Member of the Central Committee of Fatah, Abbas Zaki, confirmed that there is a consensus within the Central Committee on the necessity of Fatah’s unity and arranging the movement’s internal affairs as a basic condition for achieving comprehensive Palestinian national unity.

Zaki said in a special interview with Al-Quds newspaper that the Fatah movement is working hard at the current stage to restore its self-esteem, through commitment to a political program that it imposes, and with all the violence of the existential war that the occupation declared on us through annexation and execution, and commitment to the internal system, strengthening collective leadership and activating accountability mechanisms based on the movement control law to confront the exceptional stage.

Zaki stressed that Fatah unity is the main gateway to uniting the movement’s sons, and restoring mutual trust to those who have dedicated their struggle to the school of resistance culture, and have made the smallest geography the largest issue that occupies the world, and even the difficult number in the equation of conflict in the Middle East.

Zaki explained that “translating the Beijing Declaration,” which carries within it a call for advancement and achieving Palestinian national unity, begins with the precise organization of the Fatah movement in the various areas of its tasks, and raising the capabilities of its members as the vanguard of a nation, in addition to being a national liberation movement whose victory is reflected in the life of our nation from the ocean to the Gulf, and providing the conditions that allow it to launch forcefully towards achieving comprehensive national unity, as it is the backbone of the Palestine Liberation Organization, so that it can confront the serious challenges facing the Palestinian cause, and even preserve the achievements that have been made on every level.

Zaki said: “Whoever wants to achieve true national unity must first put the internal house in order to be at a decent and exemplary level, representing an attractive magnet and not a repellent one in these bad times, which imposes itself first as a condition for continuity, and this is what the Fatah leadership in the central committee, its revolutionary council and its advisory council are trying to do at this stage before it is too late.”

The risks facing Jerusalem

In another context, Zaki addressed the dangers facing Jerusalem in light of the Israeli plans through Hebraization and Judaization to obliterate its Arab and Islamic features, stressing that there is an Israeli consensus to consider Jerusalem the eternal and unified capital of the occupying state, and this is what the Palestinians reject unanimously, in general and in detail, and is not open to discussion.

He added: The "Jewish State" decision is a step towards implementing the alleged Zionist dream of transforming the West Bank into "Judea and Samaria" and the "Promised Land", and it stipulates that non-Jews have no right to self-determination on the land of Palestine, which they have reduced, according to their claim, to "Judea and Samaria."

Zaki pointed out that former US President Donald Trump, the author of the deal of the century, paved the way for the arrival of the "annexation and execution" government, which is Netanyahu's sixth government in 2021, which was called the government that resolved the conflict with the Zionist vision for a solution, by granting Jerusalem as the capital of Israel and transferring his embassy to Jerusalem.

Resolving the conflict according to the Israeli vision

Zaki referred to the decision of the Arab summits in Damascus and Baghdad in 1980 and 1990 that Arab countries should sever their relations with any country that moved its embassy to the city of Jerusalem, and no Arab cut off his relationship with America, as if the decisions of the Arab summits regarding Palestine were ink on paper, which whetted the appetite of Israeli extremism that the time is right to complete the plan based on annexing the land and executing the Palestinians, and resolving the conflict with the Israeli vision of the solution, and what is happening in Gaza of crimes that are shameful to humanity, in light of clear Arab failure.

Zaki stressed that Jerusalem is the holiest place on earth for Muslims and Christians as a spiritual status, and that there is a real test for the Islamic and Christian nation to confront the dangers threatening the holy city.

Zaki criticized the results of the conferences and summits held over the past years regarding Jerusalem, which together do not equal a single Jewish donor in America in granting billions to Judaize Jerusalem, considering that they did nothing to protect Jerusalem, stressing that Jerusalem is not only a Palestinian issue, but rather an issue that concerns everyone, and the Arab and Islamic world must realize that Jerusalem is in danger and by failing it they contradict the emotions and beliefs of their peoples who have the final say no matter how long the tyranny lasts.

Zaki called on all those loyal to Palestine, Arabism, faith and religion to support the steadfastness of the people of Jerusalem, and they are able to do so away from decisions that lack implementation, as the position with Jerusalem is a belief of any Arab Muslim or Christian in the world and cannot remain neutral.

Steadfastness in Gaza despite the genocide and humanitarian disaster

Zaki pointed out that the current Israeli government is trying to turn the Palestinian territories into an environment that repels Palestinians, to force them to emigrate from their homeland. This is a plan that is consistent with the pillars of the Zionist movement (occupation, settlement, evacuation, and expansion). It is a law that they are working on, and it has not changed. Its final stage came in the shadow of a shaky global system that does not respect the rules of international law and human rights and uses double standards.

Zaki stressed that the Palestinian people, despite all the hardships and massacres, are still steadfast, especially in the Gaza Strip, which has held out despite the humanitarian catastrophe, genocide and ethnic cleansing that has inflamed the feelings of free people in the world with a movement that champions Palestine, especially in Israel’s incubators, the most important of which are the American-European universities, the technology laboratory for Israel’s lethal weapons.

Zaki called on the Palestinians to adopt a new policy and strategy that takes into consideration that Israel is repeating the preludes to the great catastrophe of 1948, when Ben Gurion raised the slogan “Let us win through terror,” and gave free rein to the gangs “Stern, Lehi, Irgun, and Haganah” to commit more than fifty massacres from Al-Dawayima and Deir Yassin to the Tantura massacre and everything in between.

Zaki stressed the adherence to the Palestine Liberation Organization, the sole legitimate representative of the Jabbarin people, and that it cannot be hijacked or collapsed. It is necessary to activate it immediately and maximize its role as a supreme authority to follow up on everything that is happening in the region, the world and the world, considering that we are waging a battle that proves our existence in light of this type of extremism, bias towards the occupation and the moral and ethical coup against the most sacred issues of the age.

Zaki stressed the necessity of integrating political, diplomatic and popular work at this sensitive stage, pointing out that the "Beijing Declaration" was the culmination of sincere efforts to mend the rift and put the Palestinian house in order, and that the problem is no longer in the texts but rather requires determination and will to achieve the most important centers of power that lie in unity and bridging the gaps.

Zaki called for a comprehensive agreement and a code of honor among all factions and currents of the Palestinian people, stating that the fundamental contradiction is with the Israeli occupation, and that what remains are secondary differences and that our preoccupation with them serves the plans of the occupation, which relied on divide and rule "Britain led by European colonialism" and dividing the divided "led by America, the master of terrorism in the world."

The Zionist vision of the solution

In another context, Zaki stressed that everyone must acknowledge and recognize that Israel ended the two-state dream with the Knesset law of 2018, the Jewish state, in which non-Jews have no right to self-determination on its land, and they called it Judea and Samaria, and resolved the conflict with the Palestinians with the Zionist vision of the solution, as the extremist government announced the abolition of the two-state solution and even the denial of the Palestinians as a people.

According to Zaki, October 7th came to shuffle the cards and plans, the arrangements that went beyond Palestine to the region, then to the world that stood helpless in the face of unprecedented Nazi holocausts led by NATO, where NATO countries opened their weapons stores to slaughter our Palestinian people, to escalate the lives of tens of thousands of innocent children, elderly and women, and the United Nations force was no longer able to stop this humanitarian catastrophe in the proud Gaza Strip and the West Bank, including Jerusalem, which has a high status, the gateway of the earth to heaven, and that what is happening in Jerusalem, the West Bank and the afflicted Gaza Strip is considered an ideological war and the Palestinians are treated as human monsters.

Zaki stressed that Israel seeks to resolve the conflict and empty the land of its Palestinian owners, pointing out that the goal of the war on the Gaza Strip is not security-related, but rather extends beyond that to include economic goals such as the gas well discovered northwest of Gaza.

Zaki said: “They are delusional this time that they will triumph over us with terror, as Ben Gurion triumphed seventy-six years ago. We are rooted in our land like thyme and olives.”

A Palestinian people who will not surrender or resort to repeated asylum.

Zaki added, "The Palestinian people, who number more than seven million Palestinians on Palestinian land, and seven million in exile and diaspora, and who have been standing up to the old and new colonists for more than a hundred years since the infamous Balfour Declaration, are not willing to raise their hands and surrender or be burned once again by the fire of asylum, exile and persecution."

Zaki believes that it is a difficult, arduous, and long-term battle, and the profound changes in the societies that were incubators for Israel are today chanting for the liberation of Palestine, and the first drop of rain is a drop, no matter the extent of the rampage of those who are devoid of morals and have transgressed the rules of international law and the United Nations Charter.

Zaki said: "The destiny of great America is not to have presidents competing to support the Zionist terrorist state. America will enter a new phase, no matter how slow the progress is. It will not remain hostage to the Zionist lobby in AIPAC, and we will not remain Europe dragged by the Zionist locomotive to gain America's approval. Rather, it will face changes."

Zaki wondered, isn’t the recognition of the State of Palestine by five European countries an achievement and proof? Isn’t the fall of the Conservatives in Britain and the rise of the Labour Party an achievement? Isn’t the decline of Schultz in Germany, which was burned by the fire of the siege? Isn’t more recognition of Palestine by 147 countries an achievement? Change is coming and America is not destiny.

A unified Palestinian leadership and effective public action are required.

Zaki stressed that confronting the occupation's plans requires a unified Palestinian leadership and effective popular action, calling for the adoption of a rational popular resistance that seeks to attract international support and translate international resolutions in favor of the Palestinian cause, especially since there is a new international system taking shape under fire consisting of the People's Republic of China, the Russian Federation republics, the BRICS countries, and the free nations of Latin America and Africa, and the developments taking place there.

Zaki pointed out that the global movement that emerged after the crimes in the Gaza Strip due to double standards and double standards when it comes to Palestine, will contribute to forming a new international awareness and international alliances, noting that America will not remain the only power that controls the world without law, and that the war of extermination waged by Israel will reshape a new global awareness.

Zaki said: "The future of the region will belong to those who cling to their land, and the Arab peoples will not remain silent in the face of what is happening. The Arabs are strong, but they lack a strong and wise leadership that understands the importance of unity, solidarity, and confronting the Israeli and American plans in the region."

Zaki added: “The Arabs are capable of doing a lot. They have a history, values, spiritual ideals, and experiences. They are distinguished by many traits, as God Almighty says, ‘You are the best nation produced for mankind.’ They can rise above their wounds and leave the past behind them without rancor or grudges, and practice democracy according to the laws regulating their lives, which require achieving freedom and complete sovereignty. This is the path to a strong nation, ‘a strong believer is better than a weak believer.’ They also have a clear vision of the nature of the conflict and restore their position on the map with strength and power, and stop resorting to enemies to solve their problems, which have reached their peak due to the brutal aggression on the capabilities and sanctities of the peoples of the region and the region without exception.”

Zaki said: "Here I ask the leaders of our Arab countries a question. You are joining as partners in the fight against terrorism. Isn't the Israeli occupation of your central cause the highest form of terrorism?? Therefore, let us abandon the law of double standards and denial of the struggles of peoples who were liberated from colonialism with torrents of blood. There is no dispute over their identity because they have the legitimacy according to the Geneva Conventions to liberate their homelands, as Algeria, Libya and all the Arab countries that defeated colonialism and occupation did."
