Hamas must avoid harming Israeli civilians

The Al-Qassam Brigades, in cooperation with the Al-Quds Brigades, announced the implementation of a martyrdom operation on the evening of Sunday, August 18, 2024, in Tel Aviv. Hamas confirmed that martyrdom operations in the first occupation areas in 1948 will return to the forefront and that the reason for the return of martyrdom operations is due to: 1- Continuation of the occupation massacres, 2- Displacing civilians from their homes and destroying them, 3- In response to the policy of assassinations.

The occupation commits genocide and ethnic cleansing crimes, openly and clearly, under camera surveillance, and monitored by countries of the world, especially America and Europe. However, it does not accept advice, it does not retreat. Why would it retreat when the American House of Representatives and Senate celebrate it, in a way that no American president, or foreign president, guest, or ally, enjoys??

The October 7 operation achieved a shocking surprise, and its repercussions in the Israeli invasion of the Gaza Strip, killing tens of thousands of Palestinians, and destroying the infrastructure, including schools, hospitals, places of worship, and service sites, achieved an unprecedented international achievement in value, quality, and breadth:

1- Countries of the world, especially Europe, have increased their recognition of the Palestinian state.

2- The emergence of Jewish statements and positions in the United States and Europe, which boast of their Jewishness, but they are not Zionists, and do not support the Israeli colony in its crimes against the Palestinians.

3- The uprising of American and European university youth, towards:

First, their sympathy, support and solidarity with the Palestinian people. Second, their rejection of the colony’s policies against the Palestinians. Third, their rejection of the policies of their countries: the United States, Britain, France, Germany, and Italy, which support the Israeli colony.

Therefore, these achievements must be preserved and developed, because they expressed their understanding of the suffering of the Palestinian people, and their understanding of their struggle to seize their rights on the land of their homeland, Palestine.

Therefore, Hamas must think more than once about how and where it can carry out its operations. It needs to impose its political, moral and ethical presence in front of the world, by continuing its struggle against the colony and the occupation. However, it must avoid harming Israeli civilians as much as possible, but so as not to give the colony's government justifications for its crimes, lest Netanyahu say: Didn't I tell you? Here is Hamas detonating its operations against civilians in Tel Aviv? And Israeli civilians are falling victim.

Therefore, Hamas must continue its distinguished struggle against the soldiers and army of the occupation, especially in the Gaza Strip and the West Bank, in order to make the occupation costly, and so as not to give the government of the colony a weapon in its hostility to the Palestinians, as if its response is merely a defense of the harm they are being subjected to, and not because of their continued occupation of Palestine.

Hamas has become a declared party that is being negotiated with indirectly by the Americans, the Israelis, and the Egyptian and Qatari mediators, which means accepting its existence and that it is the deciding party in the conflict from the Palestinian side. Therefore, it must always reconsider its policies after it announced in Doha on May 1, 2017, its acceptance of the goal of a Palestinian state within the 1967 borders. Therefore, its operations must be limited to the borders of its state occupied in 1967.
