Turkish President Recep Tayyip Erdogan described European leaders as “prisoners of the shame of the Holocaust” for their “unfair” positions regarding what the Palestinians are subjected to by the Israeli army in Gaza.

This came in press statements on Monday after a Turkish government meeting in the capital, Ankara.

He added: "Since October 7, Gaza has witnessed brutality no less than what happened during the Crusades a thousand years ago and in World War II."

The Turkish President said: "We sent 800 tons of humanitarian aid for our brothers in Gaza."

He stated that "the Turkish helping hand is present everywhere where tears are shed and hearts are broken, from Turkestan to Afghanistan and from the Balkans to Africa."

He stressed that his country had intensified its efforts to stop the bloodshed in Gaza, saying: "We follow with regret the lack of conscience of Western countries."

He said: "Israel and its supporters are using all modern means of war against children, women and the elderly, and they will be tried before the conscience of humanity."

The Turkish President stressed that Turkey is "the only country that Israel cannot, no matter how hard it tries, accuse it of anti-Semitism, as there is no such stain in Turkey's past."

The Turkish President also touched on the issue of Israeli nuclear weapons and stressed that his country will not allow this issue to be forgotten.

On Monday, United Nations Secretary-General António Guterres denounced the events taking place in the Gaza Strip since October 7, describing them as an “unparalleled and unprecedented killing of civilians” since he took office.

“What is clear is that in a few weeks we have witnessed the killing of thousands of children, and this is what is important,” Guterres said, during the presentation of a new United Nations report on the environment, in New York City, USA.

He stressed, "We are witnessing the killing of civilians in an unparalleled and unprecedented manner in any conflict since I assumed my current position."

Guterres pointed out that "it is important that we are able to turn tragedy into opportunity."

He added: "It is necessary that after the war we move in a decisive manner towards implementing the two-state solution."

He said he had been "very clear" in condemning violations of international humanitarian law and violations of the protection of civilians.

In response to a question about why the Israeli attacks were not described as “war crimes,” Guterres said he did not have a “mandate” to do so.

U.S. officials believe that Jerusalem's attitude toward the Palestinian Authority would soften if it agreed to stop acting against Israel in international bodies and ended its highly contentious payment system for convicted murderers in Israeli prisons.

The Biden administration believes Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu and the Israeli government would agree to the Palestinian Authority eventually assuming control over post-war Gaza if specific policy changes are instituted, according to U.S. and Israeli officials.

U.S. officials believe that Jerusalem's attitude toward the Palestinian Authority would soften if it agreed to stop acting against Israel in international bodies and ended its highly contentious payment system for convicted murderers in Israeli prisons.

Despite Israel's public opposition to allowing the PA to control Gaza, U.S. officials say it has not presented any alternative for post-war Gaza's leadership. Key Arab states, including Gulf countries with whom Israel wants to continue pursuing political rapprochement, support the option of the West Bank and Gaza being governed together under the authority of the PA.

"As we strive for peace, Gaza and the West Bank should be reunited under a single governance structure, ultimately under a revitalized Palestinian Authority, as we all work toward a two-state solution," Biden wrote in the Washington Post on Saturday.

During his visit to Israel and several Arab states last week, Brett McGurk, Biden's top Middle East advisor, dedicated particular focus to the war's aftermath and possible arrangements for Gaza's future leadership structure.

In the upcoming weeks, U.S. officials plan to delve further into Israel's demands from the PA and the PA's potential ability to meet them to pave the way for an eventual assumption of power in Gaza with international backing.

Senior U.S. officials who visited Israel last week explicitly warned about the Palestinian Authority's potential collapse and the threat of a "second front" opening in the West Bank. The expert explained that the deployment is in accordance with a defensive plan to anticipate the occurrence of an attack, or that it is linked to the completion of a political decision that may be taken, and this decision may require a corresponding response, and thus this proactive step came from the Jordanian army, expressing his belief that the Jordanian position is related to the risks of forced displacement from The West Bank, and that there will be a political decision related to this matter, especially since Jordan will not allow displacement.

Official fears

Al Jazeera Net learned from informed sources that the decision-maker in Jordan views with fear the escalation of military and security events in the West Bank, especially in the Jenin camp, considering it as an early warning of the possibility of an Israeli military escalation, which could ultimately lead to chaos, and thus the threats to emigrate population from the West Bank to Jordan escalate. This means placing the Jordanian state before unexpected and unacceptable possibilities and escalation scenarios.

The Jordanian army had opened an investigation after 7 members of the Jordanian field hospital in Gaza were injured while trying to treat Palestinian citizens who were injured during an Israeli bombing, according to a statement issued by the army.

In a statement today, Sunday, Jordanian King Abdullah II said that the attack on the medical teams in the field hospital in Gaza was a “heinous crime,” noting that “appropriate measures will be taken to deal with this attack.”

A prominent Israeli military analyst confirmed on Monday that it is currently too early to talk about the collapse of the Islamic Resistance Movement (Hamas) in the Gaza Strip.

Amos Harel said in an article published in the newspaper "Haaretz" that there is a major escalation in Gaza currently, as Israeli forces are focusing on targeting the Jabalia refugee camp, the Zaytoun neighborhood, and several neighborhoods close to Gaza City.

He added, "During the first three weeks of ground operations, the Israeli army did not advance into these neighborhoods north and east of the city."

He pointed out that Israeli military units "operate in a dense and very dangerous urban area," which increases the possibility of mistaken fire between them as a result of the intense, widespread fire.

Harel explained that there are incidents related to fatigue after weeks of activity, and an increasing phenomenon of failure to adhere to combat discipline.

The Israeli army was reported to have killed a large number of Palestinian militants and targeted new targets, sometimes in areas that had been occupied earlier during the operations.

Israeli army strategy

The analyst explained that the army's strategy is to slowly deploy large forces to ensure their safety, rather than quickly entering areas to clear them of resistance using air and artillery strikes.

Besides, a long array of secondary forces and logistics units are currently deployed inside the Gaza Strip, which poses a major challenge in maintaining the level of combat discipline on the front.

The analyst added that the Israeli army is currently operating on the ground in the last major areas in the northern Gaza Strip. He added, "However, it is too early to talk about the collapse of Hamas," whose capabilities in the south are still intact, and that its leadership is still present and hiding there as well.

Harel added, "There are still military objectives to be dealt with in the northern Gaza Strip, but Israeli political and military leaders will have to decide whether there are too many potential gains to justify the effort and risks to soldiers' lives."

This report comes in light of the ground incursion by Israeli forces into the Gaza Strip, in response to the “Al-Aqsa Flood” operation launched by the resistance on the 7th of last October.

Last week, Bowen published a report in which he expressed his doubts about the existence of any evidence with the Israeli army that there is a Hamas headquarters in Al-Shifa Hospital. He also pointed out that journalists do not have the right to move freely in the Gaza Strip, noting that journalists working in the Gaza Strip are forced to work under the supervision of the Israeli military.

The Director-General of the Ministry of Health in Gaza, Dr. Munir Al-Bursh, said that the Israeli occupation destroyed some of the buildings of the Indonesian Hospital, while other buildings are under Israeli snipers who target any movement from above.

It is difficult to forget the images of premature babies waiting for the end of life, to forget the storming of the Shifa complex and other hospitals in northern Gaza by a military full of hatred and barbarism, or to forget the incident of the National Baptist Hospital and the hundreds of victims who died there and the attempt to exonerate the Israelis from it, for no other reason than inhumane the malice that  implied that attacking a site with a Christian title offends public opinion sympathetic to an occupying force that kills innocents in defense of this occupation. 

With the repeated question that has traveled the world: How many victims are enough for Israel to consider that its revenge on Gaza has been accomplished? There was no answer except more killing chasing those walking along the paths of displacement, in UNRWA schools, and in homes near and far. The world was so overwhelmed by the extent of the Palestinian death that the Israeli killing machine had accumulated on its conscience, to the extent that it forgot the dead in the settlements surrounding the Gaza Strip after attacking them on the first day, as if the Israelis themselves did not also respect the lives of their victims.

There is no secret anymore, as Israel is heading to invade the entire Gaza Strip. “We will be in a place,” Benjamin Netanyahu said, meaning reoccupation. Joe Biden only said that “that would be a mistake,” meaning that he would let him occupy and then see how he could secure political coverage for him. But the Israeli wants to control the ruins of what once was, and cities with a history older than Israel, and wants to exterminate a generation of Palestinians and occupy a land without a population to ensure safety, but it does not establish any security or peace.

Where do the residents go? The bombing and killing will continue until the displacement scenario becomes a reality. Egypt has previously rejected and is currently rejecting this project, Jordan rejects it, the Arab-Islamic Summit also rejects it, even the Europeans say they reject it but no one believes them, and the American administration even rejects it but is evasive to keep it on the table, and its argument is ready, as it is waiting for some end to the war in order to defend “ “Realistic” displacement, under the pretext that the Gaza Strip will be ruins that no one can contribute to its restoration, in addition to the most important thing, which is the impossibility of rehousing two and a half million people - with or without “Hamas” - who pose a “danger” to Israel and its security, ignoring that the occupation was and will remain a danger to the entire Middle East.

Displacement is rejected, not only because it is “forced” and therefore considered a “war crime” by international law, but also because it does not constitute a solution to the “Gaza dilemma” but rather confirms the pursuit of the “Gaza Nakba 2023” (according to a statement that Minister Avi Dichter derived from internal discussions). It is rejected because it actually aims to liquidate the entire Palestinian issue (in fulfillment of the ambitions of Bezalel Smotrich and Itamar Ben Gvir and their religious Zionist doctrine). 

Even the Hebrew press disapproved of the rhetoric of extremists whose longing to restore the Gush Katif settlements in the southwest of the Gaza Strip, in addition to being astonished at the low and obscene level of populist rhetoric in which military commanders say in the most “polite” language: “We will annihilate it (the Gaza Strip) and annihilate its memory.”

More than the madness of individuals, this reflects an unbridled collective hysteria with no limits to its vengeance and brutality, and this is what appeared in the first contact between the military and everyone else in the Shifa Complex. They said, false propaganda is necessary. They brought medical supplies with them while the hospital was out of service and did not bring fuel to restart it. Then they sabotaged the equipment and destroyed the medicine cabinets. They did not care about the sick and injured and killed those trying to escape from the displaced people crowded around the hospital. They left everyone for days without No water or food, then they gave them an hour to leave on foot, and some of them were unable to walk due to their health condition. At that moment, Yoav Galant (Defense Minister) did not say which of the “human animals” was: the Israeli military or the civilians he was abusing?

There are no words to describe what has become “beyond hysteria,” especially after discovering that there is nothing reliable beneath the hospital: no leadership, no Hamas fighters hiding there, no weapons arsenal, no hostage takers, and no operating room, and assuming it exists at all. Since the start of the ground operation, there has been sufficient time to evacuate and move them. In any case, these were allegations based on old intelligence information, but that did not prevent even the White House from insisting on believing them, even though media witnesses brought in from CNN and the BBC said that the Israeli story and outcome were empty. In fact, the matter is not about accessing the "tunnels" as much as it was about completing the emptying of northern Gaza of its remaining residents who had no place to resort to. But the occupation does not want their presence, as it learned from its long experience with the Gaza Strip before its withdrawal from it in 2005 the impossibility of coexistence between Gaza and the occupation.

This erratic Israeli approach has a strong impact on “post-war Gaza,” and there is no vision of ending it. Discussions are built on assumptions, the most important of which is “eliminating Hamas,” which in this case means that the war will last without a specific “end,” because the Israelis were not content with about fifty thousand Palestinians dead, missing, or injured, and the destruction they caused. Rather, they do not recognize any “victory.” Unless the Hamas missiles stop completely, and unless they reach Muhammad al-Deif, Yahya al-Sinwar and others to arrest them or show their murdered bodies... All the other hypotheses proposed seem absurd as long as there is no international will - specifically American - to prevent Israel from reoccupying the Gaza Strip, and to resolve the issue. 

The people of Gaza remain on their land because this is simply their right. The United States and the Western world face two tests: either respect and enforce international law, or submit to the law imposed by the Israeli occupation. Either there is a real determination to achieve the “two-state solution,” or a determination to consider this solution merely a symbol of permanent hypocrisy.

Since the “Al-Aqsa Flood” attack and the war that followed it, it has been frequently said that “what happened did not come out of nowhere” (Antonio Guterres), and that it was “the result of the international community’s failure to find a political solution to the Palestinian issue” (Josep Borrell). These are two facts that cannot be denied even in internal discussions in Washington, London, Berlin and Paris, without their public acknowledgment. 

The issue raised by the war is related in particular to a “Western function” that Israel failed to perform, and to “peace agreements” that it disrespected and mis-implemented, using the “Oslo Accords” as a means to perpetuate the colonization of Palestine and its people, and relying on absolute American support that is not devoid of stupidity. 

Now Washington and others lack the presence of a “vibrant and ready” Palestinian Authority, forgetting that they and Israel have done everything to weaken and incapacitate this authority.

US President Joe Biden's senior advisor, Amos Hockstein, arrived in Israel on Monday to hold talks with senior officials there about preventing war between Israel and Lebanon, according to what US and Israeli officials told Axios.

American officials say there is growing concern in the White House that Israeli military action in Lebanon is exacerbating tensions along the border, which could lead to a regional war.

It is likely that the Israeli condition for the presence of a supervising UN team on the Egyptian side “may have come in light of indications from some official parties that Egypt is turning a blind eye to the weapons entering the Gaza Strip, as the Egyptian border with Gaza is the main route to it.”

The Ministry of Education said that more than 5,000 children, including more than 3,000 students, have been killed since the start of the Israeli occupation’s aggression against the Gaza Strip, on the 7th of last October.

The Ministry of Education added in a press statement today, Monday, on the occasion of International Children’s Day, that the scenes of killing children and school students in the Gaza Strip exceeded all norms and conventions, as these horrific scenes, which are transmitted on television and the media, reveal the mentality of the occupation and its continued targeting of education in all governorates of the country. Pointing out that there are other scenes taking place in the governorates of the West Bank and Jerusalem, including Cold-blooded killings, raids on schools, and obstruction of the arrival of students and educational staff.

The Ministry of Education called on the countries and institutions of the world to protect the right of Palestinian children and school students to life and education, and to stand against the occupation and the oppressive practices of its army and colonialists through a series of continuous targeting of children, stressing the natural right of our children to a decent life and a safe and stable education.

The Ministry called on all organizations and institutions defending childhood and the right to education to assume their responsibilities within the context of their jurisdiction, curb the escalating violations, stop the crimes committed by the occupation against children, students, and educational personnel in all regions, and intervene urgently and immediately to stop this aggression.

A young Palestinian man was killed by Israeli army gunfire - at dawn on Monday - after Israeli forces stormed the Arroub camp, north of the city of Hebron, as part of numerous raids into towns and cities in the West Bank.

The Palestinian Red Crescent Society said, in a brief statement, that the Israeli army handed over to its crews in Hebron a martyr who had fallen in the Al-Arroub camp.

Eyewitnesses reported that an Israeli force chased a Palestinian vehicle near the Arroub camp and opened fire on it, wounding one of its passengers, while Israeli forces arrested another Palestinian who was on board.

Eyewitnesses said that the army detained the injured Palestinian for several hours before handing him over to the Palestinian Red Crescent Society, only to announce his death later.

Storms and arrests

The occupation forces stormed several cities and towns in the West Bank - at dawn on Monday - most notably the city of Ramallah, Tulkarm, Jericho, the Al-Far'a camp near Tubas, and the towns of Bidya, Masha and Qarawa in Salfit Governorate, according to local Palestinian sources.

The Israeli army launched an arrest campaign that injured many Palestinians, including a university student from the city of Ramallah.

In Al-Faraa camp, confrontations broke out between the occupation forces and dozens of Palestinians, during which Israeli forces used live bullets against civilians, resulting in the injury of a Palestinian, according to the Red Crescent Society.

The Palestinian News Agency reported that the Israeli occupation forces also stormed the city of Jericho and the Aqabat Jabr camp, southwest of the city yesterday.

It quoted local sources as saying that the occupation forces stormed Jericho, raided the Katf al-Wad neighborhood, and surrounded one of the residential buildings in the neighborhood, with reports of storming a residential apartment inside it.

Local Palestinian sources also reported that the occupation forces also stormed the Aqabat Jabr camp, and confrontations broke out in the camp, with the Israeli occupation forces firing bullets randomly.

The West Bank has witnessed a wave of tension and confrontations between the Palestinians and the Israeli occupation army forces since last October 7, the intensity of which increased during the Israeli incursion into the cities and towns of the West Bank.

The number of killed in the West Bank has risen to more than 200, in addition to about 2,800 wounded since October 7, with escalating tensions and confrontations coinciding with the ongoing Israeli bombing of the Gaza Strip.

The intense Israeli war on Gaza resulted in the death of more than 13,000 Palestinians - most of them women and children - as well as the injury of more than 30,000 others.

The United Nations Population Fund said that about 70% of the victims in the Gaza Strip are women and children.

The United Nations Population Fund for the Arab States wrote, in a blog post on its account on the “X” platform, that “Palestinian women and children deserve life.

It added, "Palestinian women and children are not military targets. Stop shooting now."

15 citizens, including children and women, were killed today, Monday, during the bombing by Israeli  warplanes on two homes in the city of Rafah, south of the Gaza Strip.

Local sources reported that Israeli aircraft bombed two homes belonging to the Dhahir and Abu Shalouf families in Rafah, on the heads of those in them, near Abu Youssef Al-Najjar Hospital, which led to the death of 15 residents, most of them children and women, and the injury of dozens, in addition to the presence of dozens under the rubble.
