Hamas: No agreement without stopping the aggression and complete withdrawal from the Gaza Strip
Hamas stressed, on Wednesday evening, that "there is no agreement or deal" with the Israeli occupation authorities "except by stopping the comprehensive aggression, completely withdrawing from the Gaza Strip, breaking the siege on the Strip and rebuilding it, and achieving a serious prisoner exchange deal," in a joint statement with the Democratic Front for the Liberation of Palestine, following a bilateral meeting in the Gaza Strip that it described as "important."
The statement pointed out that "resistance is a legitimate right of our people, recognized by all norms and covenants," adding that the "Al-Aqsa Flood" battle came as a natural response to the continued occupation and its attacks on the Palestinian people. This meeting comes to emphasize the need to "adhere to the demands of the Palestinian people to achieve their hopes and aspirations for freedom, independence, statehood and liberation."
Regarding the Palestinian political situation, the two movements stressed the importance of implementing the decisions of the Beijing Agreement and what preceded it in order to rebuild the Palestinian political system and reform the Palestine Liberation Organization. They stressed that the day after the war is an exclusive decision for the Palestinian people, and that any party outside the framework of the "national whole" will be treated "as an occupation and will have no place on the land of Palestine."
The statement stressed the continuation of joint bilateral coordination in the political, military, field and national fields, and stressed the necessity of "protecting the Palestinian internal front from any external threats or attempts to undermine security and societal peace", and "strike with an iron fist against those who tamper with, collude and violate the law and the customs and traditions of our people or undermine the popular incubator, whatever it may be."
He stressed that "strengthening and supporting the role of the competent authorities is a national duty," and stressed the necessity of "activating and mobilizing all the forces of our people in all places where they are present, especially in Jerusalem, the West Bank, and the occupied interior, in order to confront the aggression and the war of genocide against our people and our rights."
