Today, Saturday, the Israeli occupation forces suppressed a protest denouncing colonial expansion in the village of Umm Safa, northwest of Ramallah.

Local sources said that the occupation soldiers fired sound bombs and toxic gas at the citizens who participated in the stand, against the occupation's attempts to seize their lands in the "Jabal al-Ras" area in the north for the benefit of colonial expansion.

It is noteworthy that the occupation has recently escalated its colonial policy and measures in Umm Safa, the latest of which was the bulldozing of more than 200 dunums planted with olive and grape trees in the "Jabal al-Ras" area.
