“Among the dead are 6 female journalists, namely: Salma Mkhaimer, Salam Mima, Iman Al-Aqili, Alaa Al-Hasanat, Ayat Khadura, and Doaa Sharaf.”

The Palestinian Journalists Syndicate announced that 66 journalists have been killed in the Israeli war on the Gaza Strip since October 7.

It reported in a statement that "two journalists are missing, Nidal Al-Wahidi and Haitham Abdel-Wahed, while there are 31 captured journalists who were arrested by the occupation authorities in the Palestinian territories."

In addition, in its statement, the union called on “all international, Arab and Palestinian institutions working in the feminist and human rights sector to follow up and prosecute the Israeli occupation system for its crimes against fellow journalists who are being targeted for murder, arrest, persecution, beatings and assault on the basis of their journalistic work.”
