On Friday, the Israeli police deployed 5,000 police officers in occupied Jerusalem and other cities, fearing Palestinian attacks during the Jewish holidays that begin this evening.
According to the Hebrew newspaper Israel Hayom, the focus will be largely throughout the holiday period on the areas where intelligence information comes about the possibility of attacks, in order to provide a quick response to any scenario, especially attempts to carry out attacks.
Focus will also be on mixed cities for fear of any unusual events.
Yesterday, the Israeli army announced that it had decided to impose a comprehensive closure on the Palestinian territories due to Jewish holidays.
