Save the Children calls on the British government to stop selling arms to Israel.

Save the Children International has condemned the British government's continued arms sales to Israel and called on it to immediately suspend all arms shipments to the country.

The British organization stated in a statement on its X platform on Monday that Israeli attacks targeting Palestinians on Sunday as they waited for water resulted in the deaths of six children.

She explained that the British people will not remain silent regarding their government's continued arms transfers and collusion with Israel.

"The British government must immediately suspend all arms shipments to Israel, including F-35 fighter jet parts used to kill and maim children," she added.

On Sunday, Israel killed 120 Palestinians, including children, waiting for water, and injured 557 others, according to the Ministry of Health in the Gaza Strip, as part of the genocide it has been perpetrating for 21 months.

The government media office in the Gaza Strip said on Monday that Israel is waging a systematic war of deprivation, committing 112 massacres against water-filling queues, resulting in the deaths of more than 700 Palestinians, the majority of whom were children, since October 7, 2023.

Since last March, municipalities in the Gaza Strip have warned of a catastrophic water crisis due to the depletion of fuel needed to operate the few functioning wells and the deliberate destruction of water infrastructure.

Since October 7, 2023, Israel has been committing genocide in Gaza, including killing, starvation, destruction, and forced displacement, ignoring all international calls and orders from the International Court of Justice to halt it.

The genocide, with American support, left more than 196,000 Palestinians dead and wounded, most of them children and women, and more than 10,000 missing, in addition to hundreds of thousands of displaced persons and a famine that claimed the lives of many, including dozens of children.

Trump: Ceasefire talks between Israel and Hamas going "well"

US President Donald Trump said on Monday, "We are going well in Gaza," and that "we may have something to talk about soon."

It's worth noting that three weeks ago, Trump predicted that a ceasefire would take effect "next week," meaning the first week of July, which coincided with Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu's visit to the White House, without an agreement being reached so far.

Speaking to reporters in the Oval Office, Trump described Israel's unilateral withdrawal from Gaza in 2005 as "one of the worst real estate deals ever," something he has not said about Trump in the past.

"They gave up the oceanfront property... and it was supposed to bring peace... but it did the opposite," Trump said.

Trump said on Sunday that he hoped to reach a ceasefire agreement in Gaza soon between Israel and the Palestinian Hamas movement.

"Gaza — we're talking, and hopefully we'll get it sorted out over the next week," Trump told reporters at Joint Base Andrews, Maryland.

Trump had previously announced that Israel had accepted the terms of a 60-day ceasefire in Gaza, as proposed by Qatar and Egypt to Hamas.

Hamas responded positively, stating that it was ready to move forward with negotiations to implement the ceasefire agreement and prisoner exchange.

Although Israel claimed that Hamas's amendments to the Qatari proposal were unacceptable, its delegation traveled to Doha for talks.

The negotiations in Doha focused on a temporary 60-day ceasefire, the release of 10 living Israeli prisoners and 18 deceased, and discussions on a permanent truce. While many issues were reportedly resolved, the main sticking point remained Israel's insistence on maintaining control of a buffer zone around Gaza.

Even if a ceasefire is reached, Netanyahu insists he intends to maintain the Israeli military presence in Rafah and establish a "concentration camp" as part of his goal of deporting Palestinians to other countries.

Former Israeli Prime Minister Ehud Olmert described the "city" as a concentration camp, drawing parallels between the Jewish concentration camps in Nazi Germany.

US and Israeli officials expressed optimism last week about the prospects for an imminent agreement, but negotiations have remained stalled over the past four days regarding the scope of the Israeli military withdrawal from Gaza.

Netanyahu, who met twice last week at the White House with Trump and his officials, insisted that the war cannot end until Hamas loses its military or civilian capabilities, and until Gaza no longer poses a threat to Israel. Netanyahu pledged to achieve these goals and secure the return of all 50 hostages, 20 of whom are believed to be alive, still being held in the Strip.

According to experts, Netanyahu is making public statements that an agreement is possible and imminent in order to relieve pressure on him, but this appears to be merely a delaying tactic.

Experts point out that Netanyahu's priority throughout his political career has been to remain in power and to use all available means to achieve this goal. Since the beginning of the current war on Gaza, following the attack on October 7, 2023, Netanyahu has viewed the war as an unmissable opportunity to overcome domestic opposition and the administration of former President Joe Biden, which opposed his formation of a far-right government and boycotted him until the war began in November 2023. Perhaps what the New York Times (Friday, July 11, 2025) said in a lengthy article titled "How Netanyahu is prolonging the war to stay in power," in which the newspaper relied on documents and statements by Netanyahu and Israeli officials, is further evidence of Netanyahu's adherence to this goal.

It is also clear that the ceasefire negotiations in Gaza are facing a "stumbling block" as a result of Israel's insistence on presenting a withdrawal map that would keep about 40 percent of the Strip under its military control. This is what Netanyahu hinted at when he denounced on Sunday (July 13) the criticism related to the ceasefire negotiations and the release of detainees in the Gaza Strip. In response to reports that his government rejected the deal, Netanyahu criticized the news channels, claiming that the international media is repeating Hamas propaganda, and that he accepted the deal; the deal of (US envoy) Steve Witkoff, and it was rejected by Hamas, which indicates that Netanyahu does not agree with Trump or Witkoff regarding the proximity of an agreement.

Israeli sources reported that Netanyahu was preventing a breakthrough before the Knesset recess, which runs from July 27 to October 19, 2025, as it is difficult to dissolve parliament during that period. The extreme right-wing wing of his coalition strongly opposes ending the war while Hamas remains in control of Gaza and has threatened to withdraw over the issue, leaving Netanyahu vulnerable to losing power.

Gaza government: Israel is committing massacres and waging a "war of thirst" that has killed hundreds.

The government media office in the Gaza Strip accused Israel on Monday of waging a "systematic war of thirst" that has claimed the lives of hundreds, most of them children. It described these attacks as "a full-fledged war crime."

The office said that Tel Aviv has committed 112 massacres targeting water filling lines, resulting in the deaths of more than 700 Palestinians, since October 7, 2023.

The office explained in a statement that the occupation is using water as a collective weapon to exterminate the population and deprive them of their most basic rights, in flagrant violation of international and humanitarian laws. It noted that the most recent of these crimes occurred in the Nuseirat camp yesterday, Sunday, when 12 people, including eight children, were killed while waiting at a water filling station.

The statement noted that the Israeli army destroyed 112 sources of fresh water and put 720 wells out of service, depriving more than 1.25 million people of clean water. It also prevented the entry of 12 million liters of fuel per month, which is necessary to operate wells, sewage treatment plants, and waste collection vehicles, causing a near-total paralysis of water and sewage networks and exacerbating the spread of epidemics among children.

The office noted that Israel's cutting off of Mekorot's water supply since January 2025, and its shutdown of the electricity line supplying the Deir al-Balah Central Desalination Plant in March, have exacerbated the crisis and pushed the Gaza Strip toward a severe water crisis.

The office considered the "war of thirst" a full-fledged war crime under the Geneva Conventions and international humanitarian law, calling for urgent international action to halt this war, ensure access to water for the population, and pressure the entry of fuel and operating equipment.

It also called for an urgent international investigation into the crime of starvation, as it is part of the ongoing genocidal policies against civilians in Gaza, amidst the ongoing killing, starvation, destruction, and displacement, and Israel's continued disregard for all international appeals and orders from the International Court of Justice.

It pointed out that the US-backed aggression has claimed more than 196,000 lives and wounded, most of them children and women, with thousands missing, widespread famine, and hundreds of thousands displaced.

The occupation resumes advancing the E1 settlement plan to separate the West Bank and expand settlements.

The Israeli occupation authorities have decided to resume advancing the settlement plan in the E1 area east of Jerusalem, which would separate the northern West Bank from the south, for the first time since 2021, according to a report published by Haaretz newspaper on Monday.

The report stated that the so-called Supreme Planning Council of the Civil Administration—which is subordinate to the Israeli Ministry of Defense—will review objections submitted against the project on August 6, in a session that will conclude the formal objections phase.

A number of Palestinians living in the area, along with Peace Now, Ir Amim, and the Association for Environmental Justice, have filed formal objections to the plan. These groups argue that the project's implementation will harm the only remaining area of land located in the central Palestinian urban area between Ramallah, Jerusalem, and Bethlehem, which is home to approximately one million Palestinians.

She noted that the project has "potential implications for any future settlement," as it "creates a settlement continuum from the central West Bank to Jerusalem."

The plans in the E1 area include the construction of 3,412 new settlement units, distributed across two separate programs. These projects had been slowly advanced over the years due to international pressure, particularly from the United States, over concerns that they would undermine the prospects for establishing a future Palestinian state.

The E1 area covers an area of 12 square kilometers and is part of the municipal jurisdiction of the Ma'ale Adumim settlement, located to the north and west of it. Although the plans were proposed during the Rabin government, they have been frozen since 2005 for political reasons.

Last March, the Israeli cabinet approved the paving of a road designated for Palestinians south of the E1 area, with the aim of implementing construction plans and paving the way for the future annexation of the Ma'ale Adumim settlement.

The new road will connect Palestinian villages in the northern West Bank with those in the southern West Bank, diverting Palestinian traffic away from Route 1, allowing it to be used almost exclusively by settlers and Jews between Jerusalem and Ma'ale Adumim.

For its part, Peace Now filed an official objection to the bill, stating in a statement that "the Netanyahu-Smotrich government is exploiting the war on Gaza, the fragile domestic situation in Israel, and the confused international position to impose facts on the ground that undermine the chances of achieving peace and a two-state solution."

She added, "This government is pushing us toward continued conflict and bloodshed, and is leading Israel toward the abyss. Implementing this project would be a historic catastrophe and would make the possibility of achieving a peaceful future more difficult than ever."

Iran denies meeting with Witkoff and threatens to respond to UN sanctions

The Iranian Foreign Ministry said on Monday that no date or location has been set for a meeting between Foreign Minister Abbas Araqchi and Steve Witkoff, US President Donald Trump's envoy, stressing that Tehran will respond if UN sanctions are reinstated.

Foreign Ministry spokesman Esmail Baghaei explained in a press conference that it no longer makes sense to resort to the mechanisms of the nuclear agreement after the attack on peaceful nuclear facilities.

Baghaei stressed that Tehran's current priority is the lifting of the "unjust" sanctions.

He also pointed out that the UN sanctions snapback mechanism has no legal basis.

Baghaei said his country would respond if UN sanctions were reinstated after the automatic sanctions mechanism was activated.

He added that European countries are not in a position to activate the UN mechanism to reimpose the sanctions.

A French diplomatic source told Reuters last week that European powers would reimpose UN sanctions on Iran under a so-called "snapback mechanism" if no agreement on the nuclear issue was reached that safeguarded Europe's security interests.

This snapback mechanism will reimpose UN sanctions lifted under the 2015 nuclear deal between Iran and major powers in exchange for restrictions on Tehran's nuclear program.

For his part, Iranian Vice President Mohammad Reza Aref said that Tehran would respond harshly to any hostile stance toward it, noting that "we must prepare ourselves, as the greatest losses occur during the ceasefire period, as happened in Lebanon."

"We do not seek war with anyone. Problems can be resolved through dialogue, and appropriate conditions must be created for that," Aref added.

On the other hand, Iranian Foreign Minister Abbas Araqchi said that Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu is now openly dictating to the United States what to say and do in talks with Iran.

Araghchi noted that Netanyahu dreamed of eliminating 40 years of "our peaceful nuclear achievements," and the result was that every Iranian scientist assassinated by Israel raised hundreds of students who would demonstrate their capabilities to Netanyahu.

Trump: Enemies and allies have been exploiting the United States for decades.

US President Donald Trump claimed that his country has been subjected to what he described as "commercial and military exploitation" for decades by "friends and foes" alike.

This came in a post on the Truth Social platform on Monday, ahead of NATO Secretary General Mark Rutte's visit to Washington, D.C.

Trump added that this exploitation, as he put it, "has cost the country trillions of dollars and is no longer sustainable."

He said other countries should say, "Thank you for the free ride for years, but we know now is the time to do what's right for the United States."

Last April, the US president announced sweeping tariffs against most trading partners, before suspending most of them until July 9th following turmoil in stock and bond markets.

Over the past three months, the Trump administration has sought to conclude trade agreements with more than a dozen countries to reduce trade barriers to US exports and avoid imposing additional tariffs.

The movement sharply criticized Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu, asserting that he "is adept at sabotaging one round of negotiations after another and is unwilling to reach any agreement."

Lebanese criticism of Hezbollah's position on arms monopoly

A Lebanese ministerial source told Asharq Al-Awsat that the country is facing a historic moment that requires Hezbollah to unite politically under the umbrella of the three presidents: Joseph Aoun, Nabih Berri, and Nawaf Salam. They are awaiting a response from Tom Barrack, the US ambassador to Turkey and the US president’s special envoy to Syria, to their response to the ideas he put forward to help Lebanon establish an implementation mechanism for the ceasefire agreement with Israel. Barrack should do so instead of standing out from them by issuing positions that do not serve the unity of the Lebanese position and provide pretexts for Israel to continue its attacks.

The source noted that Hezbollah has committed a series of unnecessary blunders since the three presidents, Barak, submitted their responses to his ideas. The source noted that former minister Mahmoud Qamati, a member of the party's political council, said that Hezbollah has rebuilt its military capabilities. He argued that this provides a pretext for local and international parties to demand the party's disarmament and allows Israel to exploit the party to continue its aggression under the pretext that it is preventing it from reconstructing its military infrastructure.

The ministerial source asked: Where does the party's interest lie behind what Qamati said? Was he compelled to obfuscate the three presidents' responses to Barak's ideas? The presidents' responses included their commitment to the exclusive possession of weapons by the state, and their demand that Washington provide guarantees, starting with the establishment of a ceasefire, in exchange for their willingness to discuss everything contained in the agreement drawn up by the United States, in partnership with France. Lebanon, unlike Israel, has adhered to this agreement.

The source also asked: "Does Qamati's statement contribute to strengthening the Lebanese position, or does it provide Israel with a pretext to continue its attacks? How will the three presidents respond to his statement, given that he had previously threatened to cut off anyone who reached for Hezbollah's weapons?"

Weapon exclusivity

The ministerial source questioned the timing chosen by Qamati, who said the party had begun to regain its military capabilities. The party's deputy official for the Bekaa region, Sheikh Faisal Shukr, followed suit with a harsher stance, which amounted to a direct threat to "take the lives" of those demanding the party's disarmament. The source asked: Doesn't this constitute a circumvention of the three presidents' support for arms exclusivity, in compliance with their oath of office and the ministerial statement of Nawaf Salam's government, in which the party is represented by two ministers who have never previously expressed reservations about arms exclusivity?

He pointed out that the statements made by Qamati and Shukr do not serve the party's readiness, through its Secretary-General Sheikh Naim Qassem, to engage in political action that includes political and partisan forces at odds with it, and through this, it hopes to normalize its relationship, even from a position of disagreement.

Berri is uncomfortable with Hezbollah's threats.

The source emphasized that the party has no interest in separating itself from its ally, Parliament Speaker Nabih Berri, who, according to prominent parliamentary sources, was uneasy about the threat issued by Sheikh Shukr, nor about the developments in the south, with the UNIFIL forces being blocked from conducting patrols without Lebanese army escort.

Speaker Berri, reading the same book as President of the Republic General Joseph Aoun and Prime Minister Nawaf Salam in their unified response to Barak, is aware of the magnitude of the dangers facing the country. He insists on not entering into a dispute with Hezbollah so that he can support it in engaging in the state project based on its commitment to the exclusivity of arms, in exchange for providing American guarantees to compel Israel to cease fire and withdraw from southern Lebanon in stages, in implementation of Resolution 1701, according to the same sources.

The sources added that Berri's insistence on surrounding Hezbollah and not leaving it alone requires the latter to reduce the level of tension that controls his political discourse. It also requires him to stand behind the state in its diplomatic option to liberate the south, instead of preempting the parliamentary session designated to discuss the government and hold it accountable for its actions since its formation by offering a series of "free services" - in the political sense of the word - to his opponents, which would constitute rich material for them to corner him.

Party involvement in discussions

In this context, the ministerial source believed that Hezbollah had participated in preparing the three presidents' response by communicating with Berri and keeping up with the discussions that took place within the committee formed to prepare the Lebanese response. He said that the party has no interest in buying time and threatening, from time to time, that its patience and readiness to respond to Israeli violations are running out, as long as its leadership is still in the process of reorganizing its internal affairs and assessing the reasons that led to Israel's assassination of its most prominent political and military leaders.

The source emphasized that time is not in the interest of either Lebanon or Hezbollah, which is supposed to abandon its stubbornness, taking into account the transformations witnessed in the region and Lebanon, which were behind the shift in the balance of power with the decline of the influence of the axis of resistance and Iran's forced withdrawal in defense of the regime. He said that Hezbollah has no choice but to join the state project, pointing out, at the same time, that Barak, by warning Lebanon that failure to act in a timely manner would return it to "the Levant," intended to pressure the government and urge it to resolve its position by unanimously supporting the monopoly of arms, as this is a mandatory path to its salvation. He argued that time is not in its interest, and that the opportunity available to it to extricate the country from the crisis is not open. Therefore, it is necessary to stop taking Hezbollah into account instead of being subject to the interests of the majority of the Lebanese, who hold it responsible for the destruction that befell Lebanon by its unilateral support for Gaza without referring to the state, which is the authority that decides peace and war.

Three occupation soldiers were killed and others were injured in resistance ambushes in the Gaza Strip.

Three Israeli soldiers were killed and three others seriously injured, according to a preliminary toll from four resistance operations in the Gaza Strip, according to Israeli news websites.

According to these sites, the Palestinian resistance targeted the occupation forces at simultaneous times in Khan Yunis, Jabalia, Al-Tuffah neighborhood, and Al-Shuja'iyya neighborhood.

The occupation forces launched intensive raids on the sites of the two operations in the Shujaiya and Tuffah neighborhoods.

According to Israeli websites, three soldiers were killed when a Merkava tank was targeted with an anti-tank missile in the Gaza Strip.

Meanwhile, Israeli sources reported that three soldiers were killed and others were seriously injured in an attack on an engineering force in Jabalia, north of the Gaza Strip.

The resistance also targeted an occupation vehicle with a large explosive device, completely burning it. A soldier was lost as a result, but was later found dead. The occupation army then activated the Hannibal Protocol.

The Hannibal Protocol is being activated for fear that Israeli soldiers could be captured by the resistance during violent clashes. A few days ago, the Izz ad-Din al-Qassam Brigades released a video recording of an attempt to capture an Israeli soldier before killing him during a raid on a gathering of Israeli soldiers and military vehicles in the Abasan al-Kabira area east of Khan Yunis.

Commenting on the heavy losses inflicted on the occupation army over the past few days, some Israeli news websites urged their audiences to pay attention to the army's announcements, which "announce the killing of militants through a pre-prepared announcement for publication." They added that "the army is incapable of confronting the militants who are pursuing its forces."

Later, the Al-Qassam Brigades announced that it had targeted "a Zionist armored personnel carrier with a Zionist soldier on board, near the intersection of Highway 5 and the western line, north of Khan Yunis, in the southern Gaza Strip. Our fighters observed helicopters intervening to evacuate."

Settlers place occupation flags near citizens' homes in the northern Jordan Valley.

On Monday, Israeli settler groups escalated their provocations against residents of the Ain al-Hilweh area, one of the communities threatened with forced displacement in the northern Jordan Valley. They placed Israeli flags near residents' tents and homes in the area, a move residents considered a direct provocation and an attempt to impose a settlement reality by force.

According to local sources, the settlers roamed near residents' homes and erected flags near their tents. This comes at a time when the area is witnessing near-daily raids by groups of heavily armed settlers, who carry out repeated attacks aimed at intimidating residents and forcing them to leave.

This move comes as part of an ongoing series of settler violations in the northern Jordan Valley, which include daily attacks on residents, vandalism of their property, and persecution of pastureland residents, in addition to attacks on and theft of livestock, all under the direct protection and support of the occupation forces.

The Ain al-Hilweh area is one of the most prominent areas targeted by forced displacement operations, as part of the occupation's plan to annex the Jordan Valley and impose complete control over it. This constitutes a flagrant violation of international humanitarian law, particularly the Fourth Geneva Convention, which prohibits the transfer of civilians from their lands or the persecution of civilians to force them to leave.

In a non-final statistic, 28 dead have been reported in the Gaza Strip since dawn today.

Medical sources announced on Monday that 28 civilians were killed as a result of Israeli bombing of the Gaza Strip since dawn today.

In turn, the Government Media Office in Gaza reported that more than 700 people, the majority of them children, were killed in 112 massacres perpetrated by the occupation forces targeting water filling lines in the Gaza Strip.

In his statement, he said, "In one of the most heinous crimes committed against humanity, the Israeli occupation continues to wage a systematic and deliberate war of deprivation against our Palestinian people in the Gaza Strip, in flagrant violation of all international and humanitarian conventions, using water as a weapon of collective warfare to exterminate the population and strip them of their most basic human rights."

The Government Media Office reported that 112 fresh water filling stations were targeted, "committing massacres against hundreds of civilians in water filling lines, most of them children seeking drinking water. The most recent massacre occurred in the New Camp, northwest of the Nuseirat camp in the central Gaza Strip, where the occupation forces killed 12 martyrs, including eight children."

"The occupation deliberately destroyed 720 water wells, putting them out of service, depriving more than a million and a quarter people of access to clean water. It prevented the entry of 12 million liters of fuel per month, the minimum amount needed to operate water wells, sewage treatment plants, waste collection vehicles, and other vital sectors. This ban has caused a near-total paralysis of the water and sewage networks and exacerbated the spread of epidemics, especially among children," he continued.

The Government Media Office said, "Since January 23, 2025, the occupation has cut off Mekorot water, the last major source of water supply to the Gaza Strip, exacerbating the tragedy of thirst and daily suffering. On March 9, the occupation cut off the last power line that supplied the last central water desalination plant, located south of Deir al-Balah in the central Gaza Strip, halting the production of large quantities of drinking water and further exacerbating the stifling water crisis."

He pointed out that "the Gaza Strip is today witnessing a major crime of deprivation of water, carried out by the Israeli occupation in a deliberate and systematic manner, amidst complete international silence and the direct and indirect participation of European and Western countries involved in supporting the occupation or colluding with it in the crime of genocide, the pillars and clear components of which are no longer hidden from anyone, most notably: starvation, deprivation of water, medicine, shelter and water."

The government media in Gaza affirmed that "this racist policy constitutes a full-fledged war crime under the Geneva Conventions and a serious violation of international humanitarian law and human rights, for which the Israeli occupation authorities bear full responsibility. We also hold the countries that support and are complicit in this genocide, primarily the United States, Germany, France, and the United Kingdom, legally and morally responsible for the continuation of this most serious humanitarian catastrophe in modern times."

He called on the international community and all UN, human rights, and international legal institutions to take urgent action to: “First, immediately stop the war of deprivation and ensure unhindered access to water for civilians. Second, pressure the occupation to allow the entry of fuel and equipment necessary to operate water wells and sewage stations. Third, open an urgent international investigation into the crime of deprivation of water as part of the ongoing genocide against civilians in the Gaza Strip. Fourth, hold the occupation accountable before international courts for its crimes against defenseless civilians and bring its criminal leaders to justice.”

The occupation forces sentenced the child Abdullah Abu Diab to four years in prison.

The Jerusalem Governorate strongly condemned the sentence issued by the Israeli occupation authorities against the Jerusalemite child Abdullah Abu Diab (15 years old), which effectively imprisoned him for four years, after he had spent more than 14 months in detention since his arrest on May 6, 2024.

In a press release issued Sunday, the governorate considered this unjust ruling a legal and moral crime, adding to the growing record of violations against Jerusalemite children. The governorate emphasized that the occupation's policy against Jerusalemite minors is no longer limited to individual cases, but has become a systematic approach aimed at destroying the Palestinian social fabric and displacing the younger generations from the occupied city.

The governorate stated: "Since October 7, 2023, 91 martyrs have been killed in Jerusalem, half of whom were children under the age of 17. This confirms that the occupation is deliberately targeting Palestinian children directly, in a grave violation of all international laws and conventions."

The governorate also revealed that during the same period, the occupation authorities issued 161 house arrest orders against Jerusalemite children, forcing families to turn their homes into miniature prisons where children are deprived of education, play, and movement. In some cases, one parent is forced to remain with the child throughout the detention period, a coercive measure that lacks even the most basic standards of justice and humanity.

According to statistics from the Jerusalem Governorate, the number of detainees in the city since the start of the Israeli escalation in October 2023 has reached 2,464, including a large number of minors. This is a clear violation of international law and even Israeli law, which prohibits the imprisonment of children under the age of 14. This law is systematically circumvented through sham trials that lack even the most basic elements of justice.

The Jerusalem Governorate affirmed that it is following these violations with grave concern and is monitoring them legally and human rights-based. It reiterated its categorical rejection of all policies of detention and repression targeting Jerusalemite children, which amount to war crimes and crimes against humanity.

At the conclusion of its statement, the governorate called on international human rights organizations, primarily the United Nations and UNICEF, to take immediate and serious action to protect children in Jerusalem and hold the occupation authorities accountable for these violations. It warned that the continued international silence regarding these crimes constitutes a dangerous cover for their continuation and escalation.

An elderly man was injured after being attacked by settlers in Bethlehem.

An elderly man suffered fractures and bruises after being attacked by settlers on Monday in the village of Al-Minya, southeast of Bethlehem.

Local sources reported that a group of settlers attacked the elderly man, Abdul Mahdi Matour (60 years old), and beat him with sticks, causing injuries to his face and hand.

The Red Crescent in Bethlehem confirmed that citizen Matour sustained a broken jaw and hand as a result of the attack. He was given first aid and transferred to Beit Jala Governmental Hospital for treatment.

A group of settlers attacked Minya today, setting up four tents in the "Al-Qarn" area in the middle of the village, and uprooting 1,500 olive saplings belonging to citizens from the Al-Matour and Jabarin families.

The occupation continues its aggression on Tulkarm and its camp and escalates demolition operations.

The Israeli occupation forces continue their aggression against the city of Tulkarm and its camp for the 169th consecutive day, and for the 156th day against the Nur Shams camp, amid an unprecedented escalation in demolitions and bulldozing operations that have affected dozens of homes and residential facilities.

Local sources reported that heavy Israeli bulldozers continued their demolition operations in Tulkarm camp this morning at a rapid pace, targeting more residential buildings as part of a new plan to demolish 104 buildings containing around 400 homes. This comes as part of a series of demolitions that have affected several neighborhoods in the camp, specifically Al-Murabba'a, Abu Al-Foul, and Al-Shuhada, in recent days, and have led to thousands of families losing their homes.

In a scene captured during the demolition, occupation soldiers were seen perched on the roofs of the homes of residents whose owners had been forcibly evicted from the camp. They watched the demolition and expressed admiration for the bulldozer driver, who deliberately destroyed the homes, leaving them in ruins.

Last week, the occupation authorities announced their intention to begin implementing large-scale demolition orders in Tulkarm camp, disregarding an earlier Israeli Supreme Court decision to freeze these orders.

Meanwhile, Nour Shams camp is witnessing a military escalation amidst the aggression and tight siege imposed by the occupation forces, accompanied by the deliberate burning of homes and the setting of fires inside them, particularly in Jabal al-Nasr.

Over the past few weeks, Nur Shams camp has been subjected to extensive demolition operations, including dozens of residential buildings, as part of an Israeli plan to demolish 106 buildings in Tulkarm and Nur Shams camps. 48 of these buildings were demolished in Nur Shams alone, causing widespread destruction, while wide streets were created and opened, separating neighborhoods from each other.

The ongoing escalation has led to the forced displacement of more than 5,000 families from the Tulkarm and Nur Shams camps, i.e. more than 25,000 citizens, and the complete destruction of more than 600 homes, and 2,573 homes were partially damaged, in light of the continued closure of the entrances to the camps with barriers, turning them into lifeless areas, preventing residents from reaching their homes or checking on their property, amid direct gunfire targeting anyone who approaches the area.

In a related context, the occupation forces sent more military reinforcements to the city, which is witnessing intensive movements of occupation vehicles around the clock, specifically in the neighborhoods, the market center, the street of the Martyr Thabet Thabet Governmental Hospital, and Nablus Street, where they deliberately obstruct the movement of citizens and vehicles, while sounding their horns in a provocative manner, and driving against the traffic flow, endangering the lives of citizens.

The occupation forces continue to transform Nablus Street into a military barracks, continuing their seizure of a number of residential buildings there, along with parts of the city's northern neighborhood, specifically those facing Tulkarm refugee camp. The forces forcibly evacuated residents of these neighborhoods, some of which have been under occupation control for more than four months, and have deployed heavy machinery and bulldozers in the vicinity.

This street, which serves as a link between the Tulkarm and Nur Shams refugee camps, has also suffered significant damage due to earth mounds placed by the occupation forces several months ago. The occupation forces are also heavily present, setting up flying and surprise checkpoints, obstructing vehicle movement and exacerbating the suffering of civilians.

The ongoing aggression has so far resulted in the deaths of 14 civilians, including a child and two women, one of whom was eight months pregnant. Dozens of people have been injured and arrested, and widespread destruction has been caused to infrastructure, homes, shops, and vehicles.

Trial Resumption: Netanyahu Changes His Statement on Leaking Secret Documents

The trial of Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu resumed Monday morning at the Tel Aviv District Court, following a nearly month-long hiatus following requests for adjournment, including over the Iran war and a closed-door session he held with Mossad chief David Barnea, National Security Council chief Tzachi Hanegbi, and Aman intelligence chief Shlomi Bender.

Netanyahu's trial today revolves around the case known as "Case 1000," in which he is accused of fraud and breach of trust, and his relationship with American-Israeli film producer Arnon Milchan. Milchan is accused of receiving personal benefits in the form of gifts of luxury cigars for him and bottles of champagne for his wife, amounting to hundreds of thousands of shekels, in exchange for Netanyahu's efforts with the US administration to extend Milchan's entry visa to the United States, where his business is based in Hollywood, and to extend the tax exemption period for citizens returning to Israel, from which Milchan would benefit significantly financially.

The State Prosecution began questioning Netanyahu in the same case on June 3, in contrast to the order it had followed in presenting the prosecution's case. It began with Case 4000, in which Netanyahu is accused of granting favors to Shaul Elovitch, the owner of the Bezeq telecommunications company, in exchange for favorable media coverage on the Walla! website, which Elovitch also owns. The prosecution considered the first case to be the strongest in terms of evidence against Netanyahu, unlike the last case (Case 4000), in which the judges recommended the prosecution drop the bribery charge, the most serious of the three charges in the case.

Netanyahu faces charges of corruption, bribery, and treason in three corruption cases, known as Cases 1000, 2000, and 4000. An indictment was filed against him in late November 2023. In Case 2000, he is accused of negotiating with Yedioth Ahronoth publisher Arnon Mozes to obtain positive media coverage.

Meanwhile, Netanyahu changed his statement regarding the leak of secret documents aimed at harming state security, which was revealed in November 2024. At the time, he said he learned about it through the media, but today, via his X account, he said he was aware of the details.

This comes after Attorney General Gali Baharav-Miara decided to prosecute and hold a hearing for Netanyahu's media advisor, Yonatan Urich, on charges of leaking classified information with the intent to harm state security, possessing classified information, and destroying evidence.

Following this, Netanyahu stated, "I am aware of the details and I can state very clearly: There was no harm to state security. Yonatan did not harm state security."

He attacked the attorney general, saying, "This is a baseless move designed to serve another agenda, not the public's interest." He noted that, "The disgraceful decision issued by the attorney general regarding the intention to prosecute Urich at this particular time is unfortunate and raises serious questions."

It is noteworthy that in November 2024, the Public Prosecution filed two indictments in the leak of secret documents case against Netanyahu's spokesman, Eliezer Feldstein, and against an army officer, for leaking secret information to the German newspaper "Bild" with the aim of influencing public opinion in Israel regarding the negotiations for a prisoner exchange deal at the time. It was reported at the time, according to the indictment, that indictments were expected to be filed against other suspects in the case.

3,850 arrests during the first half of 2025

Prisoners' institutions said on Monday that 3,850 arrests were recorded in the West Bank, including Jerusalem, during the first half of 2025, including approximately 400 children and 125 women.

The institutions (the Commission of Prisoners' and Ex-Prisoners' Affairs, the Palestinian Prisoners' Club, and Addameer Prisoner Support and Human Rights Association) indicated in a fact sheet containing special numerical data for the first half of the year that the Israeli occupation authorities continue their brutality and systematic crimes in light of the ongoing war of extermination. The first half of 2025 constituted an extension of the phase that followed the war of extermination, which imposed massive transformations in the level of the occupation's crimes and policies, whether in terms of the systematic arrest campaigns and the crimes that accompanied them, or in terms of the reality of prisoners and detainees in the occupation's prisons and camps, as one aspect of the war of extermination.

She indicated that the highest percentage of arrest campaigns was recorded in March, where (800) arrests were recorded, noting that the arrests included those who were arrested and kept in detention by the occupation, as well as those who were later released. The arrest campaigns included all categories, and the highest percentage was against young men, former prisoners, and released prisoners.

The highest number of arrests was recorded in the governorates of Jenin and Tulkarm, which are witnessing the largest aggression since the Al-Aqsa Intifada. The number of arrests in Jenin during the first half of 2025 reached (920), and in Tulkarm (455). This widespread aggression was accompanied by forced displacement operations that affected tens of thousands of citizens from the camps in the two governorates, the demolition of hundreds of homes, in addition to assassinations and field executions.

The level of these crimes was no less pronounced in the rest of the West Bank governorates, which witnessed arrest campaigns and extensive field investigations targeting thousands of people, in addition to acts of vandalism and destruction of homes, thefts and confiscations, severe beatings, and the use of citizens as hostages and human shields, in addition to organized terrorist operations and threats that reached the level of murder.

She pointed out that in recent months, extensive field investigations have overshadowed actual arrests, which have been accompanied by crimes no less serious than those faced by detainees in interrogation and detention centers. Hundreds of citizens subjected to field investigations have faced torture, abuse, and assaults of various kinds, affecting all segments of the population, including women, children, and the elderly. The aggression of settlers in various governorates has also contributed to the increased frequency of arrests, particularly in villages close to settlements built on the lands of those towns or areas close to them.

The reality of crimes committed against prisoners and detainees in the occupation's prisons and camps

Regarding the reality of prisoners and detainees in Israeli occupation prisons, the occupation regime has continued to commit all its crimes, which it has escalated in an unprecedented manner since the beginning of the war of extermination. The most prominent of these crimes are torture, starvation, medical crimes, the deliberate spread of diseases and epidemics, and sexual assaults. This is in addition to the acts of robbery, deprivation, humiliation, and abuse that have affected all the needs of the prisoners, in addition to the comprehensive isolation they have faced since the extermination.

The institutions announced the martyrdom of (19) detainees during the first half of this year, including ten detainees from Gaza, and nine from the West Bank, including the child Walid Ahmed from the town of Silwad.

The institutions documented hundreds of testimonies and affidavits from prisoners and detainees inside detention centers and camps, as well as from released prisoners, which reflected the level of horrific crimes and atrocities committed against them. The testimonies of detainees in Gaza remain the most severe and harsh. Over the past months, the institutions have published dozens of reports and special statements on this matter. The continued spread of scabies (scabies) overshadowed the testimonies of hundreds of prisoners and detainees, which constituted one of the main reasons for the deterioration of the health conditions of thousands of prisoners and detainees. Along with all the aforementioned crimes, it constituted the most prominent challenge facing the institutions in monitoring the health conditions of prisoners and detainees.

The crime of arbitrary administrative detention under the pretext of having a “secret file” constituted the most prominent and ongoing transformation since the beginning of the genocide, as the occupation continued to use it extensively and in a historically unprecedented manner, until their number reached more than (3600) until the beginning of July 2025, including (87) children, and (10) female prisoners, including a girl.

The occupation authorities have historically pursued this crime in an ongoing attempt to impose greater control and surveillance over citizens and rob them of their lives. The majority of those held under administrative detention are prisoners who were previously detained for years, most of which were held under administrative detention. It is worth noting that the number of administrative detainees currently constitutes the highest percentage compared to those detained and convicted, as well as those the occupation classifies as "illegal combatants."

Special data on the period following the war of extermination

The number of arrests in the West Bank, including Jerusalem, has reached more than (18,000) cases. This data does not include the arrests in Gaza, which are estimated in the thousands, while the number of women who have been subjected to arrest and detention since the genocide has reached more than (560). As for children, the number of arrests among them since the genocide has reached more than (1450).

The number of martyrs and detainees who have been killed since the beginning of the genocide, and whose identities are known only, is (73) prisoners and detainees, including (45) from Gaza, noting that there are dozens of martyrs, specifically among the ranks of the detainees from Gaza, whom the occupation authorities continue to forcibly conceal.

Update on the number of prisoners and detainees until the beginning of July 2025

The number of prisoners and detainees in Israeli occupation prisons has risen to about (10,800) prisoners. This number does not include detainees held in camps affiliated with the Israeli occupation army.

The total number of prisoners and detainees in Israeli occupation prisons until the beginning of July 2025 amounted to approximately (10,800) prisoners. This number does not include detainees held in camps affiliated with the occupation army. This number constitutes the highest since the Al-Aqsa Intifada in 2000, based on documentary data available to institutions.

- Female prisoners: Their number to date is (50) female prisoners, including two female prisoners from Gaza.

- Children: To date, their number has reached more than (450) children.

Administrative detainees: By the beginning of July, their number reached (3,629) detainees, which is the highest percentage compared to the number of prisoners arrested, convicted, and classified as “illegal combatants.”

- Detainees classified as "unlawful combatants": Their number reached (2,454) detainees, noting that this number does not include all detainees from Gaza held in camps affiliated with the occupation army. This is the highest number since the beginning of the war of genocide. It is noteworthy that this classification also includes Arab detainees from Lebanon and Syria.

The "Humanitarian City" will cost Israel $10-15 billion. Israel plans to recoup its costs from the countries that will invest and rebuild Gaza.

Yedioth Ahronoth quoted senior Israeli sources as saying that the "humanitarian city" that Israel is preparing to establish in the Rafah area of the Gaza Strip will cost between 10 and 15 billion shekels, with Israel bearing almost all of this cost in the first phase.

According to the original plan, the "city" would constitute a large camp, with most of the displaced living there in large tents. Israel does not intend to allow those present there to return to the northern Gaza Strip. The city is expected to accommodate approximately half a million people. The security establishment has harshly criticized the plan, asserting that it constitutes the beginning of imposing military rule over the Strip. Humanitarian organizations view it as a forced expulsion of residents from their homes. In recent weeks, IDF Chief of Staff Lt. Gen. Eyal Zamir has clashed with Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu and Finance Minister Bezalel Smotrich over the plan. He asserted that preparing the area would impede the army's ability to carry out its missions against Hamas and return the captives. However, Netanyahu has instructed the army to prepare the plan and be ready for implementation within days.

A meeting was held last weekend to discuss the issue, attended by Smotrich, who approved the allocation of initial budgets for land settlement. Israeli sources confirmed, "The final cost will range between 10 and 15 billion shekels."

This high cost stems from the desire to build a place that will attract Palestinians, with abundant food and reasonable living conditions, tents for long-term living, medical aid, including hospitals, and perhaps even schools. Sources in the security cabinet said the idea hinges on Israel reclaiming these funds from Arab countries like Saudi Arabia and the UAE when they assume responsibility for rebuilding the Strip after the war ends. They expressed their belief: “The conditions for this are not yet in place, and few believe this city will actually be built.”

The Finance Minister's office responded to the report by stating that these allegations are merely attempts to thwart "the Prime Minister's plan to create a humanitarian separation between Hamas and the population by inflating budgets to instill fear and curb the plan."

Smotrich's spokesman confirmed that hundreds of millions of shekels had been approved "to regularize protected land for residents."

The war has cost hundreds of billions of shekels without a resolution, particularly due to the failure to manage aid, which provides Hamas with power. Proper humanitarian response and stifling Hamas are the most effective path to victory. If anyone wants to circumvent budgets, it's best to abandon it.

The occupation forces a citizen to demolish his home south of Al-Aqsa Mosque.

Today, Monday, the Israeli occupation authorities forced a citizen to demolish his home in the town of Silwan, south of Al-Aqsa Mosque.

The Jerusalem Governorate reported that the occupation forces forced Maher al-Salaymeh, a resident of the Wadi Qaddum neighborhood in the town, to demolish his home.

She added that the house consists of two apartments, accommodates seven people, has been standing for more than 35 years, and covers an area of approximately 140 square meters.

It's worth noting that the occupation authorities had previously demolished another home belonging to the Salaimeh family, as part of a systematic policy targeting Jerusalem residents through demolition orders and population restrictions.

The occupation authorities force citizens in occupied Jerusalem to demolish their homes on their own, claiming they lack permits. Those who refuse to do so have their homes demolished by bulldozers, and the owner is subject to heavy costs.

The Israeli municipality in Jerusalem refuses to grant Palestinian citizens building permits and demolishes or forces them to demolish their homes. This practice violates international law and humanitarian principles that guarantee the right to housing. This practice is part of the Israeli occupation's systematic practice of forcibly displacing Palestinians from Jerusalem in exchange for expanding settlements in and around the city.

It's worth noting that the number of homes and facilities destroyed by the Israeli occupation authorities in the governorate since the start of the aggression on the Gaza Strip on October 7, 2023, has reached 623. These include residential homes, some of which have been inhabited for decades, and others under construction, in addition to commercial and economic facilities that provide a source of livelihood for dozens of Jerusalemite families, according to the Jerusalem Governorate.

360 medical personnel in Gaza have been arrested since the beginning of the aggression.

Medical sources said that 360 healthcare workers have been arrested since the beginning of the genocidal war on the Gaza Strip on October 7, 2023, including doctors with critical medical expertise and specialties that have been denied to patients and the wounded.

Medical sources added in a press release on Monday that the Israeli occupation is imposing severe restrictions on prisoners in general and on medical personnel in particular, as they live in dire and tragic conditions in the occupation's detention centers.

She noted that the lawyer for prisoner Dr. Hussam Abu Safia, who has been detained since December 27, according to his last visit, described the brutality he endured during interrogation, including his exposure to constant beatings, his deteriorating health condition, and his denial of medical treatment.

Settlers Escalate...Decisive Plan of Fire and Blood

Dr. Khalil Tafakji: The Israeli government is pushing the settlers to the forefront as an "executive tool" without taking direct responsibility before the international community.
Abdullah Abu Rahma: Settler attacks are taking place according to an organized and systematic plan, in implementation of the "decisive plan," and displacement has begun with the Bedouins and is expanding to the villages.
Abdul Hadi Hantash: What is happening resembles a "rolling snowball," and the next phase portends a greater escalation in the West Bank, given the collusion between the army and the settlers.
Dr. Saeed Shaheen: The settlers' rampage and crimes are part of a settlement plan sponsored by the right-wing government to force Palestinians to emigrate, fearing a "bloodbath."
Samir Anabtawi: What is happening is in line with a plan to transform the conflict in the West Bank from a liberation struggle for a people groaning under occupation to a "civilian" struggle between Jews and Arabs.
Imad Musa: Netanyahu's clear goal in this escalation is to appease the extremist settlers to ensure his continued rule and regain his strength at the ballot box.

The West Bank is witnessing a dangerous escalation in settler attacks, which have targeted numerous villages and towns in recent days, particularly those east and north of Ramallah. There are fears that these attacks will escalate systematically, forcing residents to emigrate.
In separate interviews with "I," officials, experts, writers, and political analysts say that settlers are being used as an executive tool to advance Israeli occupation plans aimed at annexing lands and displacing their original owners, without bearing direct responsibility before the international community.
They point out that this policy, which is based on incitement, protection, and financial support, reveals the true face of a colonial settlement project seeking to impose new facts on the ground. Attention is now focused on war crimes in Gaza. This escalation is accompanied by a wave of bloody attacks targeting villages and Bedouin communities in the West Bank, where killing and forced displacement have become clear means of forcing Palestinians to leave their lands for the benefit of settlement expansion.
In light of these developments, officials, experts, and writers believe that the current phase requires urgent Palestinian action to reorganize its ranks, unify popular and official efforts, and expose these crimes at the Arab and international levels. This will ensure the survival of threatened communities and strengthen their resilience in the face of the displacement and settlement machinery that threatens both the land and the people.

517,000 settlers in the West Bank and 235,000 in Jerusalem

Settlement expert Dr. Khalil Tafakji asserts that Israel's settlement policy in the West Bank clearly relies on settlers as an instrument of implementation for the settlement project, with direct support from the Israeli military. This is done to circumvent international pressure and appear unofficial in its repression and displacement operations.
Tafakji explains that the Israeli government is pushing the settlers to the forefront as an "implementing tool" for its annexation policies and the emptying of the land of its indigenous inhabitants, without the government itself bearing direct responsibility before the international community.
Tafakji points out that the number of settlers in the West Bank has increased from approximately 115,000 at the time of the signing of the Oslo Accords to more than 517,000 today, in addition to approximately 235,000 settlers in Jerusalem, reflecting the significant expansion of settlement projects.
Tafakji points out that this increase did not come about by chance, but rather is an extension of the Matityahu-Drobles plan, which was developed in 1979, with the goal of bringing the number of settlers in the West Bank to one million.
Tafakji asserts that this policy is not limited to settlements alone, but also includes killings, assaults, and forced displacement. He believes that the ethnic cleansing of Bedouins in the West Bank is part of a plan to gather Palestinians into isolated cantons with the aim of tightening Israeli control over more than 60% of the West Bank.

A great danger threatens the Bedouin existence

Tafakji points out that there is a significant threat to the Bedouin presence in the targeted areas, as efforts are underway to concentrate the Bedouin in specific areas, serving the Israeli plan to reduce the area within which the Bedouin can move and gain complete control over their lands.
Tafakji expresses his deep regret for the delay in Palestinian action to support these Bedouin communities, whether financially, politically, or even in terms of media coverage. He emphasizes that the Khan al-Ahmar experience represents a rare example of the success of popular and international pressure, which led to its recognition as an existing village, rather than as a nomadic Bedouin community, while retaining its lands.
Tafakji calls for official Palestinian recognition of these villages as existing residential units with local authorities, and for them not to be treated as mere Bedouin communities. This would open the door to a repetition of the displacement scenario experienced by Palestinian villages within the 1948 territories, which were only recognized after long years of struggle and popular and international pressure.
Tafakji asserts that confronting this policy requires a clear political decision that supports the Bedouins' survival, strengthens their resilience, protects their lands from confiscation, and prevents the annexation of more of them to the settlements and outposts that are consuming Palestinian land day after day.

Israeli policy has gone through gradual stages.

For his part, Abdullah Abu Rahma, director of the Popular Action Department at the Wall and Settlement Resistance Commission, asserts that the escalating attacks carried out by settlers in the West Bank are being carried out according to an organized and systematic plan, aimed at displacing or killing Palestinians, in implementation of what their extremist leader, Bezalel Smotrich, has dubbed the "decisive plan."
Abu Rahma explains that the essence of this plan is based on imposing three options on Palestinians: either forced departure, remaining a servant of the occupation, or being killed. Facts on the ground prove that the only two options being implemented are displacement and killing. There is no room even for the idea of turning Palestinians into servants, because the settlement project is based on the complete erasure of Palestinian existence.
Abu Rahma points out that this policy has gone through gradual stages, beginning years ago with intimidation campaigns, racist slogans, arson attacks, and assaults. It then moved to silently targeting Bedouin communities, with 32 Bedouin communities displaced since October 7, 2023, without any adequate response. They exploited the world's preoccupation with the genocidal crimes in Gaza. He noted that these Bedouin communities were the beginning, and that the targeting is being expanded to include villages.

A dangerous bloody escalation by the settlers

Abu Rahma explains that the current phase is witnessing a more dangerous bloody escalation, with villages being directly targeted, as happened recently in Kafr Malik, Al-Mazra'a Al-Sharqiya, and Sinjil. These attacks were carried out by heavily armed settlers, under the protection of the Israeli army, with the aim of spreading terror, breaking the will of Palestinians, and forcing them to leave their land.
Abu Rahma asserts that the international community's silence and the inaction of some institutions have encouraged the settlers to persist in their attacks, which now directly confront the landowners, who have no choice but to believe in their right and their will to defend their ancestral land.
Abu Rahma stresses the need to unify Palestinian efforts across all components and escalate organized popular action within a comprehensive national plan. He also emphasizes the need to not limit ourselves to mere reaction or defense, but rather to engage in activities and initiatives that undermine settler attacks.
Abu Rahma asserts that the Bedouin communities that were silently displaced were a lesson to be learned, calling for not leaving villages alone to face the attacks of settler militias. He points out that the Commission and the Popular Protection Committees are working with all their might to provide the elements of steadfastness, but that this is insufficient in the face of the scale of the onslaught. What is required is a unified national effort that goes beyond individual and institutional action and establishes a comprehensive resistance plan that will halt the plans for displacement and the liquidation of the Palestinian cause.

Settler attacks are not random events.

For his part, Abdul Hadi Hantash, an expert on land and settlement affairs, asserts that the crimes committed by settlers in the West Bank are not random incidents, but rather represent a fundamental pillar of the Israeli occupation's objectives. He points out that the settlers are an arm of the occupation government, which employs them as a primary tool to implement its annexation and displacement projects, emptying the land of its indigenous inhabitants.
Hantash explains that the brutality of today's settlers is nothing new, but rather an extension of the approach of the armed Zionist organizations that practiced displacement and murder against the Palestinian people in 1948. Although the names differ, the primary goal remains the same: seizing as much Palestinian land as possible for the benefit of the settlement project.
Hantash asserts that the occupation authorities not only turn a blind eye to these crimes, but also provide them with official cover, in addition to direct government support. This includes supplying settlers with weapons and providing them with daily protection during their raids on villages and roads and attacks on Palestinians. Furthermore, huge budgets are allocated to these settler organizations to assist them in implementing pre-planned plans.

The occupation deploys additional combat units in the West Bank.

Hantash points out that what is happening in the West Bank today resembles a "rolling snowball," with increasing escalation. The more these crimes continue to unfold, the greater their scope and scope, amidst the occupation's policy of multiplying attacks through collaboration between the army and settlers, thus achieving the strategic goal of annexing large swaths of Palestinian land and emptying them of their inhabitants.
Hantash points out that the occupation has recently intensified the deployment of additional combat units in the West Bank, confirming that there are new plans being implemented, similar to the destruction and mass killings that took place in the Gaza Strip. He cites what is happening today in the Palestinian refugee camps, which are being subjected to fierce attacks similar to those carried out in Gaza, with the aim of breaking the will of the Palestinians and pushing them to leave. This is a tactic that is being repeated by the tool used by the Israeli occupation government: the settlers.
Hantash warns that the coming phase portends further escalation in the West Bank, given this collusion between the army and the settlers. He stresses the need to expose these schemes to the world and put an end to this policy that targets the Palestinian presence on their historic land.

The right-wing government sponsors settler violence.

For his part, Dr. Saeed Shaheen, a professor of political media at Hebron University, warns of the danger of Israeli society's drift toward fascism and racism, particularly among colonial settlers sponsored by the state and protected by the far-right government and bloody religious Zionism. He asserts that this dangerous slide reinforces the deeply held belief among Palestinians that achieving a just peace with these "savages," backed by Israeli government ministers and security and military leaders, has become nearly impossible.
Shaheen points out that the settlers' rampage and crimes are part of a settlement plan sponsored by the right-wing government to force Palestinians into forced migration, which will lead to a bloodbath similar to what is happening in Gaza.
Shaheen explains that the systematic criminal behavior perpetrated by settlers against Palestinians in the West Bank and East Jerusalem now aims to create a terrifying and repellent environment for the indigenous inhabitants of these areas. This is prompting Palestinians to seriously consider defending themselves by all available legitimate means, even as the far-right government continues to give the green light to carry out premeditated attacks within a clearly defined plan.

A dangerous settlement approach parallel to the atrocities in Gaza

Shaheen points out that this plan seeks to force Palestinians to emigrate from their lands, through intensified attacks, harassment, and terrorizing them, in a blatant attempt to implement biblical settlement projects to impose a new reality based on the construction of a so-called "Greater Israel" devoid of Palestinian presence, especially in Areas C and B of the West Bank, with the aim of stifling the Palestinian dream of establishing a viable independent state and ending any chance of implementing the two-state solution principle. He warns that this dangerous settlement approach runs parallel to the atrocities being committed in the Gaza Strip, but with different methods and tools to achieve the same goal.
Shaheen calls for the creation of a unified Palestinian front capable of confronting this critical phase, by forming a comprehensive national framework under the umbrella of the new Palestine Liberation Organization (PLO), which must embrace all Palestinian forces without exception, within common national denominators that guarantee unity and prevent further divisions.
Shaheen asserts that the escalation of settler attacks and the absence of international protection could push the situation in the West Bank and Jerusalem into a bloodbath similar to what is happening in Gaza, unless neighboring countries and the international community intervene to heed President Mahmoud Abbas's calls for urgent international protection for the Palestinian people.
Shaheen believes that reforming the Palestinian political system and developing a unified struggle strategy are among the most important steps toward confronting the displacement and ethnic cleansing projects implemented by the occupation government and its settlers.

Settler attacks under official Israeli sponsorship

Writer and political analyst Samer Anabtawi says that the brutality perpetrated by settlers in the West Bank did not come as a surprise. Rather, it was anticipated and pre-planned by the extremist Israeli political and security leadership, which directly supports the settlement presence and its expansion by supplying settlers with weapons, training, and money, in addition to providing them with protection during their repeated attacks on external roads and Palestinian villages surrounding the settlements.
Anbatawi asserts that the recent bloody attacks, including the killing of three young men in the village of Kafr Malik, east of Ramallah, and the killing of two other young men a few days ago in Mazra'a al-Sharqiya, north of Ramallah, are part of this systematic plan to support settlements and impose a reality that makes life difficult for Palestinians and forces them to emigrate and leave their lands.
Anbatawi explains that this policy falls within the framework of the Israeli political project aimed at transforming the conflict in the West Bank from a liberation struggle for a people groaning under occupation into a mere "civilian" conflict between Jewish and Arab citizens, as stated in Israeli military statements, which described the recent settler attacks on the town of Kifl Haris as "clashes between civilians," when in reality they were armed attacks by extremist settlers against defenseless Palestinian villages, under the protection of the same army.

American sponsorship and international and Arab silence

Anbatawi points out that what is happening today in the West Bank is occurring in parallel with the war of extermination being waged in the Gaza Strip, with the flames of Gaza covering up the displacement and destruction of the Palestinian presence being planned for the West Bank under American sponsorship and international and Arab silence. He emphasizes that this plan did not begin after October 7, 2023, but was already prepared in advance and was temporarily reduced in intensity with the outbreak of the war, only to return today with greater force as the Netanyahu government and extremists like Ben-Gvir and Smotrich seek to exploit the moment.
Anabtawi warns that the current settlement project aims, in practice, to annex approximately 61% of the West Bank and place the remainder into isolated cantons, as a prelude to subsequent comprehensive annexation and the complete elimination of the historical Palestinian presence. This brings to mind the 1948 Nakba, but in a new and more comprehensive form.
Anbatawi calls for confronting this project by rebuilding Palestinian power through ending the division, unifying ranks, and strengthening the Palestinian internal front politically, economically, and security-wise. He also calls for exposing these schemes to the world and garnering popular and international legal support to confront the annexation and displacement plans. He emphasizes that this project targets all of Palestine, from the river to the sea, and extends regionally to achieve Israeli security, political, and economic hegemony over the entire region.

Genocide and ethnic cleansing in the West Bank in a deliberate manner

In turn, writer and political analyst Imad Musa warns that Benjamin Netanyahu's far-right government is proceeding with its strategy of expanding settlements and practicing genocide and ethnic cleansing in a slow, deliberate manner, without attracting the attention of the international community, which is currently preoccupied with the genocidal crimes in Gaza.
Musa explains that the occupation never halted its settlement activities before October 7, 2023. Rather, their pace intensified after the outbreak of the war, as the Israeli government succeeded in distracting the international community from what was happening in Gaza while simultaneously working to consolidate settlement projects and Judaize more Palestinian lands in the West Bank.
Musa points out that Netanyahu's clear goal in this escalation is to appease the extremist settlers on whom he relies for his political alliance, ensuring his continued rule and regaining his power at the ballot box in the future. He notes that this plan will escalate further with any potential ceasefire agreement in Gaza.

Warning against repeating the scenario of the Dawabsheh and Abu Khdeir families

Musa asserts that the West Bank, particularly Palestinian villages and camps, will witness systematic destruction in the coming period, in a blatant attempt to undermine the right of return, erase the refugee issue from international political and legal memory, and implement colonial settlement plans.
Musa links this to the systematic attacks on the United Nations Relief and Works Agency for Palestine Refugees (UNRWA), which has been given the green light by settlers to engage in further violence against villages adjacent to the settlements.
Musa warns against a repeat of the previous arson attacks perpetrated by settlers against the Dawabsheh family in the village of Duma, south of Nablus, and the burning of the child Mohammed Abu Khudair in Jerusalem. He asserts that the lack of accountability has encouraged settlers to adopt this terrorist approach as a means of terrorizing Palestinians and forcing them to leave their land.

The occupation forces raided the home of Minister Mu'ayyad Shaaban in Tulkarm and arrested his son.

Israeli occupation forces stormed the home of the head of the Wall and Settlement Resistance Commission, Minister Mu'ayyad Shaaban, in the Dhnaba suburb east of Tulkarm, at dawn on Monday, and arrested his son Ibrahim (20 years old).

Local sources reported that Ibrahim was subjected to a field investigation by occupation soldiers, who asked him several questions about his father's activities.

It should be noted that Minister Shaaban was not present at the family home in Tulkarm during the raid, as he was staying at his home in Ramallah.

The raid followed calls by extremist settlers against Minister Shaaban, demanding that the occupation army arrest him for his recent participation in the removal of a settlement outpost established in the Wadi al-Haramiya area.

Olmert: Jews are killing Palestinians in the West Bank and committing war crimes.

Israeli Prime Minister Ehud Olmert said in an interview with Channel 13 the day before yesterday: “Jews are killing Palestinians every day in the West Bank. The hilltop youth are committing war crimes. These are not a minority. These are false allegations. They receive support, otherwise they wouldn’t be able to do this.” He said that the Israeli police and army are turning a blind eye to settlers burning Palestinian fields, and cited what Yossi Dagan, head of the settlement council, said at a woman’s funeral: “Let’s burn the Palestinian villages.”

He emphasized that when the world hears Finance Minister Bezalel Smotrich, Defense Minister Itamar Ben-Gvir, and National Security Minister Itamar Ben-Gvir talk about displacing Palestinians from the Gaza Strip and their support for settlers' actions in the West Bank, and does not hear the opposition confront these trends, it will adopt hostile positions toward Israel.

Commenting on the talks held by Benjamin Netanyahu in Washington, he said that he does not want to reach any agreement and does not want to return the kidnapped soldiers.

Dozens of settlers storm Al-Aqsa Mosque

Dozens of settlers stormed Al-Aqsa Mosque today, Monday, under heavy guard from the Israeli occupation police.

Eyewitnesses reported that settlers stormed Al-Aqsa Mosque in successive groups, conducted provocative tours of its courtyards, and performed Talmudic rituals amid a heavy presence of Israeli police.

According to the Islamic Waqf Department in Jerusalem, settlers carried out more than 25 raids during the month of June, following escalating calls from extremist Temple Mount groups. These groups regularly urge incursions into Al-Aqsa Mosque and perform Talmudic rituals within its courtyards, in an attempt to alter the historical and legal status of the blessed Al-Aqsa Mosque.

"We are aware of the killing of an American citizen!"

Dr. Ahmed Rafiq Awad

Thus, in cold, neutral language, devoid of even sympathy, understanding, or condemnation, the US State Department issued a statement following the killing of the 20-year-old Palestinian-American, Saif al-Din Muslat, by settlers attempting to seize his land in Sinjil on the 13th of this month.
The statement issued by the US State Department did not condemn the killing, nor did it mention its perpetrators, causes, or nature. The statement ignored the time, place, background, and motives, and appeared to be discussing the weather or currency exchange rates. It seems that the author of the statement realized that the citizen was American and that a position had to be taken, so he threw out a sentence that could be interpreted in many ways and absolved America and Israel of their responsibility. The author of the statement indicated that "questions related to any investigation should be directed to the government of Israel." He did not demand an investigation, neither urgent nor delayed, nor did he call for steps to protect American citizens. The statement lacked the most important points that should be present in it, namely: denunciation, condemnation, the formation of an investigative committee, and the repeated killing of American citizens by Israelis, whether soldiers or civilians.
This cold and neutral statement perfectly reflects the current US administration's general approach to the issue of settlements and settlers. Donald Trump invited settler leaders to his inauguration ceremony and greeted them. One of his first decisions upon entering the White House was to lift the sanctions imposed by Biden on a number of settlers. Ben-Gvir and Smotrich were also invited to Washington, where they were celebrated and honored. Furthermore, a religiously fanatical ambassador was appointed to Israel, who visited the Shiloh settlement and witnessed the red cows prepared to purify the Jewish population in preparation for the alleged construction of the Temple. This ambassador spoke in a language far removed from diplomacy or even respect for the public positions of previous US administrations. In addition, the current US administration has not condemned the widespread settlement activity currently taking place in the occupied West Bank, nor has it condemned the criminal acts carried out by settlers against Palestinian citizens.
A representative of the administration also met with the settler leaders, congratulated them, understood their positions, and encouraged others to meet with them as well, as if there was a desire to integrate them and prepare them for the coming stages. Anyone who only has two eyes cannot see that the settlers are now an unofficial arm for implementing an official policy aimed at annexation, displacement, and imposing a political and security solution on the West Bank. This was translated into what circles within the Likud Party and the settlement parties demanded, imposing sovereignty over the entire West Bank, exploiting the favorable political moment.
What is now being witnessed in terms of deepening settlement operations of all kinds and names and increasing the frequency of attacks on Palestinian villages and communities, is aimed at exploding the West Bank and luring the Palestinians into a square from which the settlers and the occupation government behind them will benefit in order to legitimize the annexation and officially declare it after they have actually established it on the ground. The settlers, who are no longer a marginal political body, do not hide their colonial goals, which are well-disguised with religious and theological claims. They have been able to control the current government in providing funding, protection, a legal structure, and political cover for the settlement and expulsion operations that have affected Area C and other parts of Area B as well. This means, among other things, that the settlement, as the settlers see it, and at least this government behind them, does not include a Palestinian state or even homogeneous self-rule. This assumes or requires bypassing the Palestinian National Authority, ignoring its role, and not dealing with it as if it does not exist. This Israeli position has found receptive ears in the current US administration, which has ignored the Palestinian Authority and has not dealt with or communicated with it, in a clear message that this administration It has abandoned all the commitments of previous US administrations. This administration even abandoned the two-state solution, saying it was just one option among others. While it's true that the US administration hasn't discussed the "Deal of the Century" in its previous form, it also hasn't acted on it or sent any signal indicating its desire to reach solutions in the occupied West Bank in particular.
The cold, neutral statement issued by the US State Department regarding the martyrdom of a Palestinian-American citizen reflects the nature of US policy toward the entire Palestinian people. It calls for the displacement of the Gaza Strip and the transformation of its ruins into a riviera, while supporting settlers in the West Bank and remaining silent about their crimes.
The overall picture, as presented, confirms what is said and written about the control of lobbies and pressure groups over American decision-making, at least with regard to the Palestinian-Israeli conflict. It is impossible to understand the American motives behind threatening the International Criminal Court, imposing sanctions on Ms. Albanese, using the veto against any attempt to cease fire in the Gaza Strip, and Trump’s retreat from his attempt to pressure Netanyahu during his last visit to Washington. To us, how weak and confused the White House appeared when it abandoned the opportunity to put an end to the insane war being waged against the Palestinian people.
Defending Israel and endorsing its positions in this manner not only harms the United States, its image, its values, and its people, but also harms international and humanitarian law. We call on the current US administration to review its positions and recognize the inalienable, inalienable, and undeniable rights of the Palestinian people. The first step to saving Israel from its predicament and madness is to recognize that there is a people called the Palestinian people.

Dr. Hussam Abu Safia is subjected to brutal torture in occupation prisons.

Attorney Ghadeh Ghanem Qassem said, after visiting Dr. Hussam Abu Safia a few days ago, that her client had lost approximately 40 kilograms, having previously weighed 100 kilograms and now weighing no more than 60 kilograms.

She explained in a post on her Facebook page that he was subjected to a violent assault, with blows to his chest, face, head, and neck, lasting approximately 30 minutes, causing him serious injuries.

She noted that the occupation authorities refused to provide him with the necessary treatment or medication, and refrained from referring him to a specialist doctor despite his dire need for medical care, especially since he suffers from an irregular heartbeat.

She added that Dr. Abu Safia continues to wear his heavy winter clothes despite the poor detention conditions, which include starvation, torture, and solitary confinement. She confirmed that he is being held in an underground cell that is not exposed to sunlight.

Dr. Hussam Abu Safia is a pediatrician from Jabalia camp in Gaza. He was born in 1973. He served as director of Kamal Adwan Hospital during the intense Israeli bombardment of the northern Gaza Strip. He lost his son, Ibrahim, in a direct attack targeting the hospital entrance and was injured by shrapnel from a drone. However, he continued to treat children despite the difficult circumstances.

In December 2024, he was arrested by occupation forces at the hospital gate and transferred to Sde Teiman Prison, where he was subjected to brutal torture, including beatings, electric shocks, and food and sleep deprivation. During his detention, he suffered four broken ribs and lost significant weight.

In March 2025, his administrative detention was extended for six months under the "Unlawful Combatant Law" without trial, and international organizations called for his immediate release, considering his life to be in real danger.
