Algeria and Jordan sign 5 cooperation agreements

ALGIERS - (Xinhua) - Algeria and Jordan signed today (Sunday) five cooperation agreements on the occasion of the two-day state visit of Jordan's King Abdullah bin Al-Hussein to Algeria.


The agreements were signed in the capital, Algiers, in the presence of Algerian President Abdelmadjid Tebboune and the Jordanian king.


The matter relates to a memorandum of understanding on bilateral political consultations, an agreement on mutual exemption from visas for holders of diplomatic passports, a memorandum of understanding between the Diplomatic Institute and International Relations and the Jordanian Diplomatic Institute, a joint cooperation program between the Algerian News Agency and the Jordanian News Agency, and an agreement on mutual recognition of eligibility certificates for navigators, education programs and levels Naval training.


A joint statement was issued on the state visit, in which the two sides praised the cooperation achieved in the pharmaceutical industry and the successful experience of cooperation between Algerian and Jordanian factories in this field.


They also discussed ways to increase trade exchange between the two countries, and the importance of encouraging investors and businessmen to explore opportunities and possibilities available in the economic, investment and trade fields, and expanding joint cooperation to include other sectors, including health care, energy, medical tourism, hotel, transportation, aviation training, culture, higher education and exchange. inter-university culture.


It was agreed to start preparing for the next session of the Joint Higher Committee, to be held next year.


During the visit, the Algerian President awarded the Jordanian monarch, King Abdullah bin Al-Hussein, the Atheer Medal of Merit for the Republic of Algeria.
