10 injured, homes and property burned in a large-scale settler attack east of Ramallah

Ten citizens were injured in a large-scale settler attack on the town of Deir Dibwan, east of Ramallah, on Wednesday evening.

According to local sources, dozens of settlers attacked homes in the town of Deir Dibwan, burning three houses and the area known as "Abu Shahada Estate" at the western entrance, as well as a number of vehicles and horse and sheep pens. They besieged citizens inside their homes and prevented young men, ambulances and fire engines from reaching the area. They also threw stones at vehicles passing by on the main street adjacent to the town.

The sources added that 10 citizens were injured, two of whom were taken to the hospital, while the rest received treatment at a medical center in the town.

The Palestinian Red Crescent Society said its crews treated two people injured by physical assault during an attack by settlers in the town of Deir Dibwan. They were then transferred to the hospital. Five other people injured by the assault were also treated at a medical center in the town.

The sources added that settlers from the colonial outpost established on the lands of the towns of Deir Dibwan and Barqa also attacked homes and property belonging to citizens in the neighboring village of Beitin, and attempted to set fire to a number of them.

The sources added that the occupation forces, which provided protection for the settlers, closed the entrance to the town and prevented citizens from leaving or entering it.

Washington intends to use its veto in the Security Council to thwart a draft resolution for a ceasefire.

According to the American website Axios, the United States has informed Israel of its intention to veto a draft resolution at the UN Security Council calling for an immediate and unconditional ceasefire in Gaza. The report believes that the resolution does not adequately address Hamas's responsibility for the conflict and could hinder ongoing efforts to negotiate a ceasefire and the release of hostages.

The United States believes the resolution does not link a ceasefire to the release of the hostages, which the United States considers essential to achieving sustainable peace. The United States has long argued that a ceasefire without the release of the hostages would only embolden Hamas.

It is noteworthy that this resolution (veto) is the latest in a series of US vetoes of UN Security Council resolutions related to the Israeli war of extermination on the devastated Gaza Strip, which is now being deliberately starved. The United States has previously used its veto against resolutions calling for an immediate ceasefire, under the pretext of its "concerns" that it would undermine negotiations or Israel's right to defend itself.

The US position has drawn criticism from numerous countries and relief organizations, which have expressed concern over the humanitarian crisis in Gaza and the need for an immediate ceasefire.

The United States actively participated in diplomatic efforts to negotiate a ceasefire and release the hostages, working with Qatar and Egypt, under the supervision of US Special Envoy Steve Witkoff, who repeatedly backed down from his ceasefire proposals, each time due to the Netanyahu government's retractions.

It is noteworthy that the United Nations Security Council had adopted a resolution in March 2024, 2024 calling for an immediate ceasefire during the month of Ramadan (March 10, 2024-April 9, 2024), with the United States, under the leadership of former President Joe Biden, abstaining from voting, which automatically passed the resolution, as 14 other members voted in favor of the resolution. However, Israel did not abide by the Security Council resolution, and the United States did nothing to activate pressure on Israel to implement the resolution. On the contrary, it supported Israeli efforts at that time to invade Rafah.

US envoy to Syria discusses regional situation with Netanyahu

US President Donald Trump's envoy to Syria and US Ambassador to Ankara, Tom Barak, announced that he discussed the situation in Syria and the region in a meeting with Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu in Jerusalem on Wednesday.

Barak said on the X platform that the US president believes that Syria should not be a platform for any other country to threaten Syria's neighbors, including Israel.

The Jerusalem Post had previously reported that Trump's envoy would meet with a number of senior Israeli officials.

The Israeli newspaper quoted an unnamed informed source as saying that Barak's talks will focus on the situation in Syria and the current tensions between Israel and Turkey.

The Israeli occupation army announced on Tuesday that it had shelled an area in southern Syria with artillery following the launching of shells from Syrian territory towards the Golan Heights.

Shas meets amid disagreements within Netanyahu's government that could lead to the dissolution of the Knesset

Israel's religious Shas party is meeting on Wednesday amid disagreements within Benjamin Netanyahu's government that could lead to the dissolution of the Knesset and early elections.

In contrast, in the evening, Netanyahu will attempt to contain the dispute with the religious United Torah Judaism alliance, which is threatening to withdraw from the government and vote to dissolve the Knesset.

The opposition, represented by the Yesh Atid, Yisrael Beiteinu, and Democratic parties, announced its intention to submit a bill next week to dissolve the Knesset.

The United Torah Judaism coalition is pushing for passage of a bill exempting ultra-Orthodox Jews from military service, and at the very least, to halt punitive measures against those who refuse to serve until the bill is passed.

For his part, Netanyahu wants to pass the controversial bill, but he first needs to ensure its passage in the Knesset, given the opposition of some members of his own Likud party.

The opposition hopes that the disagreements within the government will lead to the passage of a bill to dissolve the Knesset, but the silence of the religious Shas party makes this possibility uncertain.

Yedioth Ahronoth reported on Wednesday that "Shas party leader Aryeh Deri summoned the party's ministers and Knesset members to an emergency meeting at the party's headquarters, in light of the coalition crisis."

Until Wednesday, Shas remained silent on the escalating crisis between Likud and the United Torah Judaism alliance, which is threatening to vote to dissolve the Knesset.

The ruling coalition has 68 seats in the 120-member Knesset, and needs 61 to remain in power.

The United Torah Judaism coalition consists of Degel HaTorah and Agudat Yisrael, two small Haredi political parties.

United Torah Judaism has 7 seats, meaning it cannot dissolve the Knesset, while Shas has 11 seats, meaning it can do so.

Netanyahu, whose corruption trial has entered a critical phase, is trying to preserve the survival of his government, which has been committing genocide against Palestinians in the Gaza Strip for the twentieth month.

Yedioth Ahronoth reported that Netanyahu is expected to meet with Knesset Foreign Affairs and Defense Committee Chairman Yuli Edelstein on Wednesday evening, after the chief rabbis ordered the religious parties to withdraw from the government.

She added that Likud accuses senior MK Edelstein of obstructing efforts to pass a law exempting ultra-Orthodox men from military service, pushing the coalition toward collapse.

Edelstein is overseeing the controversial draft law and has resisted pressure from Likud to soften his stance. Party officials say his refusal to compromise threatens the coalition's stability at a sensitive security moment, the newspaper reported.

Officials from the United Torah Judaism alliance described their meeting with Edelstein on Tuesday evening as tense.

The official Israeli Broadcasting Authority said, "The gaps between the two sides regarding the draft exemption law remain wide, and the threat of dissolving the government is closer than ever."

She continued: "The struggle over the conscription law today appears to be a litmus test for the Netanyahu government's survival, and the decisions of the Haredi rabbis may shape the next political phase."

However, Yedioth Ahronoth reported that despite the Haredi threat to dissolve the Knesset, sources close to Netanyahu insist that the Knesset will not be dissolved, despite growing fears of early elections.

This crisis is escalating as Israel has been waging a genocidal war in Gaza since October 7, 2023, including killing, starvation, destruction, and forced displacement, ignoring all international calls and orders from the International Court of Justice to halt the offensive.

Trump tries to ease tensions with his Chinese counterpart

US President Donald Trump has affirmed that he "admires" his Chinese counterpart Xi Jinping, but admitted that a deal with him is "very difficult," amid the ongoing war of words between Washington and Beijing over key issues. Secretary of State Marco Rubio's latest assertion that the world "will never forget" the Chinese authorities' suppression of the Tiananmen Square protests in 1989.

"Too harsh"

Amid the ongoing back-and-forth between Washington and Beijing on numerous issues, particularly the trade war, President Trump wrote in a brief post on his social media platform, Truth Social: “I like President Xi of China, always have, and always will, but he is very tough and hard to make a deal with!”

This statement appeared to be an attempt by the US president to calm the situation before an upcoming phone call with his Chinese counterpart, despite Rubio's remarks on the 36th anniversary of the suppression of protests in Beijing's Tiananmen Square, where soldiers opened fire on demonstrators on June 4, 1989, killing hundreds, or more than a thousand people according to some Western estimates.

Rubio said in his statement that on that date, "tens of thousands of students gathered in Beijing's largest public square to mourn the passing of a Chinese Communist Party leader who sought to guide China toward a more open and democratic system." He added, "Their actions inspired a national movement. Hundreds of thousands of ordinary citizens in the capital and across China took to the streets for weeks to exercise their freedom of expression and peaceful assembly by calling for democracy, human rights, and an end to rampant corruption."

He added, "The Chinese Communist Party responded with a brutal crackdown, sending in the People's Liberation Army to open fire in an attempt to quell the pro-democracy sentiment of unarmed civilians who had gathered in the streets of Beijing and Tiananmen Square."

He believed that despite the Chinese Communist Party's efforts to "obscure the facts," "the world will never forget" what happened. He commended "the courage of the Chinese people who were killed while trying to exercise their fundamental freedoms, as well as those who continue to suffer persecution as they seek accountability and justice" in those events, considering that their courage demonstrates that "the principles of freedom, democracy, and self-government are not just American, but human principles that the Chinese Communist Party cannot obliterate."

Chinese protest

Chinese Foreign Ministry spokesperson Lin Jian responded on Wednesday, saying, "The US side's false statements maliciously distort historical facts, deliberately attack China's political system and development path, and seriously interfere in China's internal affairs." He expressed China's "strong dissatisfaction with this matter." He added, "We have lodged solemn representations with the US side."

Rubio's statement followed the general lines of his predecessors at the State Department, most recently Democratic Secretary Antony Blinken, who last year called on Beijing to accept the recommendations of a UN-backed human rights review and respect the freedoms enshrined in the post-World War II Universal Declaration of Human Rights. Rubio did not mention the United Nations, which has been repeatedly criticized by the Trump administration.

4 dead after Israeli drones targeted civilians in Jabalia and Khan Yunis.

Four civilians, including a child, were killed and others injured when Israeli drones targeted civilians in Jabalia camp, north of the Gaza Strip, and Khan Yunis city, south of the city.

According to local sources, two civilians were killed and others injured when drones targeted a group of civilians in Jabalia camp, north of the Gaza Strip. The two were transferred to Al-Shifa Medical Complex.

A child and a young man were also killed, and a number of citizens were injured when Israeli warplanes targeted a group of citizens in the Japanese neighborhood west of Khan Yunis. They were all transferred to the Kuwait Specialized Field Hospital "Shifa Palestine."

Citing medical sources, it reported that 41 citizens were killed in separate Israeli raids targeting several areas in the Gaza Strip since dawn today.

The same sources reported that laboratories and blood banks in the remaining hospitals are operating at only 40% capacity, under heavy pressure from lab tests, and without any regular maintenance systems, as spare parts are unavailable.

She stated that 60% of the equipment was destroyed, as the Israeli occupation deliberately damaged it. Meanwhile, hospital laboratories urgently need to reinforce their equipment to meet the departments' need to conduct tests for patients and the wounded.

Israeli naval forces kidnapped a fisherman in Lebanese territorial waters in the Mediterranean Sea on Wednesday and took him into Israel.

The Lebanese National News Agency reported that "Israeli boats violated Lebanese territorial waters, bypassing the buoys (floating objects that mark the boundaries of the water), and surrounded a fishing boat with two people on board."

She added, "The Israeli forces kidnapped one of the fishermen, named A. F., and took him into the occupied Palestinian territories, while keeping the other one in the area."

The agency noted that the second fisherman was investigated by Lebanese military intelligence before being released, while the fate of the first fisherman remains unknown.

As of 14:06 (GMT), Tel Aviv has not issued any comment regarding the kidnapping incident.

On October 8, 2023, the Israeli occupation launched an aggression against Lebanon, which escalated into a full-scale war on September 23, 2024, resulting in more than 4,000 martyrs and approximately 17,000 wounded, in addition to the displacement of approximately 1.4 million people.

Since the ceasefire agreement came into effect on November 27, 2024, Israel has committed thousands of violations, resulting in at least 208 deaths and 501 injuries, according to an Anadolu Agency tally based on official data.

In defiance of the ceasefire, the Israeli army partially withdrew from southern Lebanon, while continuing to occupy five hills it captured in the last war.

US-backed Gaza relief agency appoints 'Christian Zionist' leader as new director

Rev. Johnnie Moore, a self-described “American evangelical Christian and hardline Zionist,” has been appointed the new executive director of the US- and Israeli-backed Gaza Humanitarian Foundation (GHF).

Humanitarian organizations have widely condemned the aid program provided by the organization, whose origins and funding are unknown, in Gaza, describing it as insufficient to feed Gaza's needy population. Aid distribution points have become death traps, with many Palestinians seeking food being killed by Israeli forces while en route to relief sites.

Due to the controversy surrounding the aid program, the foundation's former executive director, Jake Wood, resigned before the foundation began its work in Gaza. Wood stated, "It is clear that this plan cannot be implemented while strictly adhering to the humanitarian principles of humanity, neutrality, impartiality, and independence, which I will not abandon."

Moore defended the Gaza Humanitarian Foundation in a series of posts on X.com, supporting Israel's claim that it was not responsible for Sunday's massacre of 31 aid seekers near a distribution point in Rafah, despite evidence to the contrary. He also expressed support for US President Donald Trump's proposal for US control of Gaza, which would involve the ethnic cleansing of Palestinian civilians, a plan the Israeli government says it intends to implement.

"President Trump always looks at war through the lens of its human cost and thinks creatively—never constrained by conventional wisdom. He stops wars and makes peace," Moore said in a post on X, which included a video of Trump discussing his Gaza plan.

"The United States will bear full responsibility for Gaza's future, giving everyone hope and a future," Moore added.

Moore has served as an advisor to Trump, serving as a key conduit between Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu and American evangelicals who support the displacement of the people of Gaza and the annexation of the occupied West Bank to Israel. He is considered a close friend of the US ambassador to Israel, Mike Huckabee, who repeats the Israeli narrative in every detail, as he did on Monday, when he stated that no Palestinians were killed or injured at the aid distribution center by the Israeli military or American contractors on Sunday, June 1, and accused prominent US media outlets of colluding with Hamas in spreading malicious rumors about the killing of Palestinian civilians.

Moore also condemned the International Criminal Court's decision to issue an arrest warrant for Netanyahu on charges of war crimes in Gaza, describing it as a corrupt act by "anti-Semites." He also described Munther Isaac, a prominent Palestinian evangelical pastor living in Bethlehem, as the "high priest of anti-Semitic Christianity." His remarks came in response to Isaac's appearance on Tucker Carlson's show.

The death of detainee Mohammed Abu Habl from Gaza in the occupation's prisons.

The Commission of Prisoners' Affairs and the Palestinian Prisoners' Club reported the martyrdom of elderly prisoner Muhammad Ibrahim Hussein Abu Habl (70 years old) from Gaza on January 10, 2025.

The Commission and the Prisoners' Club indicated in a statement issued Wednesday that the case of the martyr Abu Habl adds to the record of the Israeli system of brutality, which operates around the clock through a series of organized crimes to kill prisoners and detainees. These crimes constitute another aspect of the ongoing genocide and an extension of it.

The Commission and the Club added that the case of the Gaza detainees remains the most prominent, reflecting an unprecedented level of crimes and atrocities committed against them, most notably torture, starvation, medical crimes, and sexual assaults. Over the past months, the testimonies and statements of detainees from Gaza have been the harshest and most severe in terms of the level of detail of the complex crimes committed against them, in real time.

The Commission and the Club noted that the detainee, Abu Habl, is married and has 11 children. He was arrested on 11/12/2024, in front of the checkpoint known as the (Civil Administration) checkpoint.

The Commission and the Club added that with the martyrdom of the prisoner Abu Habl, the number of martyred prisoners and detainees who have been killed after the genocide rises to at least (71) martyrs, including (45) detainees from Gaza, whose identities are known only, while the number of martyrs of the prisoner movement since 1967 documented by the institutions rises to (308) whose identities are also known, so that this stage constitutes the bloodiest in the history of the prisoner movement, and the most severe in terms of detention conditions.

The Commission and the Club explained that the responses received by the institutions from the occupation army remain limited to the army's narrative, in light of the continued detention of the martyrs' bodies and the failure to disclose the circumstances of their martyrdom. It is worth noting that the army has repeatedly attempted to manipulate these responses by giving the institutions different answers, and some institutions have even gone to court to obtain a response that would resolve the fate of the detainee. It was emphasized that torture crimes constituted the primary reason for the martyrdom of the vast majority of the martyrs after the genocide, in addition to the escalating medical crimes, the crime of starvation, and the crimes of rape.

They stressed that the rate of increasing numbers of martyrs among prisoners and detainees is taking a more dangerous turn with the passage of more time on the detention of thousands of prisoners and detainees in the occupation’s prisons, and their continued exposure on an instant basis to systematic crimes, most notably torture, starvation, assaults of all kinds, medical crimes, sexual assaults, and the deliberate imposition of conditions that lead to their infection with serious and contagious diseases, most notably scabies, in addition to the policies of deprivation and deprivation - unprecedented in their level.

The institutions held the occupation fully responsible for the martyrdom of the elderly detainee Abu Habl. They also renewed their demand for the international human rights system to open an impartial international investigation into the martyrdom of dozens of prisoners and detainees since the beginning of the genocide, and to move forward with taking effective decisions to hold the occupation leaders accountable for the war crimes they continue to commit against our people, and to impose sanctions on the occupation that would place it in a state of clear international isolation, and restore the human rights system to its fundamental role for which it was created, and put an end to the terrifying state of impotence that it has been afflicted with during the war of genocide, and to end the state of exceptional immunity that the world has granted to the occupying state as if it is above accountability, accountability, and punishment.

It is noteworthy that the total number of prisoners and detainees in the occupation prisons, until the beginning of June 2025, amounted to more than (10,400) prisoners, and they are only those detained in the prisons affiliated with the occupation prison administration. This data does not include the detainees detained in the camps affiliated with the occupation army. Among the number of prisoners are (49) female prisoners, more than (440) children, (3,562) administrative detainees, and (2,214) detainees from Gaza, whom the occupation prison administration classifies as (illegal combatants).

144 Gazan detainees have disappeared from Israeli prisons without explanation.

Israeli authorities informed human rights organizations that they are holding 2,790 detainees from the Gaza Strip. However, it turned out that 144 other detainees do not appear in Israeli data and their fate is unknown. The authorities have not explained their omission, according to a statement issued by the Committee Against Torture on Wednesday.

According to a statement from the Israeli authorities, 660 of the 2,790 detainees from the Gaza Strip were being held in Israeli military detention centers as of May 31.

The Israeli authorities responded by stating that the Anatot military detention center, notorious for its harsh detention conditions and torture of detainees, had been closed, and that the detention facility at the Amiad base, which was designated for holding Hezbollah fighters, had also been closed.

According to Israeli authorities, since the end of last year, 1,244 Gazan detainees have been released, most of them as part of the prisoner exchange in January, but 455 Gazans have been arrested. The Committee Against Torture noted that despite the decrease in the number of detainees, Israeli authorities still refuse to repeal the Unlawful Combatants Law.

"We call on the authorities to provide full explanations regarding the fate of the 144 detainees not mentioned in the data, and to immediately amend legislation that violates the fundamental rights of detainees," said Tal Steiner, director general of the Committee Against Torture.

She added, "The disturbing reports of torture in detention facilities and harsh living conditions, which have even led to the deaths of many detainees, demand an immediate investigation and a radical change in the care of detainees. The Unlawful Combatants Act allows for serious violations of rights and is inconsistent with democratic values and international law."

In February 2024, approximately four months after the war on Gaza, human rights organizations – the Committee Against Torture, Physicians for Human Rights, Gisha, Adalah, and the Center for the Protection of the Individual – petitioned to demand the repeal of the amendments passed by the Knesset under the "Unlawful Combatants" Imprisonment Law, which allow for the extension of temporary detention and the continued denial of detainees' access to lawyers. This petition was filed due to the severe violation of the rights to liberty, life, bodily integrity, and a fair judicial process, in a manner inconsistent with democratic values, without a proper purpose, and disproportionate to the rights of detainees.

The Israeli Ministry of Finance warns that the reserve budget for the war will soon run out.

Representatives from the Israeli Finance Ministry warned a meeting of the Knesset Finance Committee that the budget allocated for expanding the war on Gaza last March with a military operation dubbed "Operation Gideon" "will run out within weeks, and we must begin searching for solutions," according to the newspaper Israel Hayom on Wednesday.

The Ministry of Finance has allocated 10 billion shekels in the current year's state budget as a reserve budget to finance unexpected developments in the war.

The newspaper noted that, to date, NIS 4 billion has been deducted from this amount for the Israeli military, NIS 1.8 billion for the Ministry of National Security following Ben-Gvir's threats, and NIS 1.2 billion for extending the evacuation of residents of towns in the south and north of the country. This leaves NIS 3 billion to fund unforeseen developments in the war.

The Israeli government did not allocate a budget for Operation Gideon when it approved it, according to the newspaper. However, the Israeli military called up a large number of reserve soldiers, in addition to spending on ammunition purchases, which are expected to be financed from the reserve budget.

The newspaper quoted a source in the Ministry of Finance as saying, "We have financial resources left for several more weeks of fighting in its current form. If an agreement to free the kidnapped and a ceasefire is signed, we can hold out. But that has to happen now. If the government decides to continue the military operation, and especially if it decides to deepen it, we don't have enough money. The reserve budget will actually run out in just a few weeks, and then something has to be done."

The source added, "It seems we will have to reduce the coalition's funds. I don't see any other option unless the government has a different idea about the sources of funding for the deepening and continuation of the military operation. But we must realize that any sources other than coalition funds will directly harm services for citizens."

The source reported that the average cost per day for a reserve soldier is NIS 1,600, and that another problem is that the Ministry of Defense and the army have exceeded their allocated budget since the beginning of this year.

He added, "The Ministry of Defense and the Army committed to implementing consolidation steps (reducing spending), but unfortunately, they began with fraudulent steps such as delaying financial payments to entities that supply the Army's needs."

Another source told the newspaper that in this case, "Instead of Elbit Systems (which supplies the army with advanced electronics and weapons) receiving the money now, it will receive it next year from the next year's budget. And where will the money come from next year? Don't be surprised if it comes from a tax increase."

The newspaper quoted a senior economic source as saying that the continuation of the war, especially if it escalates further, will require a search for solutions. He added that there will be no solution in next year's budget, especially since the amount of debt repayments will rise next year to 80 billion shekels annually.

The occupation forces seize 41 dunums of land in the Ramallah Governorate.

The Wall and Settlement Resistance Commission reported that the occupation authorities seized 41 dunams of Palestinian land in the Ramallah Governorate at the beginning of this month, using military orders called "seizure orders," to impose new facts on the grounds of security and military purposes.

The Authority explained in a statement that the first order, numbered (T/59/25), targeted an area of 23,834 dunams of land from the villages of Shibtin, Deir Ammar, and Deir Qadis, west of Ramallah, under the pretext of seizing it for military purposes. The order aims to seize the aforementioned area, with the aim of creating a buffer zone around the "Na'ale settlement," built on the lands of the aforementioned villages.

She pointed out that the areas declared for seizure overlap between new areas for the benefit of the military order, while the order stipulates the allocation of areas for seizure under the name "state lands" for the benefit of the military order, which amount to 16,834 dunams of citizens' land.

She added: The second order, numbered (T/17/23), targets an area of 12,221 dunums of land in the villages of Deir Ghassaneh and Al-Lubban, northwest of Ramallah, under the pretext of seizing land for military purposes. The order aims to amend a military order issued in 2023 by canceling control over an area of 4,792 dunums and adding a new area to the military order, amounting to 5,888 dunums, for seizure.

The order allocates 6,333 dunams of land originally declared state land to complete the scope of the military order, which currently amounts to 12,221 dunams, with the aim of establishing a buffer zone around the Beit Aryeh settlement, which is built on the lands of citizens of the two aforementioned villages.

The third order, numbered T/38/25, targeted a total of 4,659 dunums of land from the villages of Shibtin and Deir Qadis, west of Ramallah Governorate, with the aim of establishing a military road connecting the settlements of Na'ale and Nili, which are built on the lands of citizens in the two villages. An analysis of the areas targeted in the military order file indicates that the occupying state allocated an area of one dunum declared as state land for the benefit of the military order, while 3,654 dunums were added to the aforementioned order.

According to data from the Wall and Settlement Resistance Commission, since the beginning of 2025, the occupation authorities have issued a total of 19 military orders to seize Palestinian lands, six of which led to the establishment of buffer zones around settlements, including: two around the settlements of "Nekodim and Efrat" in the Gush Etzion settlement bloc, specifically on the lands of the Bethlehem Governorate, another around the "Avitar" outpost in the Nablus Governorate, another around the Havat Gilad outpost on the lands of the Qalqilya Governorate, and the last around the settlements of "Na'aleh" and "Beit Aryeh" in the Ramallah Governorate.

The occupying state has recently intensified its issuance of these types of orders, in an attempt to impose new realities on Palestinian lands, including the construction of military towers and roads designated for the army and settlers, in addition to the buffer zones around settlements. These military orders are deployed in the service of the settlers and settlements, at the expense of citizens' lands and their ability to lead normal lives.

Khamenei to Washington: Who are you to decide whether we have the right to have a nuclear program?

Iran's Supreme Leader, Ali Khamenei, confirmed on Wednesday that his country has reached the stage of fully possessing nuclear fuel thanks to the efforts of Iranian talent. He noted that Iran is now capable of producing this fuel, something only a limited number of countries have been able to achieve.

In a series of statements, Khamenei said that Iran's nuclear program is not limited to energy production alone, but that nuclear technology serves multiple sectors. He emphasized that the enrichment process is essential and indispensable, adding, "The nuclear program is worthless without uranium enrichment."

In a message to Washington, Khamenei said that the United States seeks to dismantle Iran's nuclear program and "wants us to continue to need it in various fields." He emphasized that the United States will not be able to weaken Iran's nuclear program, and asked, "Who are you to tell us whether we should have a nuclear program or not?"

He added that Washington and the Zionist entity cannot do anything to end Iran's nuclear program, stressing that Iran is continuing to strengthen its comprehensive national power and will not abandon uranium enrichment.

In contrast, White House spokeswoman Caroline Leavitt stated on Tuesday that US President Donald Trump's position on Iran is clear, and that "uranium enrichment" is not included in the nuclear agreement proposal Washington presented to Tehran.

Trump said in a post on Truth Social that his administration would not allow Iran to enrich uranium as part of a potential nuclear agreement with Tehran.

Trump asserted that Iran's uranium enrichment program "should have been stopped long ago."

On the other hand, the American website Axios reported that Tehran "will be allowed to enrich uranium at low levels for a specified period of time."

The issue of uranium enrichment is a major point of contention between Iran and the United States, as nuclear negotiations between the two countries continue.

Iran is demanding the lifting of sanctions in exchange for restrictions on its nuclear program to prevent it from developing a nuclear bomb.

The US side is demanding that Iran halt uranium enrichment at all levels, despite previously stating that it would accept a low enrichment level.

Oman is mediating negotiations between the United States and Iran to resolve key disagreements. Five rounds have been held, three of which were in Muscat, with a sixth round anticipated.

Jerusalem Governorate: Two dead, 41 arrests, and 42 demolitions and bulldozing operations last month.

During May 2025, the Jerusalem Governorate observed a serious escalation in Israeli violations against Jerusalemites. These violations focused on arrests and de facto detention orders, in addition to demolitions, evictions, forced deportations, and house arrests.

The blessed Al-Aqsa Mosque also witnessed intensive daily raids, particularly on the anniversary of the so-called "Jerusalem Unification Day," as the occupation forces intensified their arbitrary measures against Jerusalemites and prevented many citizens from entering the mosque.

Dead:

The boy, Muhammad Nidal Abu Labdeh (17 years old), was martyred on the threshold of the blessed Al-Aqsa Mosque, and his body was detained.

Fouad Muhammad Alian (30 years old) from the village of Beit Safafa in the Katamon area west of occupied Jerusalem was also killed after settlers attacked him and his cousin while they were in a public park.

File of detained bodies:

The occupation forces have detained the body of the martyred young man, Muhammad Nidal Abu Libdeh, adding him to the list of Jerusalemite martyrs whose bodies are being held by the occupation authorities.

With this new detention, the number of Jerusalemite bodies held in Israeli refrigerators and numbered cemeteries until the end of March 2025 has risen to 47, a continuation of the punitive policy pursued by the occupation authorities against the families of martyrs.

Colonists' attacks:

Settlers carried out 46 attacks against Palestinian citizens, their property, and holy sites, amid a marked escalation in the pace of attacks, all of which occurred under the protection of Israeli occupation forces.

The attacks included seven instances of direct physical harm, one of which resulted in the martyrdom of young Fuad Muhammad Alian, reflecting the seriousness of the security and humanitarian situation in the city.

These attacks are part of a systematic policy aimed at oppressing the Palestinian population and forcibly changing the demographic makeup of the Holy City, amid warnings of an escalation in violence against the population.

Injuries:

About (17) injuries were recorded as a result of shooting and severe beatings, in addition to cases of suffocation from gas, including (6) injuries as a result of the settlers’ attacks.

Crimes and violations in the blessed Al-Aqsa Mosque:

During May 2025, the blessed Al-Aqsa Mosque witnessed an unprecedented Israeli escalation, in flagrant violation of the historical and legal status quo and a blatant violation of international law and UNESCO resolutions affirming that Al-Aqsa Mosque is a purely Islamic place of worship.

6,767 settlers stormed Al-Aqsa Mosque under the protection of the occupation forces, in addition to (5,611) others under the guise of "tourism". The settlers carried out provocative tours and performed Talmudic rituals in various areas of Al-Aqsa Mosque, in a direct violation of the sanctity of the holy place.

During the so-called “Jerusalem Unification Day” of 2025, which fell on May 26, the blessed Al-Aqsa Mosque witnessed a dangerous escalation in the pace of violations and incursions, with a significant increase compared to previous years, as (2,118) settlers stormed the mosque, including the extremist Minister of National Security Itamar Ben-Gvir, the Minister of the Negev and Galilee Yitzhak Wasserlauf, and members of the Knesset from the “Likud”, “Jewish Power” and “Religious Zionism” parties.

The raids focused on Talmudic rituals performed in the Al-Aqsa compound, amid heavy protection from occupation forces, who prevented Palestinian worshippers from reaching the mosque and imposed restrictions on freedom of worship.

Arrest cases:

41 Jerusalemites were arrested, including 6 children and 4 women.

Occupation court decisions against detainees:

Israeli occupation courts impose unfair decisions on detainees, ranging from actual prison sentences to house arrest, deportation orders, and hefty fines. Some detainees have been issued travel bans by the occupation courts, and the detention of a large number of detainees has been extended for months, and even years, without clear charges being brought against them.

Actual imprisonment:

The Jerusalem Governorate recorded that Israeli courts issued 26 prison sentences against Jerusalemite prisoners during May 2025, including 19 administrative detention sentences, meaning the detainees were not charged. These sentences reflect the occupation's escalating policy of targeting detainees, which contributes to exacerbating their suffering.

House arrest:

In May 2025, the Jerusalem Governorate recorded the occupation authorities issuing seven house arrest orders.

Deportation decisions:

During May 2025, the occupation authorities issued five deportation orders, four of which included bans from the blessed Al-Aqsa Mosque.

Demolitions, bulldozing and property confiscation:

The occupation authorities continued their systematic policy of demolition and bulldozing during the month of May, carrying out 42 demolition and bulldozing operations targeting homes, facilities, barns, agricultural rooms, and other areas in the Jerusalem Governorate.

These operations included (15) cases of forced self-demolition, during which Jerusalemites were forced to demolish their homes with their own hands to avoid heavy fines, in addition to (22) demolition operations carried out by force by the occupation’s machinery, and (5) bulldozing operations targeting the lands and properties of Jerusalemites.

The occupation authorities have used flimsy pretexts, most notably "unlicensed construction," while imposing strict restrictions that make it nearly impossible for Jerusalemites to obtain building permits, leaving them facing the constant threat of forced demolition.

Demolition, forced eviction and land seizure decisions:

Demolition orders are part of the Israeli occupation's policy of displacing Palestinians from their lands in occupied Jerusalem.

The occupation authorities issue these decisions under the pretext of unlicensed construction or building violations, even though Palestinians are often denied building permits as a result of the restrictions imposed on them.

These decisions include notices demanding that residents demolish their homes within a short period of time, or the occupation bulldozers will carry out the demolition and impose heavy fines.

The occupation forces delivered 17 demolition orders in the governorate, in addition to one seizure order.

One of the most significant decisions was to deliver a demolition notice to the residents of the Al-Waad building in Wadi Qaddum, Silwan. The building comprises 12 apartments and is home to approximately 85 Jerusalemites.

Crimes and violations against Jerusalem institutions and landmarks:

During May 2025, the Jerusalem Governorate observed a clear escalation in crimes and violations committed by the occupation forces and settlers against educational and religious institutions and media outlets in occupied Jerusalem. This is part of a systematic policy aimed at suppressing Palestinian life and threatening the national and cultural presence in the city. These violations included raids on Al-Aqsa Mosque, the persecution of students, and operations of suppression, arrest, detention and interrogation, in addition to targeting press crews. This reflects a systematic targeting of Palestinian national institutions and an attempt to impose complete security and cultural control over the city.

Colonial projects:

Through daily monitoring of official announcements issued by the Civil Administration and the Israeli municipality in Jerusalem, in addition to what was reported by the Arab Studies Society - Orient House, the Jerusalem Governorate monitored 19 colonial plans during the month of May 2025, distributed as follows: 8 plans were deposited, 4 plans were approved, and one plan was put out for tender for implementation. In addition, the implementation of 5 colonial projects began, and one colonial project was opened.

Approved plans:

Plan No. 101/0921197 in the Ramot settlement: Construction of public buildings and institutions on an area of 18,998 dunams.

Plan No. 101/1011840 in the Talpiot settlement: Construction of towers containing 458 residential units, commercial areas, and public buildings on an area of 9,586 dunams.

Plan No. 242/2 in the "Kochav Ya'akov" settlement, built on the lands of the village of Kafr Aqab: construction of 627 settlement units, commercial areas, public buildings and institutions, and parks on an area of 253.91 dunams. The plan was announced for deposit on June 21, 2024.

On May 28, 2025, Yedioth Ahronoth revealed that the security cabinet had secretly approved the establishment of 22 new settlements in the West Bank, including the Atarot Ader settlement in occupied Jerusalem, two weeks earlier.

The Security Council will vote today on a resolution to cease fire in Gaza and allow the entry of aid.

The UN Security Council is scheduled to vote on Wednesday on a draft resolution calling for an immediate ceasefire and the lifting of restrictions on the entry of aid into the Gaza Strip.

The draft resolution was drafted by the ten non-permanent members of the Security Council, who hold seats for two years.

The draft resolution describes the humanitarian situation in Gaza as "catastrophic" and also calls for "the immediate and unconditional lifting of all restrictions on the entry of humanitarian aid into Gaza, and ensuring its safe, unrestricted, and widespread distribution, including to the United Nations and its humanitarian partners."

The draft resolution also calls for the restoration of all essential humanitarian services, in line with these principles, international humanitarian law, and Security Council resolutions.

Palestine's Permanent Representative to the United Nations, Riyad Mansour, said that the Arab Group at the United Nations will not accept that the Security Council and UN organizations remain "paralyzed."

In a press conference held at the United Nations headquarters in New York last night, Mansour stressed that the Security Council bears the responsibility of halting the Israeli aggression on the Gaza Strip, exposing the perpetrators of crimes against the Palestinians, and calling for their accountability.

Mansour added, "Israel does not have the right to decide the future of the peoples of the Middle East, especially the Palestinian people. We, the people, will decide our future, with the support and backing of the vast majority of countries."

Since October 7, 2023, Israel has been committing genocide in the Gaza Strip, killing more than 54,510 people, the majority of whom are children and women, and wounding 124,901 others. More than 11,000 remain missing, along with hundreds of thousands displaced.

United Torah Judaism intends to support a law to dissolve the Knesset over the refusal to draft ultra-Orthodox men.

Senior sources in the United Torah Judaism bloc described yesterday's meeting with Knesset Foreign Affairs and Defense Committee Chairman Yuli Edelstein regarding the conscription law as a "disastrous failure," adding that the bloc's chairman, MK Moshe Gafni, received instructions from the spiritual leader of the Degel HaTorah party, Rabbi Dov Landau, to support the law to dissolve the Knesset.

Israeli media reported that following the failure to reach an agreement with Edelstein last night regarding the exemption of ultra-Orthodox citizens from military service, the religious leadership of United Torah Judaism instructed Gafni to withdraw from the coalition and dissolve the government.

The United Torah Judaism bloc consists of the two Haredi parties, Degel HaTorah and Agudat Yisrael. The newspaper Yeded Ne'eman, the mouthpiece of Degel HaTorah, reported today that "these days are testing Prime Minister Netanyahu's leadership and whether he will fulfill his pledges and promises regarding the settlement of the status of Torah students," referring to students at Haredi Torah seminaries.

Sources close to the spiritual leader of the Degel HaTorah party, Rabbi Moshe Hillel Hirsch, said that after Hirsch learned of the results of his meeting with Edelstein, which revealed no progress on the conscription issue, he is expected to order Hirsch to withdraw from the coalition in the near future.

Meanwhile, the opposition parties Yesh Atid, Yisrael Beiteinu, and Labor announced that they will submit a bill to dissolve the Knesset next Wednesday.

The main disagreement concerns the penalties that will be imposed on Haredim who refuse to serve, and the extent of these penalties. According to the draft law being drafted by the Foreign Affairs and Defense Committee, such penalties would be personal to those who refuse to serve, as well as penalties for yeshivot (Torah institutes) that fail to meet the required number of students to be drafted.

The Foreign Affairs and Defense Committee is demanding strict sanctions that are fully and immediately implemented, while the Haredim are demanding that the law stipulate that the sanctions be gradual. The prevailing belief within the committee is that it will be impossible to explain to the public why the yeshivot continue to be funded from the state treasury, and that gradual sanctions will not be approved by the Supreme Court, following petitions filed against a law that includes such sanctions.

A child was injured. The occupation forces launched an arrest campaign in the West Bank.

Israeli occupation forces carried out an arrest campaign on Wednesday during their ongoing raid on the town of Tammun and the Far'a refugee camp, south of Tubas.

The director of the Prisoners Club in Tubas, Kamal Bani Odeh, reported that occupation forces are still raiding several homes in the town of Tamoun, and have so far arrested approximately 10 citizens, most of whom are former prisoners, including a woman. Two young men from the Far'a refugee camp have also been arrested.

He added that the occupation forces had turned a house near the entrance to the town of Tamoun into a field investigation center, and had also forced a number of citizens to leave their homes in the town and convert them into military barracks.

Since midnight tonight, Israeli occupation forces have continued their raids on the town of Tammun and the Far'a refugee camp, where occupation patrols and infantry forces are deployed and are raiding citizens' homes. Israeli bulldozers have also destroyed streets and infrastructure in areas of the Far'a refugee camp and the town of Tammun.

In Jericho, the Palestinian Red Crescent Society reported in a press release that its crews responded to a child injured in the foot by live ammunition during the raid on the Arab neighborhood of Jericho. He was later transferred to the hospital.

In Jenin, occupation forces surrounded a house and arrested a young man after raiding it in Qabatiya.

The town of Qabatiya has witnessed repeated incursions by the Israeli occupation army since the start of its aggression on the city and refugee camp of Jenin on January 21, with the army launching raids and conducting ongoing arrests.

Armed humanity!

In disasters and wars, relief and aid operations are not subject to blackmail, bargaining, and the labyrinths and corridors of negotiations. The afflicted view aid centers as safe havens for them, but in the Gaza Strip, this is not the case. They have become traps for the hungry and a shooting range for snipers from the mercenary soldiers, who were brought in by the United States to manage what it called the “Gaza Humanitarian Foundation.” Visual evidence has shown that this institution is far from humanity and closer to being a brigade of killing and destruction, undertaking the mission of starvation and setting food traps to lure the hungry and blackmail them in their stomach pain to execute them before they can receive what will sustain them and their children.

The United States bears full responsibility for the daily killing of the hungry. It is the only country capable of neutralizing aid from bargaining chips by leaving the matter to experienced agencies like UNRWA, which reaches out to the hungry, rather than those who come to it on a dangerous, forced journey, exposed to the pack of wolves that lurk around them.

In response to the shooting of the hungry people yesterday, the Israeli army spokesman blamed the victims, claiming that they posed a threat to the forces equipped with the latest weapons. This justification is even more abhorrent than the deliberate killing of dozens of hungry people. How can hungry people, exhausted from the long walk and extreme thirst, in an area exposed to drones swarming over them like insects, pose a threat? If there are armed men among the hungry people, they are certainly collaborators with Hamas, and they have nothing to do with them, as the drones that monitored them yesterday did not engage with them. This confirms that the scene was prepared in advance to be marketed to the world in a manner contrary to the truth, and to justify the killing of more people crawling on their stomachs in centers run by those who lack the most basic human feelings, who oppose values and morals, and who violate international norms and laws.

Aid centers in Gaza closed, Israeli warnings of combat zones threatening displaced people

The US- and Israeli-backed Gaza Humanitarian Foundation announced Tuesday evening that its aid distribution centers in the Gaza Strip will close on Wednesday for "renovation and reorganization" aimed at improving operational efficiency.

The foundation confirmed in a post on its Facebook page that distribution operations will resume on Thursday.

The US Aid Fund announced, following an update from the Israeli military, that it will not distribute aid in the Gaza Strip today.

A spokesperson for the fund explained that distribution was temporarily halted due to talks with the Israeli military aimed at strengthening security measures around food distribution sites in the Gaza Strip.

The Israeli army's Arabic-language spokesman, Avichay Edraee, had previously announced that aid distribution centers would not open today due to "renovation, organization, and efficiency improvements," he claimed.

The Israeli military announced that these distribution centers would remain temporarily closed, warning in a post on the X platform that the roads leading to them would be "combat zones," and that movement on them would be prohibited on Wednesday.

This comes amid the ongoing partial Israeli blockade of Gaza, two months after a comprehensive siege that has deprived residents of essential humanitarian aid.

For years, the United Nations Relief and Works Agency for Palestine Refugees (UNRWA) was responsible for distributing aid in Gaza, but Israel accused the agency of providing cover for Hamas and alleged that some of its employees were involved in the October 2023 attack on Israel, leading to a major escalation in tensions.

In fact, humanitarian aid centers in Gaza, which are supposed to be safe havens for civilians, have become sites that threaten the lives of displaced people.

The Israeli military has repeatedly targeted civilians as they travel to these centers, resulting in hundreds of deaths and injuries among displaced people seeking aid and food.

These ongoing attacks have demonstrated how distribution centers have transformed from points of hope into death traps, exacerbating the suffering of the population amid already dire humanitarian conditions.

The United Nations and other international organizations refuse to work with the Gaza Humanitarian Foundation due to serious concerns about its transparency and impartiality, particularly given its apparent support from the United States and Israel, and suspicions about its connection to Israeli military targets.

All of this deepens the humanitarian crisis in the Strip and increases the suffering of civilians who patiently await the arrival of aid, for whom life itself is almost like a dream.

20 dead in the Gaza Strip since dawn today

Twenty civilians were killed in the Gaza Strip as a result of the ongoing Israeli airstrikes on the Strip since dawn today.

In Khan Yunis, 10 civilians, including children, were killed and others injured on Wednesday after an Israeli drone bombed a tent inside a school housing displaced people.

In the same context, Israeli tanks fired at civilian homes in the Qizan al-Najjar area, south of Khan Yunis, in the southern Gaza Strip. The Israeli occupation also bombed areas northeastern Gaza City.

Since October 7, 2023, the Israeli occupation forces have launched an aggression against the Gaza Strip, resulting in the deaths of 54,510 civilians, the majority of whom were children and women, and the injury of 124,901 others. An Israeli soldier was killed and two others were injured in a clash with Hamas in Shuja'iyya.

An Israeli soldier was killed and two others were injured on Tuesday during clashes between the resistance and the occupation army in the Shuja'iyya neighborhood east of Gaza City, a day after three Israeli soldiers were killed in Jabalia.

Israeli news websites reported that a Hamas drone threw a grenade at soldiers in Shuja'iyya, amid ongoing violent clashes.

It noted that military helicopters had landed at Ichilov Hospital in Tel Aviv and Soroka Hospital in Beersheba, after announcing earlier that helicopters were on their way to evacuate wounded soldiers from the Gaza Strip.

She pointed out that "the Air Force is providing air cover for the army" in the Shuja'iyya neighbourhood.

Al Jazeera's correspondent in Gaza, Mohammed Qreiqeh, reported that clashes broke out in the Shuja'iyya neighborhood, confirming that Israeli helicopters were flying over the area, while Israeli artillery shelling targeted the Shuja'iyya neighborhood and the eastern areas of Gaza City.

Al Jazeera's correspondent in Palestine, Elias Karam, said the Israeli army is imposing a severe media blackout on the new security incident, citing information indicating that a Palestinian drone threw a bomb at an Israeli military force.

Later, Israeli news websites confirmed that a Hamas drone had dropped a bomb on soldiers in Shuja'iyya, amid ongoing violent clashes.

According to Karam, 15 Israeli soldiers have been killed and 56 others injured since Israel resumed its war on the Gaza Strip on March 18.

These developments on the ground come just hours after the Israeli army announced the deaths of three soldiers during Monday's fighting in the northern Gaza Strip.

Regarding this incident, the Israeli Broadcasting Authority quoted an investigation into the killing of three soldiers in Jabalia, stating that "there are active tunnels in destroyed buildings that the army has deemed cleared."

The Al-Qassam Brigades, the military wing of Hamas, announced on Monday that its fighters had engaged in fierce clashes with Israeli occupation forces at point-blank range east of Jabalia camp, noting that Israeli soldiers had been killed and wounded.

Earlier this month, Israeli Chief of Staff Eyal Zamir said he had instructed his forces to expand the scope of the military operation to include additional areas in the northern and southern Gaza Strip.

According to official data, the number of Israeli army casualties since the start of the war on Gaza on October 7, 2023, has reached 861, including 416 since the start of the Israeli ground military operation at the end of the same month.

A phone call between an Israeli official and the Qatari Prime Minister to discuss a ceasefire in Gaza.

The Hebrew newspaper Yedioth Ahronoth revealed that Israeli Minister of Strategic Affairs Ron Dermer held a phone call with Qatari Prime Minister Mohammed bin Abdulrahman Al Thani, as part of the intensive efforts being made by international mediation to advance negotiations on a prisoner exchange deal between Israel and Hamas.

The newspaper explained that Dermer initiated the call in response to pressure from Mossad chief David Barnea (known as "Wittkov"), who is seeking to break the deadlock in the negotiations through direct contact with Qatar, which is playing a pivotal role in the mediation.

Yedioth Ahronoth confirmed that intensive talks are still ongoing, noting that Witkoff continues to pressure Hamas, with the support of mediators, to present a new response closer to the Israeli proposal and serve as a basis for moving to more in-depth negotiations in Doha.

These moves come amid ongoing international efforts to bring the parties together, amid ongoing escalation on the ground in the Gaza Strip and ongoing stumbling blocks in reaching a final agreement on the prisoner exchange deal.

In the same context, Channel 12 reported that Hamas is working on a new response to Witkoff's proposal, indicating that Hamas will change its demands at the request of the Qataris and Egyptians.
