Jordanian Foreign Minister: Attempting to Displace West Bank Palestinians to the Kingdom Would Be a “Declaration of War” and We Will Not Send Our Soldiers to the Gaza Strip
Jordanian Foreign Minister Ayman Safadi stressed that Israeli measures on the ground have killed all chances of achieving just peace in Palestine, during a press conference with his German counterpart Annalena Baerbock on Thursday.
He added that his country supports the prisoner exchange deal, noting that it was obstructed by Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu, who changed his positions and withdrew from his commitments.
He expressed his rejection of the allegations promoted by Netanyahu regarding the Philadelphi Corridor and the borders with Jordan, and stressed that his country will not accept any approach that treats the Gaza Strip as a separate part of the West Bank, and he also called on Israel to withdraw from Gaza.
He stated that his country will not send its soldiers as part of Israeli security approaches in Gaza so as not to expose them to any attack, noting that any attempt to displace West Bank Palestinians to the Kingdom is tantamount to a declaration of war on Jordan.
