Bank of Palestine contributes to supporting the “Be Innovative” program, in partnership with the Qaddumi Foundation

Ramallah - “Al-Quds” dot com - Bank of Palestine , in partnership with the Al-Qadoumi Foundation, concluded its contribution to supporting the first group of beneficiaries of the “Be Innovative” program, during a ceremony that took place at the Abdul Mohsen Qattan Foundation in Ramallah, and through a video conference in Gaza, in the presence of the Minister Education, Dr. Marwan Awartani, the General Manager of Bank of Palestine, Mr. Mahmoud Shawa, and the President of the Qaddoumi Foundation, Dr. Nabil Qaddoumi, in addition to a number of partners and supporters, with the participation of 24 male and female teachers from the graduates of the first cohort.

The "Be Innovative" program aims to unleash an innovative developmental mentality with a digital orientation among male and female teachers in Palestine by providing them with concrete mechanisms and practices that help them stimulate their imagination, to identify the challenges they face in their educational environment, and to design and develop educational projects aimed at coming up with creative solutions with a digital dimension.

Dr. Marwan Awartani affirmed, "Giving space and space for initiatives of this kind is a firm commitment on the ministry, as the process of developing education needs inclusive national partnerships, as education, by its nature, is a participatory community endeavor par excellence."

In his turn, Mr. Mahmoud Shawa, General Manager of Bank of Palestine, expressed his pleasure at the graduation of the first cohort of the program, saying, “Allow me in this regard to express my happiness and pride in our support for this important program, whose activities will continue over the course of three years, which contributes to motivating and strengthening the capacities of male and female teachers to Adopt an innovative mindset by participating in interactive workshops via cyberspace to develop and implement their projects on the ground.

Shawa confirmed that Bank of Palestine pays special attention to the education sector in Palestine and gives it priority as a sector that works to build our future generations. Pointing out that the Bank's contribution is nothing but a continuation of a long journey in supporting the educational sector, and it also comes from the importance of this project in expanding the horizons and perceptions of teachers, by providing an interactive environment that refines their educational abilities and skills, and develops modern educational mechanisms and methods, so that they can face various challenges.

Shawa stressed the need to give education special importance because of its noble contents, aiming to contribute to raising the level of awareness among all segments of society, in order to achieve development, equality and justice with regard to providing job opportunities for individuals, in order to reach a developmental environment, and reduce the level of unemployment and poverty. He added that the bank has supported the education sector through many programs over the past years, including the "Zamalah" program, which constituted a unique experience for the development of the university education system by contributing to enhancing the expertise of lecturers, lecturers and administrators in 14 Palestinian universities.

Shawa praised the Qaddoumi Foundation for its societal role in adopting such programs, implementing this project, and concluding the first phase of it, and for its tireless efforts in supporting the education sector in Palestine. He thanked all the partners who contributed to the success of this program, hoping that the participants in it would have They achieved their goals in reaching their goals.

For his part, Dr. Nabil Qaddumi thanked Bank of Palestine for its contribution to supporting the Be Innovative Program, which focuses on male and female teachers as pivotal ambassadors in the educational process, especially since they have the ability to identify the challenges that they may face in their educational environment, adding that encouraging teachers to integrate This kind of thinking and digital experience allows for bottom-up change, which is of great importance in the continuous development of education.

Mrs. Rana Diab, Director of the Qaddoumi Foundation, said, "We at the Qaddoumi Foundation believe in shared responsibility in teaching and learning and are keen on it. In our program, this responsibility was embodied and reflected in partnership with various institutions from all sectors, such as the Nayzak Foundation and the Qattan Foundation, and we do not forget our supporters, Bank of Palestine and Jawwal Company.
