The UN rapporteur on the situation of human rights in the occupied Palestinian territory, Francesca Albanese, stressed the need to punish Israel and prevent the export of weapons to it.
Albanese said, in a press conference held today, Thursday, that the situation in the Gaza Strip has not changed, after the International Court of Justice issued a decision to stop genocide.
She added: The horror that the people of Gaza are experiencing is indescribable, and the situation is getting worse in the West Bank as well, and the United Nations must shoulder its humanitarian responsibility and provide safety for the displaced.
The UN rapporteur called for the necessity of imposing sanctions on Israel, an immediate ceasefire, and providing protection for the Palestinians.
Albanese confirmed that Israel still refuses her entry into the occupied territories to carry out her work.
