Serious injury by occupation bullets in Nablus and a tight siege on Madama village

The city of Nablus, north of the occupied West Bank, witnessed a new field escalation, as a Palestinian young man was seriously injured by Israeli occupation forces' bullets during a wide incursion into the city and its surroundings. Medical sources confirmed that live bullets hit the young man in the shoulder area while he was in the town of Beit Wazan to the west, and he was subsequently transferred to the hospital for urgent treatment, with his condition classified as serious.

The military force had penetrated Nablus neighborhoods this morning, and its operations focused on the Rafidia neighborhood, where soldiers raided a residential building and began conducting field investigations with its residents. After withdrawing from the neighborhood, occupation soldiers fired a barrage of live bullets indiscriminately in the vicinity of the Beit Wazan area, leading to the serious injury among citizens.

In a related context, occupation forces imposed a tight military cordon on Madama village, located south of Nablus, and began extensive combing operations in farms and residential neighborhoods. This military measure came under the pretext of searching for the perpetrator of a stone-throwing operation that targeted settlers' vehicles, resulting in minor injuries to a settler, according to a statement by the occupation army.

These field developments come at a time when the Wall and Settlement Resistance Commission revealed a sharp escalation in violations, with March alone recording more than 1800 attacks carried out by the army and settlers. Data showed that the occupation army was responsible for 1322 attacks, while settlers launched about 497 attacks targeting Palestinian property and lives in various governorates.

It is worth noting that the West Bank has been in a state of continuous turmoil since October 2023, with the death toll exceeding 1150 martyrs and thousands injured due to ongoing military operations. Human rights reports also indicate that the beginning of 2026 alone witnessed the martyrdom of 16 citizens by settlers' bullets, reflecting the green light given to settler groups to carry out bloody attacks under army protection.
