Turkish Public Prosecution is preparing to file a complaint against Netanyahu with the International Criminal Court: He committed war crimes in front of our eyes

The Turkish Public Prosecution in Istanbul is preparing to file a criminal complaint against Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu to the International Criminal Court, where it officially referred the complaint to the Foreign Relations and European Union Committee of the Turkish Ministry of Justice, Tuesday, November 14, 2023.

Earlier, the former representative of the Turkish Justice and Development Party, Metin Kulonek, and the lawyers Mujahid Berinci and Burak Bakiroglu submitted a criminal complaint to the Turkish Public Prosecution against Netanyahu for war crimes committed by the occupation forces in Gaza.

The petition, which demanded that the complaint be sent to the International Criminal Court, stated that Netanyahu, who is wanted to be tried, committed several crimes such as “(war crimes),” “genocide,” and “(crimes) against humanity” before the eyes of the whole world.

The petition stated, “Netanyahu is slaughtering all the residents of Gaza, including children, infants, women, and civilians, in order to transform the imaginary map of the Zionist structure into reality.”

It added, "The subject of our request and petition is Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu, as he does not hesitate to use internationally prohibited weapons while committing the crimes he is accused of. The crimes he commits without fear and in an undeniable manner should not be tolerated by humanity."

The petition stated that Netanyahu and his team should be tried before the ICC within the framework of international criminal standards, “which is necessary for humanity’s trust in the law, and so that a perception of impunity does not arise. Otherwise, remaining silent in the face of all these events will harm humanity’s faith in the law and the ICC.” "It will cast a shadow over the integrity of the court."

The petition, which also included pictures of children martyred and injured in Gaza as a result of Israeli attacks, called for a lawsuit to be filed against Netanyahu and other perpetrators to determine their identities.

Since the first days of the Israeli aggression on Gaza, Turkish citizens have filed many criminal complaints against Netanyahu and Israeli officials, and these petitions were sent to the Ministry of Justice to take the necessary measures, according to Anadolu.

For the 40th day, the Israeli occupation army is waging a devastating war on Gaza, leaving 11,320 Palestinian martyrs, including 4,650 children and 3,145 women, in addition to 29,200 injured, 70% of whom are children and women, according to official Palestinian sources.
