Thank you, Axis of Resistance.. and That's enough
You cannot help but respect Mr. Hassan Nasrallah for his staunch defense of what he believes in, and his frankness in setting priorities. This was evident in his speech last Sunday about the response to the assassination of Fouad Shukr, and Israel’s response to the response, where he was clear about his Shiite and Lebanese sectarian affiliation, which is the priority, and everything else is just tools to serve him.
He began his speech by reminding us that today is the Arbaeen anniversary of Al-Hussein Abi Abdullah, and he greeted him, Ali Ibn Al-Hussein, the children of Al-Hussein, and the companions of Al-Hussein. He spoke about the pilgrimage to Karbala and its visitors, whose number exceeds 21 million, and the greatness of the scene, linking Karbala to what is happening in Palestine!! Then he spoke about Iran and the support fronts in Iran, Iraq, and Yemen and their role, and after that he spoke about Lebanon and what happened on Sunday.
Mr. Hassan Nasrallah was clear in his commitment to the rules of engagement and their goal. He did not say that Hezbollah aims to liberate Palestine, or even the Gaza Strip. Rather, he said that he and the Shiite axis are a support front for the resistance and that the operation that took place on Sunday was a response to the Israeli operation in the southern suburb of Beirut that led to the death of Shukr. He said that Hezbollah does not target Israeli civilians or infrastructure, but only military sites so that Israel does not respond by targeting civilians and infrastructure in Lebanon, ignoring the fact that there are more than forty thousand martyrs in the Strip, and many times that number of missing and wounded, most of whom are civilians. He also did not mention Jerusalem, Al-Aqsa Mosque, or settlements.
He said that the round of war had ended and asked the Lebanese to return to their normal lives. Since the beginning of the war of extermination, he and the axis of resistance said that the war on the northern front would stop if an agreement was reached to stop the war on Gaza!
I will try to clarify some matters, not with the intention of offending Hezbollah or the Palestinian resistance factions in Gaza, but so that we can put things in their proper place, and so that some people do not continue to bet on external support to liberate Palestine, and even liberate the Gaza Strip, or return things there to what they were on October 7.
If Hezbollah does not target Israeli civilians or Israeli infrastructure out of concern for Lebanon and its people, isn’t it required of the Palestinian fighting factions, both combatants and non-combatants, and the PLO to think of a national strategy for resistance with multiple paths and tools in all areas of Palestinian presence, instead of the futile and blind tunnels and missiles that do not cause harm or kill the enemy, but rather employ them to claim that through its aggression and destructive war it is defending itself against Palestinian missiles that target Israeli civilians and infrastructure?
After the limits of support and backing for the axis of resistance became clear, and the possibilities of a regional or comprehensive war were removed, and after each of the four parties of the axis of resistance, Iran, Hezbollah, the Houthis, the Shiites of Iraq, and the Israelis, scored points in their favor or against them, without that affecting the course of the war of extermination, but rather diverted attention relatively from the Gaza war in favor of the northern front, and with Israel’s claims that it is fighting Iran and not only the Palestinian factions, but also justifying the expansion of its attack and aggression to the West Bank, as has been happening since yesterday, that it is targeting cells affiliated with Iran, wouldn’t it be more useful for the armed resistance factions to seek support and backing from within the Palestinian arena, and from within the Sunni camp that Iran is hostile to, and to search for the reason for this camp’s official and popular failure to support the people of Gaza and the national cause in general?
Doesn't Hezbollah and the resistance axis' statement that they will stop the escalation if the resistance factions agree to a truce and stop the war remind us of what the Arab regimes said years ago, "We accept whatever the Palestine Liberation Organization accepts," while they know the great imbalance in the balance of power between the Palestinians and the Israelis, whether with the PLO or with the resistance factions? We say this and call for rational thinking about it, not to reach a conclusion that the armed resistance factions and the resistance axis are wrong, and to bet instead on the PLO, the Palestinian Authority, and the Sunni camp in its current reality, to achieve what the fighting factions failed to achieve, but rather to search and agree, as we mentioned, on a national strategy in which everyone participates to save what can be saved, and there is no need for anyone to be stubborn by claiming that he is achieving achievements and victories, he just needs more time and to stop criticizing his approach and policies! We say it frankly that more time under the current circumstances, balance of power, and alliances means more Palestinian blood, and more destruction and devastation for Gaza, the West Bank, Jerusalem, and the entire national cause.
Doesn’t Hezbollah and the resistance axis’ statement that they will stop the escalation if the resistance factions agree to a truce and stop the war remind us of what the Arab regimes said years ago: “We accept whatever the Palestine Liberation Organization accepts,” while they know the great imbalance in the balance of power between the Palestinians and the Israelis?!
