Haniyeh stressed the importance of implementing official tournaments in sports federations, and the council's readiness to provide the sponsorship that is provided every year for cup tournaments in team games. Ihab Kahil, a member of the Volleyball Association, thanked Abdel Salam Haniyeh for his efforts in supporting sports and developing infrastructure, and praised his efforts in supporting the Volleyball Association and achieving achievements locally and abroad.

Signing a sponsorship agreement

Abd al-Salam Haniyeh also signed an agreement to sponsor the Basketball Cup Championship for Gaza governorate clubs with Khalil Abu Shamala, Vice President of the Federation, at a value of $3,000. The tournament will bear the name of the late Adel Asmari (former Commissioner General of the Basketball Federation). In turn, Khalil Abu Shamala thanked Haniyeh's efforts in supporting sports and supporting the cup championship, and confirmed the federation's readiness to implement tournaments and pay attention to all age groups.

Olympic honors Abu Salim

And the generosity of Dr. Asaad Al-Majdalawi, Vice President of the Palestinian Olympic Committee and Vice President of the Football Association, who submitted his resignation from his position after 15 years of giving, accompanied by the Board of Directors of the Federation on the occasion of their completion of the 2022-2023 sports season, in the presence of Jamil Al-Saadouni, a member of the Olympic Committee, and its Assistant Secretary General, Muhammad Al-Amsi.
