Large-scale Israeli arrest campaign in the West Bank and Jerusalem
This morning, Wednesday, the Israeli occupation forces launched a large-scale arrest campaign in the West Bank and occupied Jerusalem.
In Jericho, the occupation forces stormed Aqabat Jaber and raided a number of citizens’ homes before arresting Hekmat Awadat and the brothers Ahmed and Mohammed Al-Mimi.
In Tulkarm, the occupation forces arrested Baraa Taher Amer after raiding his home in the Al-Ras neighborhood in the town of Allar, and Bader Radwan from his home in the town of Zeita.
In occupied Jerusalem, the occupation forces arrested the three brothers, Khalil, Ahmed and Mahmoud Al-Awawdeh, after raiding and searching their home in Qalandia camp.
These forces severely beat a number of citizens during their raid on a number of homes in the camp, causing one of them to break his leg.
The occupation also detained more than 12 young men and subjected them to field investigation, one of whom was suffering from kidney failure. Among them were identified as: Hamza Zayed Al-Sarsour, Ahmed Matar, Yousef Rashid Nabhan, Khaled Mohammed Rashid Nabhan, Moataz Yousef Rashid Nabhan, Saleh Manasra, Mahmoud Manasra, and the brothers Haroun Jaber Hazin and Mohammed Jaber Hazin.
In Qalqilya, the occupation forces stormed the city and arrested: Ibrahim Abu Haniya, Mahmoud Abu Bakr, Abdul Karim Abu Hamed, Ziad Daoud and his son "Maher", after raiding and searching their homes.
In Bethlehem, the occupation forces arrested citizen Rizq Hammash (54 years old), the father of the martyr Muhammad Hammash who was martyred yesterday at the tunnel checkpoint in Beit Jala, and his two sons Wadih (21 years old) and Adam, after raiding and searching his house.
Meanwhile, the young man Dawoud Yahya Abu Omar (22 years old) was arrested, while Akram Abdul Shafut (47 years old), the Secretary of the Fatah Movement in the Deheishe Camp, Nidal Muhammad Khalawi (41 years old), and Nabaa Omar Al-Saifi (33 years old) were detained for several hours and were later released.
Clashes also erupted in the camp, during which the occupation soldiers fired live bullets, tear gas and sound bombs, which led to a number of citizens suffering from suffocation.
In the town of Doha, west of Bethlehem, the occupation forces arrested the young man, Yousef Ibrahim Al-Afifi, after raiding and searching his father’s house.
