Smotrich calls for the siege of Gaza's residents until their surrender or death by starvation.

In controversial statements, Israeli Finance Minister Bezalel Smotrich called for strict measures against the residents of the Gaza Strip, suggesting cutting off water and electricity as a means to pressure them into surrendering. This came during a discussion in a ministerial session that included Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu and military leaders, where the plan to occupy the city of Gaza was addressed.

During the meeting, Israeli Chief of Staff Eyal Zamir expressed concern over the inability to set a timeline for evacuating nearly a million civilians from the Gaza Strip, noting that the army does not guarantee cooperation from the residents in carrying out the orders. In this context, Smotrich's response was firm, emphasizing the necessity of starving the population until they surrender.

Netanyahu and the Minister of Defense did not intervene in the ongoing discussion, but they confirmed that the American support provided by President Donald Trump is not open-ended, and that he does not wish for a prolonged war. These statements reflect the increasing tensions in the region and the international pressure on the occupation.

In a related context, Israeli Defense Minister Israel Katz announced his approval of the army's plans to occupy the city of Gaza, which include heavy bombardment and the displacement of Palestinians. Katz affirmed that these plans aim to defeat Hamas, warning that the city would face a fate similar to Rafah and Beit Hanoun.

Katz also indicated that the Israeli army would employ a scorched earth policy against Gaza, which is home to over a million Palestinians. He stressed that conditions would deteriorate if Hamas does not agree to the terms of the occupation, including the release of all prisoners and disarmament.

Currently, three military units are operating in the Gaza Strip, and 60,000 reservists have been called up to report to their units on September 2nd. This call-up indicates a potential escalation in military operations against Gaza, as regular forces will be deployed there to participate in the plan to occupy the city.

Haaretz: The army warns of repercussions for its forces in the event of the destruction of Gaza City.

The Israeli army warned that fulfilling the government's demand to destroy the city of Gaza could take a year, which may lead to a crisis in the reserve forces facing a decline in mobilization and motivation to fight. This warning comes amid the ongoing aggression against the besieged Gaza Strip since October 7, 2023, which has resulted in a genocide that includes killing, starvation, and destruction.

According to military sources, carrying out a large-scale operation in the city of Gaza, similar to those conducted in Beit Hanoun and Rafah, could create a crisis within the reserve forces system. Chief of Staff Eyal Zamir confirmed that the army does not intend to launch an attack on the city until a zone is established to accommodate the residents, reflecting concerns about the repercussions of the military operation.

Reports indicate that fighting will not begin until the necessary operational and legal preparations are completed, despite pressure from Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu to expedite the process. So far, no areas have been established for the displacement of Palestinians, which requires infrastructure construction.

Military sources expect that evacuating the city of Gaza, home to about 1.2 million Palestinians, may take longer than the evacuation of Rafah, which was completed in two weeks. This delay could impact the army's plans and complicate the deteriorating humanitarian situation.

In a related context, Zamir presented a plan to the political leadership that allows the army to halt fighting quickly if negotiations with Hamas mature into an agreement that includes the release of prisoners and a ceasefire. Estimates suggest that there are 50 Israeli captives in Gaza, while more than 10,800 Palestinians in prisons suffer from harsh conditions.

Tension exists between senior military leaders and the political leadership regarding the Gaza City operation, as leaders fear for the lives of the hostages during the fighting. Political pressures are increasing, with ministers threatening to withdraw from the government if the operation to occupy Gaza City is not carried out.

The Israeli aggression against Gaza has resulted in the martyrdom of 62,622 Palestinians and the injury of 157,673 others, reflecting the scale of the humanitarian disaster afflicting the region. These figures indicate the necessity of taking urgent steps to end this aggression and achieve peace.

Israeli media: Entering Gaza with an occupation operation is the worst option.

Israeli analysts have warned of the dire consequences that could result from any military operation in the city of Gaza, noting that the cost will be high, both in terms of Israeli soldier casualties and the fate of the captives. These warnings come amid escalating tensions and mutual threats between the occupation and Hamas.

Amos Yadlin, the former head of military intelligence, emphasized the need for Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu to convince his people that he has an effective plan to bring back the captives while simultaneously defeating Hamas. This challenge requires him to persuade the mothers who send their sons to war that there is hope for success.

In a related context, the military affairs correspondent for Channel 13, Or Heller, pointed out that Gaza is full of surprises, as there are thousands of Palestinian resistance fighters preparing ambushes and using unexploded bombs to create explosive devices. These preparations indicate that the battle will be fierce.

Nir Dvori, the military affairs correspondent for Channel 12, added that any decision to approve an operation to occupy Gaza must be accompanied by full responsibility for the consequences. This warning reflects the growing concern about the repercussions of any military operation.

Yisrael Ze'ev, the former head of operations in the army, considers that entering Gaza with an occupation operation is the worst option, as fighting in a built-up area will lead to a large number of casualties and injuries, which will significantly affect the fate of the captives.

Ze'ev also noted that the occupation will not lead to a resolution, citing previous operations that did not achieve their objectives. This analysis reflects a lack of confidence in the occupation army's ability to achieve quick and effective victories.

At the same time, Netanyahu, who faces accusations of committing war crimes, approved the plan to occupy Gaza despite Hamas agreeing to the mediators' proposal for a ceasefire, complicating the situation further and reflecting a division in decision-making.

Israeli official: We do not know the number of Hamas forces, and the tunnels in Gaza are more complex

The Israeli occupation forces are facing significant challenges in achieving their military objectives as the attack on the city of Gaza begins. An Israeli military official indicated that the army is unaware of the true number of Hamas forces present in the city, reflecting a state of uncertainty in military planning.

The official also confirmed that the Hamas tunnel network is more complex than the occupation forces had anticipated, which increases the difficulty of military operations. These statements come at a sensitive time as the occupation seeks to take control of the city after two years of genocide and starvation.

In a related context, sources in the Israeli army warned the government that the destruction of the city of Gaza, both above and below ground, will take more than a year. Israeli Chief of Staff Eyal Zamir presented a plan that includes the possibility of halting combat as soon as an agreement is reached with Hamas.

It is noteworthy that there are disagreements between the army and the political leadership regarding how to deal with Israeli prisoners, as sources expressed concern about endangering these prisoners with the onset of the attack on the city.

Zamir also clarified that the army cannot estimate the time required to evacuate the city of Gaza within the framework of the new operation called 'Gideon's Chariots 2.'

In recent days, the 401st Brigade has returned to combat in Jabalia in northern Gaza, where it aims to target Hamas capabilities and destroy military infrastructure.

Despite Hamas agreeing to the mediators' proposal for a ceasefire, Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu approved a plan to occupy the city, raising fears of a new bloody escalation.

Human rights and humanitarian organizations are calling for an end to the aggression, warning of widespread displacement of the population in Gaza, which numbers nearly one million, including those who have been displaced previously.

Since October 2023, the occupying state has been waging a genocide against the residents of the Gaza Strip, resulting in over 62,000 martyrs and 157,000 injured, amid a disregard for international calls to stop the war.

"The Gaza Conference" kicks off in Istanbul.. Scholars from 50 countries consider the disaster a moral test.

The conference "Gaza: An Islamic and Human Responsibility" launched in Istanbul with the participation of dozens of scholars and thinkers from around the world, who considered what is happening in the Gaza Strip not just a war, but "the most dangerous disaster in modern history." This was stated in the opening statement presented in three languages, reflecting the humanitarian and global dimension of the Palestinian issue.

The Secretary-General of the International Union of Muslim Scholars, Ali Mohiuddin Al-Qaradaghi, delivered the statement in Arabic, while the head of Turkey's Religious Affairs, Ali Erbaş, presented it in Turkish, and the director of the International Jerusalem Foundation, Ayman Zidan, delivered it in English. The attendees emphasized the necessity of confronting what they described as "genocide" faced by more than two and a half million people in Gaza.

The statement warned that the Israeli project extends beyond the borders of Gaza, targeting "the swallowing of more Arab and Islamic lands" under the banner of "Greater Israel." The conference affirmed that the responsibility to confront these policies does not rest solely on the Palestinians, but on the entire Islamic world.

The conference, organized by the International Union of Muslim Scholars and the Scholars of Islam Foundation in Turkey, attracted nearly a hundred senior religious scholars from fifty countries. Eighteen workshops are scheduled to discuss issues related to halting aggression and opening humanitarian corridors.

The conference activities began in front of the mosque of the companion Abu Ayyub Al-Ansari, where participants intend to form delegations to visit leaders and heads of Islamic and international states, aiming to pressure for the conference's objectives, including stopping attacks and breaking the siege.

The conference will conclude its activities on August 29 of this month, with a final statement announced from in front of the Hagia Sophia Grand Mosque after Friday prayers. This step aims to send a strong message from the heart of Istanbul to the world that Gaza is not alone, and that the responsibility to protect it and support its people is a religious, moral, and humanitarian duty.

The government operations room calls for effective international action to stop the famine in Gaza.

The Palestinian government and the government operations room for emergency interventions in the southern governorates confirmed that the report from the United Nations famine review committee indicates that the Gaza governorate has entered a state of complete famine, reflecting the scale of the humanitarian disaster that our people in the sector are experiencing.

This statement came as a confirmation of what Prime Minister Mohammad Mustafa announced in a previous press conference, where he indicated that the ongoing Israeli blockade is the main reason for Gaza entering a state of famine, due to the prevention of food, medicine, and humanitarian aid from entering.

Gaza, especially children and the elderly, is facing an unprecedented humanitarian crisis as a result of the starvation policy pursued by the occupation forces, where starvation has been used as a weapon of war to exterminate civilians and deprive them of basic life necessities.

The government warned of the rapid spread of hunger and malnutrition in all governorates of the sector, and called on the international community and the free people of the world to take urgent action to stop the policy of starvation and genocide.

The government demanded that the United Nations Security Council, unions, parliaments, and civil society organizations exert pressure on their governments to stop supporting the occupation and impose punitive measures against it.

The government emphasized the necessity of a unified stance and collective movements to save what remains of life in the Gaza Strip, and to raise the voice high to stop the genocide and starvation war against the Palestinian people.

President of Ireland: The genocide in Gaza is a historical tragedy and a threat to democracy.

The Irish President Michael D. Higgins described the Israeli genocide of Palestinians in Gaza as a "tragic period" in world history, noting that it poses a threat to democracy. This came amid a wave of global condemnations of Israel, especially after the United Nations officially declared a state of famine in the city.

In an interview with Irish radio, Higgins emphasized the presence of three members in the Israeli government who seek illegitimacy and disregard international law, pointing out that Israel aims to sever the connection between the West Bank and Gaza. He explained that a "world of impunity" represents the gravest threat to democracy.

The Irish president also called for a global affirmation of the role of the United Nations General Assembly in light of the genocide recognized by Israel in Gaza. He highlighted the importance of activating Chapter Seven of the UN Charter, which allows the Secretary-General to call for the formation of a force to ensure the delivery of humanitarian aid.

Higgins, who is preparing to step down after more than a decade in office, expressed his condemnation of the famine in Gaza, noting that this announcement was not surprising given the tragic conditions in the enclave. The Integrated Food Security Phase Classification, supported by the United Nations, has declared a famine outbreak in Gaza.

In Western reactions, Canadian International Development Minister Randeep Sarai stated that Israeli military actions have led to a devastating reality of famine for Palestinians in Gaza, expressing his concern over the deteriorating conditions and the rising civilian death toll, especially among children.

In the Netherlands, the government witnessed several resignations in protest against the failure to impose sanctions on Israel due to the genocide and starvation war in Gaza. Since October 2023, Israel has been waging a genocide against the residents of the Gaza Strip, including killing, starvation, destruction, and forced displacement, ignoring international calls to cease the aggression.

Recent statistics indicate that the genocide has resulted in over 62,000 martyrs and 157,000 injured, while 281 Palestinians have died due to starvation, including 114 children, according to the Ministry of Health in Gaza.

5 Dead due to the occupation's shelling and gunfire in Gaza

Five Palestinian citizens were killed today, Sunday, and others were injured as a result of shelling and gunfire by Israeli occupation forces in several areas of the Gaza Strip. This aggression comes at a time when Israeli violations against Palestinian civilians are increasing.

According to ambulance and emergency teams, one citizen was martyred and others were injured while waiting for aid near a distribution center north of Rafah city, reflecting the deteriorating humanitarian situation in the besieged enclave.

A medical source at Al-Awda Hospital reported that three citizens were martyred and others were injured by the occupation forces' gunfire while waiting for aid near the Netzarim junction in the center of the Gaza Strip, indicating the deliberate targeting of civilians by the occupation.

In another incident, a female citizen was killed due to shelling by the occupation that targeted a school in the Zeitoun neighborhood southeast of Gaza City, where students and teachers were present, highlighting the danger to education in the enclave.

At the same time, the occupation's warplanes carried out an airstrike near Al-Shafi'i Mosque in the Zeitoun neighborhood, resulting in the destruction of parts of the mosque and injuring several citizens who were nearby.

Local sources reported that the occupation's artillery shelled several areas east of Gaza City, coinciding with the demolition of residential buildings in the southern part of the city, leading to the destruction of homes and the displacement of their residents.

This escalation comes amid the ongoing siege imposed on the Gaza Strip, which exacerbates the suffering of citizens and complicates humanitarian relief efforts.

The United States remains silent regarding the Gaza famine report.

The report issued by the Food Security Expert Committee, revealing a famine in parts of Gaza, has sparked outrage among many European countries, with the exception of the United States, the main supporter of Israel.

A group of international experts announced on Friday that the city of Gaza and its surrounding areas are officially suffering from famine, nearly two years into the ongoing war and continuous blockade that has prevented Israel from allowing most food and other aid into the Gaza Strip.

The group, relied upon by the United Nations and relief agencies to monitor and classify global hunger crises, stated that at least half a million people in the Gaza Governorate are facing the most severe conditions measured: hunger, acute malnutrition, and death.

The White House and the U.S. State Department have not yet commented on the report, which blamed Israeli restrictions on aid, among other factors, for the famine. Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu described the report on Friday as a "blatant lie," stating that Israel has "made unprecedented efforts to enable aid to reach enemy territory."

Mike Huckabee, the U.S. ambassador to Israel, echoed what Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu said on social media. He wrote on X: "Tons of food have entered Gaza, but Hamas savages stole it, and they ate large amounts of it to the point of obesity."

The issuance of the report capped a week in which the Trump administration supported Netanyahu's government on several issues or remained largely silent, even as many of Israel's allies increasingly condemned its actions in harsh terms.

Last week, the Israeli occupying government approved a settlement project in the central occupied West Bank, which Israeli Finance Minister Bezalel Smotrich said "buries the idea of a Palestinian state." In defiance of international calls to end the war, Netanyahu's government is moving forward with a plan to invade the city of Gaza, where hundreds of thousands of Palestinian citizens have taken refuge.

Experts believe that U.S. pressure is one of the few remaining levers that could convince Netanyahu to change Israel's behavior in the nearly two-year war on Gaza. Aaron David Miller, a former U.S. diplomat who participated in negotiations between Israelis and Palestinians during the 1990s, stated on a local Washington radio station that Netanyahu "is clearly more comfortable with the fact that Donald Trump will not impose costs or consequences that would exert real pressure" on Israel.

At times, U.S. President Donald Trump seemed willing to distance himself from Netanyahu, having struck a deal with Iran-backed Houthis (according to the U.S.) to stop attacks on ships, and negotiating directly with Hamas to secure the release of American hostages. In late July, he publicly stated that he believed there was a famine in Gaza, but Trump and Netanyahu have now become increasingly aligned on Gaza, as Trump focuses his attention on efforts to end the war between Russia and Ukraine.

After seven months of the Trump administration, ordinary residents of Gaza are facing one of their toughest moments since the war began in October 2023. According to relief agencies, severe hunger is widespread. Tess Ingram, a spokesperson for UNICEF, the United Nations Children's Fund, stated on Friday: "This is not a crisis of a few isolated children; every child is at risk."

After months of warnings, the "Integrated Food Security Phase Classification," a committee of food security experts supported by the United Nations, announced on Friday that it found that the city of Gaza and its surrounding areas are suffering from famine. The report warned that central and southern Gaza may also face famine by September.

Israel has confirmed that it is doing its utmost to deliver food to Gaza, noting that prices in local markets have decreased since Israel began pumping more aid into the sector in late July. Israeli officials claimed they allowed sufficient quantities of food into Gaza, but relief agencies were unable to distribute it properly.

Israel and the United States have also supported their own initiative to provide aid in Gaza through the "Gaza Humanitarian Foundation (GHF)," which has faced severe criticism, as American security contractors oversee the distribution of food boxes at sites behind Israeli military lines. The Israeli occupation army has killed more than 1,400 aid seekers at the four distribution centers of the "Gaza Humanitarian Foundation (GHF)," according to reports from health officials in Gaza, officials from international relief organizations, and even from the contractors themselves.

Many of Israel's other traditional allies, including Britain, have expressed skepticism about Israel's response to the report.

On the 688th day of the genocide in Gaza: 58 dead and Al-Qassam targets tanks.

On the 688th day of the genocide being waged by the occupying entity against the Gaza Strip, the death toll has risen to 58 Palestinians, who were killed as a result of the shelling and airstrikes that targeted various areas of the strip in the past hours. These massacres come at a time when the occupying army continues its military operations by blowing up residential buildings in Gaza City.

Medical sources reported that the intense bombardment the strip has faced resulted in the martyrdom of 58 Palestinians since dawn on Saturday, further increasing the suffering of the Palestinian people under the imposed siege. These massacres coincided with the occupation forces demolishing and destroying several residential buildings in the city.

On the resistance front, the Al-Qassam Brigades, the military wing of Hamas, announced that its fighters managed to target two tanks belonging to the occupying army with powerful explosives south of the Zeitoun neighborhood. This response reflects the strength of the resistance despite the ongoing aggression.

The assaults by the occupation were not limited to the Gaza Strip but extended to the occupied West Bank, where a Palestinian was injured by the gunfire of the occupation forces in the town of Al-Ram north of Jerusalem, while occupation soldiers stormed the town of Beit Awwa west of the city of Dora south of Hebron, escalating tensions in the occupied areas.

In an official acknowledgment, the occupying army revealed that the number of its officers and soldiers killed since the beginning of the war has risen to 899, including 455 who were killed during the ground operation in the Gaza Strip. The military statement also indicated that 167 officers and soldiers are currently receiving treatment for injuries sustained in the battles in Gaza.

On the political front, Hamas praised what it described as the 'brave' stance of the Dutch Foreign Minister and his colleagues, who resigned due to their refusal to impose sanctions on the occupying entity. The movement called on world governments in a statement to boycott the occupying entity and punish it, and to pressure it to stop what it described as the 'crime of genocide and starvation' against the Palestinian people.

Starvation in Gaza: When Food Becomes a Weapon of Extermination

Ben Ma'mar Al-Hajj

Ben Ma'mar Al-Hajj

Opinion Writer

In a precedent unprecedented in the history of the Arab-Israeli conflict, the United Nations officially declared a state of famine in the Gaza Strip, marking this moment as one of the darkest and bloodiest pages in modern history. This is not merely an emergency humanitarian disaster, but a direct result of a Zionist political project that transforms hunger and thirst into tools of genocide. This famine is not the result of an overwhelming natural circumstance or a disaster caused by nature; rather, it is the outcome of systematic engineering and strategic planning led by the Israeli entity as part of its old-new project, the "Greater Israel" project, which does not hesitate to crush millions under the stones of its ambitions. The famine today in Gaza is not just a food crisis; it is an organic part of the occupation machine that kills with swords, bullets, and bombs, and kills silently through starvation, deprivation, and disease. This crime adds to a long series of crimes against humanity committed by this entity since its implantation in the body of the region. Systematic starvation is merely the other face of a siege that has lasted for many years on Gaza, where the occupation even determined the caloric intake allowed into the sector, in an inhumane process that turned people's lives into cold equations on the tables of the occupation army leaders. Today, with the UN's announcement of a state of famine, the mask is fully lifted from the occupation project, which has not only been satisfied with killing children under the rubble, forcibly displacing families, or destroying infrastructure entirely, but has gone further to turn a loaf of bread into a luxury, a drop of water into a tool of extortion, and medicine into a distant dream. This UN announcement exposes to the whole world that what is happening in Gaza is not just a war, but explicit genocide, genocide practiced through various methods that begin with bombardment and end with starvation, leaving the Palestinian chased even in his biological right to exist. Nevertheless, international condemnation remains, as usual, a faint voice that does not rise to the magnitude of the crime, while Western powers continue to provide political cover and military and financial support to the occupying entity, in a scene that reflects blatant hypocrisy and double standards that undermine all remaining credibility of human rights and international justice slogans.

What is happening today in Gaza is inseparable from the displacement project that the occupation seeks to impose by force. Famine is a tool used to push people to leave their land, to abandon their destroyed homes, to flee into the unknown. It is a link in the series of uprooting Palestinians from their roots and completely reoccupying Gaza within an expansionist colonial vision that sees the Palestinian only as an obstacle to be removed. However, history has proven that this people, who were not broken by the Nakba of 1948, nor by the defeat of 1967, nor by invasions or repeated wars, will not be broken by a policy of starvation either. The Palestinian who turns rubble into temporary homes will also turn a piece of dry bread into fuel for steadfastness. Yet, a crime remains a crime, and silence about it is complicity, while turning a blind eye is a betrayal of all human values.

Algeria, which has always carried the banner of defending the Palestinian cause in international forums, was clear in its recent statement when it strongly condemned these criminal policies and considered them part of a comprehensive genocide war, affirming that what is happening in Gaza is nothing but a literal implementation of the "Greater Israel" project that threatens the entire region. Maintaining the components of the two-state solution has become an existential necessity to save what remains of hope for a just and lasting settlement. However, the truth is that this solution itself is eroding under the weight of daily crimes, unless the international community acts seriously to put an end to the occupation machine and stop the bleeding of blood and hunger in Gaza before the sector turns into an open mass grave. Algeria has clearly stated that it will continue its efforts in the Security Council to support the Palestinian people and push towards ending this unprecedented catastrophe. This position is not new for Algeria, but today it takes on a more urgent dimension, as Gaza stands on the brink of collective annihilation, and because the occupation uses the weapon of hunger with boundless audacity before the eyes of the world.

The declaration of famine in Gaza is a moment of resounding moral collapse for the international system and for the United Nations itself, which is content with statements and lacks the courage to enforce its decisions, while the occupation continues to commit the most heinous crimes in broad daylight, amidst an official international silence that amounts to complicity. How can the world understand that children in Gaza are dying of thirst and hunger in the twenty-first century while Israeli planes, supported by the US and Europe, continue to bomb hospitals, schools, and food warehouses? How can this be called anything other than described genocide? Famine is not a side effect of war; it is a weapon in itself, a weapon invented by

Colonizers prevent citizens from working on their lands in the northern Jordan Valley.

In a new violation of Palestinian rights, settlers today, Sunday, prevented several citizens from working on their agricultural lands in the northern Jordan Valley. These assaults come as part of a systematic policy aimed at displacing Palestinians from their lands.

Local sources reported that the settlers expelled one citizen from his land in Khillat Khadr al-Farisiya, where he was preparing it for the upcoming agricultural season. This assault reflects the rising tensions in the area, which has seen an increase in attacks by settlers in recent years.

It is noteworthy that the Israeli occupation forced many Palestinian families last year to leave their homes in the northern Jordan Valley, leading to the depopulation of the area from Palestinian presence. This policy aligns with settlement goals that seek to control Palestinian lands.

The northern Jordan Valley is considered a strategic area, known for its fertile lands, making it a target for settlers seeking to seize it. However, Palestinians continue to resist and cling to their lands despite the significant challenges.

These violations require urgent international action to pressure the occupation to stop its assaults and protect the rights of Palestinians in their lands. The international silence on these violations perpetuates them and increases the suffering of the Palestinian people.

UNRWA warns through "Roya": Gaza is suffering from severe famine caused by the occupation, and 132,000 children are facing malnutrition.

The media advisor for the United Nations Relief and Works Agency for Palestine Refugees in the Near East (UNRWA), Adnan Abu Hasna, sounded the alarm about the humanitarian situation in the Gaza Strip, confirming that "Gaza residents are suffering from a very severe famine" caused by the occupation. These statements come at a time when Gaza is enduring harsh humanitarian conditions due to the ongoing blockade.

Abu Hasna clarified that the Gaza Strip "has exceeded more than the internationally recognized criteria for famine," noting that the repercussions of this humanitarian disaster "have significantly mobilized the international community." He emphasized that the situation requires an urgent response from the international community to save lives.

What is urgently required from the occupation is to allow the entry of relief trucks through all crossings, as UNRWA has 6,000 trucks loaded with humanitarian aid ready for immediate entry into the sector. This amount is "sufficient to feed the residents of Gaza for months," but it needs the occupation's permission.

Abu Hasna criticized the exclusion of UNRWA from the distribution of the few aid shipments currently entering, which exacerbates the difficulty of delivering aid to those in need. This exclusion increases the suffering of the population who are in dire need of assistance.

In conclusion, Abu Hasna warned that any ground invasion of Gaza would lead to "a severe deterioration of health conditions" that would be uncontrollable. He pointed out that there is "a global movement to change the circumstances surrounding Gaza," expressing hope that this movement translates into real pressure to open the crossings and end the famine.

Chicago: Weekly protests continue demanding the cessation of U.S. support for Israel.

The weekly marches organized by communities supporting the Palestinian cause continued in Chicago, Illinois, where demonstrators gathered in several locations to emphasize their main demand for an end to U.S. support for the occupying state. These demonstrations come at a sensitive time, as violations against Palestinians in the Gaza Strip are increasing.

The demonstrators expressed their dissatisfaction with the ongoing U.S. military and financial support for the occupying state, asserting that this support contributes to the continuation of genocide against Palestinians. Participants in the demonstrations raised slogans calling for an end to this support, emphasizing the need for the United States to be part of the solution, not part of the problem.

The demonstrators stressed that these weekly gatherings reflect their firm rejection of what is happening in Gaza, where Palestinians are subjected to continuous assaults, affirming that their popular movement will continue until justice is achieved for the Palestinian people. They also expressed their determination to keep the Palestinian cause present in the American street.

One participant in the demonstration stated: 'We are here to tell the world that we will not remain silent about the massacres being committed against our brothers in Gaza. Our voice must be heard, and U.S. aid to the occupying state must stop.'

The demonstrators also highlighted the importance of international solidarity with the Palestinian cause, asserting that popular pressure can lead to real political changes. They considered the continuation of these demonstrations to be a strong message to the U.S. government that there is widespread popular opposition to its policies towards Palestine.

It is worth noting that these demonstrations are not new; they are part of an ongoing movement expressing solidarity with the Palestinian people, and recent years have seen an increase in the number of participants, indicating a growing awareness of the Palestinian cause in American society.

Is there a moral majority in Israel?

According to almost all public opinion polls in Israel, up to 80% of Israelis want the war in Gaza to end and want all of the Israeli hostages to be brought home. This large majority exists with the knowledge that ending the war means that Hamas might remain the ruling power in Gaza. The majority of Israelis know that a deal with Hamas to end the war and to bring the hostages homes also include the release of what might be more than a few thousand Palestinian prisoners, including about 200 who are sentenced to life in prison for murdering Israelis. After 22 months of war, the majority of Israelis want it to end. But how much of the demand to end the war has a moral base to it? Do Israelis still believe that the Israeli army is the most moral army in the world? Do Israelis believe that there is no starvation in Gaza caused by Israel? Do the Israelis believe that Israel is innocent of committing war crimes in Gaza? Crime against humanity? Genocide? Do the Israelis believe that Israel is also not committing war crimes in the West Bank where it is in fact engaged in deFacto annexation, which is explicitly against international law? Do Israelis care about international law? Do Israelis understand that what is being done by Israel, its government and its army is being done in their names and on their behalf?

Israelis have had a very high regard for their country and for themselves.  Israel’s achievements since its birth in 1948 are nothing short of a miracle. There are a lot of things to be proud of in Israel as Israelis. The rebirth of the Hebrew language, the development of a vibrant, exciting and compelling Israeli Hebrew culture of music, theater, literature, and culinary delights. The emergence of Israel as a high-tech giant with a booming economy (at the macro level). Israel has also been a vibrant liberal democracy for many years, enjoyed particularly by its 80% Jewish majority, much less so by its 20% Palestinian Arab minority. And the military might of Israel is also something that Israelis are very proud of. Israel has developed and lived by many national myths which have become part of the national ethos  - the few against the many, the weak against the strong, the moral against the immoral, and that we never leave anyone behind. In reality, Israel is very strong – much stronger than all of its enemies combined. But Israel does leave soldiers and now civilians behind. Israel abandoned its citizens and its border on October 7 2023. There is no such thing as a moral army, and let’s face it – it is very difficult to find an ounce of morality in what Israel has been doing in Gaza over the past 22 months. We are no longer the weak against the strong and we have to question very seriously if we are the moral against the immoral.

Today Israel is accused by the IPC   -The Integrated Food Security Phase Classification (IPC) which is the most senior United Nations watchdog on hunger and famine, of being responsible for famine in Gaza. IPC defines famine as an extreme deprivation of food. Starvation, death, destitution and extremely critical levels of acute malnutrition are or will likely be evident. According to the IPC report, over half a million people in the Gaza Strip are facing catastrophic conditions characterised by starvation, destitution and death. Another 1.07 million people (54 percent) are in Emergency (IPC Phase 4), and 396,000 people (20 percent) are in Crisis (IPC Phase 3). Israel of course denies the validity of the report, calls it lies and distortion and undoubtedly members of the Israeli government and the Prime Minister himself will call it an antisemitic report. There is no reason whatsoever to believe the Israeli response. Israel can provide no evidence that the report is false. If Israel wants to prove that it is false, all it has to do is open the borders of Gaza for international journalists to enter Gaza with the uninhibited ability to move around, to get the facts and the pictures, not be embedded with the Israeli army, but doing the job that Israel has prevented them from doing for 22 months. These journalists would go in with the knowledge that they are entering an active war zone and without Israeli protection, but also with the knowledge that Israel will not be intentionally targeting them, as it has done with Palestinian Gazan journalists. Let the truth come out – this is my response to the Israeli denials.

What Israel and its army are doing in Gaza is being done in my name because I am an Israeli citizen. Because I am completely opposed to what Israel is doing in my name, I have the responsibility and the obligation to call it out for what it is: war crimes, crimes against humanity and genocide. Israel is not doing in Gaza what the Nazis did to the Jews in Europe during World War II.  And the definition of genocide is not determined by the number of people killed.  But there are more than 60,000 people killed in Gaza. We don’t know how many of them were combatants – e.i. legitimate targets, but we do know that a majority of those killed were non-combatants, tens of thousands of women, children, elderly people. Israel has eased the cities of Khan Yunis, Rafah, Beit Lahia, Beit Hanoun and now is in the process of doing the same to Gaza city, the rest of Jabalia, Nussierat, Deir elBalah and more. Gaza has been rendered uninhabitable for its 2.2+ million inhabitants.  Israel has destroyed the infrastructure of roads, electricity, water, and sewage. Israel has demolished most schools, hospitals, universities, government buildings, courthouses, mosques, churches, and public buildings. Israeli contractors are being paid per building demolished under the protection of the Israeli army. More than 2 million people are homeless and are living in tents or in semi-demolished buildings. Now those living in and around Gaza city are being pushed into the 15% of Gaza in the southwest corner of the strip where this pressure cooker of humanitarian disaster will explode.

It seems that most Israelis don’t want to know this. They don’t want to hear it. They certainly don’t want to see it. The mainstream Israeli media is mostly complicit in what the government and the army are doing by open denial, by self-censorship, and by direct instructions of the editors and the owners of the media not to show it or to call it lies and antisemitism. Israel is becoming or has already become the most hated country in the world.  But the knee-jerk response that all of the criticism and hatred of Israel is blatant antisemitism enables Israelis a and their government to push the legitimate criticism against Israel off the table. They simply say: the world hates Jews and has always hated Jews.  Israelis then feel relieved because the criticism of almost the entire world has nothing to do with what Israel is doing, it is antisemitism. This is the lies that Israelis tell themselves. There are antisemites among those who criticize Israel, but almost all of the criticism of Israel is justified and has nothing to do with antisemitism.

When the Australian Prime Minister denied the visa to right wing anti-democratic messianic fanatic Member of Knesset Simcha Rothman it had nothing to do with antisemitism. It was because Rothman was invited by a right-wing extremist Australian Jewish organization that most of the Jewish community of Australia oppose and because the visit of this hate filled extremist would cause public unrest and possible unnecessary strife between Jewish and Arab or Muslim Australian citizens.   When French President Macron announced plans to recognize the State of Palestine, he was called antisemitic and his act of recognizing Palestine as being antisemitic.  It is not, and he is not. Macron has done more for the Israeli hostages that most of the members of the Israeli government. Macron and France aided Israel in its attacks against Iran. Macron and France memorialized French Jewish citizens killed on October 7 with a great deal of respect and honor that should be recognized by Israelis as true friendship.

If there is a moral majority in Israel, and I want to believe that there is one, it is now time to stop being a silent moral majority. It is not enough to demonstrate for the release of the hostages. This is very important, but it is not enough. We, the moral majority in Israel have a responsibility to ourselves, to our peoplehood, to our legacy as Jews and to our future as Israelis to stop the war in Gaza and to bring down our government. We can no longer stand silent in the face of the war crimes that our army is committing in Gaza. I know how difficult it is for us to see our army and our soldiers as anything less than heroes. It is now time for us to tell our heroes that the only heroism now called for is that which sees the huge black flag hanging over everything that we are doing in Gaza. The black flag is the illegality of our actions and the immorality of what Israel is trying to achieve in Gaza. The same black flag is flying over the crimes being committed by Israel in the West Bank with the forced removal of Palestinian communities in the Jordan valley and in the Hebron hills. It is flying over the continuation of the settlement building and the confiscation of Palestinian land all over the West Bank.  The black flag is flying high above our heads and we cannot ignore it.

If we as Israelis don’t do everything possible to stop the war in Gaza, then we are in fact complicit in what Israel is doing in Gaza and in the West Bank. This stain will stay with us for years to come. The Netanyahu legacy will be personally attached to him as the worst leader of the Jewish people in all times. His legacy will also stick to all of us and this period of our history will be labeled the dark age of Israel. We have a chance to change that. Our behavior as citizens at this time now, will determine the extent of our morality and the extent of our humanity. We can either continue to be silent or we can all, each an everyone of us in our way, do something to save our souls as a nation and to save our country from our leaders.

The occupation arrests four citizens from Nablus.

Early this Sunday, Israeli occupation forces carried out a large-scale incursion in the city of Nablus, where they arrested four Palestinian citizens. This operation comes as part of the ongoing escalation of the occupation against Palestinians in various areas.

Security sources reported that the occupation forces raided several homes in the city, searched them, and tampered with their contents, leading to a state of terror and anxiety among the residents. Among the detainees were Anwar Fathi Mani, who was arrested from the Al-Ma'ajin neighborhood, and Muhammad Ayman Abu Sir from the northern mountain area.

The occupation forces also stormed the Balata refugee camp east of Nablus, where they arrested Nazmi Hashash and his son Imad. These arrests come at a sensitive time, as Palestinians are suffering from an increase in violations and assaults by the occupation.

It is noteworthy that the occupation forces did not limit themselves to arrests but also stormed several towns and villages in Nablus Governorate, reflecting the continuity of the occupation's policy of targeting Palestinians on a daily basis.

The arrests carried out by the occupation forces underscore the urgent need for the international community to intervene and stop these ongoing violations, which negatively impact the lives of Palestinians and increase their suffering.

Gaza Court: An International Human Rights Initiative to Investigate Occupation Crimes

The "Gaza Court" initiative was launched in November 2024 in London, led by Richard Falk, with the aim of investigating war crimes committed by the occupying state against the Palestinian people since October 7, 2023. This initiative represents a response to the demands of human rights activists and academics from around the world.

The court was established in response to a request made by Turkish activists during the Islamic Cooperation Youth Forum in May 2024. The request was directed to Falk and his wife, Hala Elfer, where the independence of the initiative from any governmental influence was emphasized.

Falk, known for his critical stance against the occupation, confirmed that the United Nations and the United States showed no desire to stop the aggression against Gaza. From here, planning began to organize the court as a civil body aimed at achieving justice.

In October 2024, the court began its preparatory meetings with the attendance of about 100 people, and the initiative was officially launched in November of the same year. In May 2025, the court began its public sessions in Sarajevo to gather evidence and hear testimonies from victims.

The "Gaza Court" aims to create an alternative and independent platform to achieve justice for the Palestinian people, seeking to investigate serious human rights violations, including genocide, and document historical events.

The structure of the court consists of a presidential committee comprising 8 members, in addition to 3 main chambers that carry out the work: the International Law Chamber, the International Relations Chamber, and the History and Philosophy Chamber.

The court relies on individual donations and support from international organizations, while ensuring transparency in the management of financial resources. Many Palestinian non-governmental organizations also participate in the court's activities.

The court seeks to utilize the political tools available within the United Nations, including reviving the Union for Peace resolution, as a means to break the international political deadlock in addressing the crimes committed in Palestine.

The death of international law in Gaza!!

The signs of the death of international humanitarian and non-humanitarian law are evident in Gaza, where it seems that all the charters and resolutions presented were merely a cover to achieve the interests of major powers. These powers have only intervened in humanitarian crises when such interventions align with their strategic goals.

In the past, we have witnessed interventions in countries like Rwanda, Libya, and Sudan, where international law was used as a tool to achieve political and economic interests, while the peoples were left to suffer the ravages of wars and occupation.

Today, we find that the United Nations and its regional organizations issue statements and declarations without any real impact on the ground. The announcement of a famine in Gaza has not translated into practical steps to stop the aggression or provide the necessary assistance.

Statements from world leaders, including the president of the largest country, confirm a lack of respect for international law, even calling for the continuation of occupation and aggression. This raises questions about the effectiveness of adhering to international laws in light of this reality.

In recent decades, we have seen a noticeable decline in respect for the rights of peoples to self-determination, where the logic of power has replaced the law. This change reflects a shift in international relations towards the dominance of Western powers.

However, there is a glimmer of hope represented by the rise of new powers like China, which has proven its ability to confront Western challenges. Can we benefit from its experience in building a better future for oppressed peoples?

Gaza today is not just a battleground of suffering, but a symbol of resistance and steadfastness. The people of Gaza await victory through their ongoing struggle, not by waiting for international justice that has not come.

History teaches us that peoples only triumph through patience and sacrifices. Will we be able to draw lessons from the experiences of others to build a better future?

In the end, the question remains: what next? How can we as Palestinians rebuild ourselves and reject domination? Gaza may be the beginning, but the road is long and requires strong determination and will.

Resignations of Dutch ministers due to the stance on the aggression against Gaza.

All members of the Dutch government from the "New Social Contract" party announced their resignation from the caretaker government, just one day after the resignation of Foreign Minister Kaspar Veldkamp. These resignations came as a result of the government's failure to impose sanctions on the Israeli occupation due to its ongoing aggression against the Gaza Strip since October 2023.

The "NOS" television channel reported that the resigning ministers, including the acting Deputy Prime Minister and the acting Ministers of Interior and Education, as well as the acting Minister of Health, made this decision in solidarity with the position of the resigning minister. The party confirmed that the lack of consensus within the government regarding the imposition of additional sanctions against the Israeli occupation was a major driving force behind the resignation.

In previous statements, Veldkamp indicated that the government does not support taking additional measures against the Israeli occupation due to its war on Gaza and its settlement plans in the occupied West Bank, which led to his feeling of resistance within the cabinet.

The People's Party for Freedom and Democracy responded to the resignations, expressing surprise at the withdrawal of the "New Social Contract" party at a time when negotiations were ongoing. The party considered this action to leave the government in a state of chaos and weaken its ability to take effective measures against Netanyahu's government.

The Dutch government collapsed in early July, and it is expected that the caretaker government will remain until a coalition government is formed after the elections scheduled for next October, which may take months.

These resignations reflect the rising tension within European political circles regarding the policies of the Israeli occupation in the Gaza Strip and the West Bank, and demonstrate the increasing impact of mass protests in Europe against the aggression on Gaza.

In a related context, the Islamic Resistance Movement (Hamas) praised Minister Veldkamp's position and his resignation along with several ministers, considering that this stance embodies humanitarian values and reflects an awareness of the importance of taking action to stop the aggression.

The movement added that the United Nations' announcement of famine in the Gaza Strip imposes on those with a conscience the obligation to make every effort to boycott the occupation and punish it, and to pressure it to stop the ongoing crime of genocide and starvation.

Global newspapers: The declaration of famine in Gaza supports the work of the "International Criminal Court" against Netanyahu.

The United Nations officially announced a famine in the Gaza Strip, which some global newspapers considered a diplomatic setback for the occupying state. This announcement comes at a time when international pressure on the Israeli government is increasing, and it strengthens the case filed against Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu at the International Criminal Court.

The 'New York Times' noted the official American silence regarding this announcement, pointing out that the American president has not yet commented on the UN report despite previous indications about the humanitarian situation in Gaza. This silence reflects a sense of relief for Netanyahu, who seems not to feel real pressure from Washington.

In a related context, the British newspaper 'Independent' quoted an American doctor who volunteered in Gaza, stating that the level of hunger in the sector has exceeded expected limits, with residents suffering from a severe shortage of calories. This situation is reflected in the health of patients, who show signs of severe emaciation.

Human rights experts also indicated that the UN's acknowledgment of famine in Gaza will strengthen the prosecution's case against Netanyahu and his former defense minister at the International Criminal Court. This could open the door for further legal actions against Israeli officials.

On the other hand, the 'Financial Times' revealed discontent within the Boston Consulting Group, which oversees the distribution of aid in Gaza, after discovering its role in establishing an aid program supported by the occupation. This reflects the complexities facing relief efforts under the current circumstances.

In Israel, officials estimate that Netanyahu does not intend to halt military operations in Gaza but seeks to continue them until the end. This decision reflects his concern about the disintegration of his government if he backs down from these operations.

Finally, 'Times of Israel' discussed the opposition of some Israeli archaeologists to a law that transfers antiquities in the West Bank to the Israeli Antiquities Authority, as they see this as a potential pretext to entrench the occupation in the region.

After its official announcement.. Israeli denial and American justification for the famine in Gaza

The occupying state continues to ignore the United Nations' declaration of famine in the Gaza Strip, as it still plans its military operation aimed at occupying the city. UN organizations have confirmed that the occupying army is responsible for the worsening catastrophic situation in the sector, which increases the suffering of the population.

The Israeli Broadcasting Authority reported from a security source that the occupation of Gaza City will begin after it is completely surrounded, which is expected to take about two months. Chief of Staff Eyal Zamir indicated that the occupation will be slow to preserve the lives of soldiers and avoid harming prisoners, raising new concerns about the fate of civilians.

At the same time, UN Secretary-General Antonio Guterres announced that the famine in Gaza is a direct result of the failure of the international community, asserting that this situation cannot continue without punishment. The UN has warned that 500,000 people are living in a state of catastrophic hunger, holding the occupation responsible.

Despite these statements, Israeli writer and political analyst Eli Nissan denies the existence of famine, claiming that Hamas is responsible for starving the Palestinians due to its seizure of aid. He also claimed that Israeli prisoners are the ones suffering from starvation, reflecting an extreme position that ignores the suffering of Palestinians.

In response to these claims, the media advisor for the United Nations Relief and Works Agency (UNRWA), Adnan Abu Hasna, confirmed that the occupation imposes restrictions that make it nearly impossible for aid to reach the people. He explained that UNRWA has enough trucks to feed the residents of the sector, but cannot bring them in due to Israeli obstacles.

Abu Hasna added that the occupation deliberately makes aid vulnerable to looting, allowing commercial trucks to be protected while preventing the UN from using companies or clans to secure its trucks. This has led to 95% of the aid that entered the sector falling into the hands of armed gangs.

In a related context, Republican Party analyst Adolfo Franco blamed Hamas, noting that the United States is concerned about the worsening humanitarian crisis but does not agree with the UN's descriptions. He considered that Hamas could save the Palestinians by surrendering, reflecting the use of civilian starvation as a means to achieve war goals.

It seems that Gaza is heading towards a greater humanitarian disaster, as 1.2 million Palestinians are living in Gaza City with nowhere to flee. With the occupation destroying the cities of Rafah and Khan Younis, any move to invade the city means we are heading towards a disaster greater than what we have witnessed so far.

Israeli source: The army will soon begin evacuating Palestinians and encircling Gaza.

Israeli security sources reported that the occupying army will soon begin evacuating Palestinians from the city of Gaza, following the completion of the encirclement operation expected to last for about two months. These plans are part of the strategy of Chief of Staff Eyal Zamir, who aims to achieve a slow occupation of the city to preserve the lives of soldiers and avoid harming hostages.

According to the sources, the occupying army will start working on evacuating Palestinians in the coming days, which raises significant concern among Palestinian circles. These plans come at a time when the intensity of the Israeli aggression on the besieged Gaza Strip is escalating, as the city is subjected to continuous bombardment.

In the same context, the newspaper "Maariv" reported from sources in the occupying army that Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu does not intend to halt Operation "Gideon's Chariots 2," which is believed to enable the army to occupy Gaza and achieve victory over Hamas. Over time, the term "a step away from victory" has turned into a description of a prolonged war.

Families of Israeli prisoners in Gaza expressed their concern over the continuation of the aggression, demanding an end to the occupation of the city before it leads to the death of their sons. During a protest in Tel Aviv, the Families of Prisoners Committee confirmed that the occupation of the Gaza Strip will lead to the collapse of negotiations, putting the lives of prisoners and Israeli soldiers at risk.

The Families of Prisoners Committee accused Netanyahu of condemning them to an eternal war, stating that he is sending their sons to death in Gaza in a war that has achieved its objectives. These statements reflect a state of discontent among families who fear for the fate of their children.

Since October 7, 2023, the occupying state has committed genocide in Gaza, including killing, starvation, destruction, and forced displacement, ignoring all international calls and orders from the International Court of Justice to stop the aggression. This genocide has resulted in 62,622 martyrs, 157,673 injured, most of whom are children and women, in addition to more than 10,000 missing and hundreds of thousands displaced.

WHO: Gaza needs 600 trucks daily to save the injured.

The World Health Organization has issued an urgent warning about the humanitarian situation in the besieged Gaza Strip, confirming that the region needs 600 trucks daily loaded with food and medical aid to combat the widespread famine. This warning comes at a time when only 10 to 30 trucks are currently entering, highlighting the significant gap between actual needs and available aid.

During a media briefing, WHO spokesperson Christian Lindmeier explained that opening all crossings and borders for vital aid is essential. A famine has been declared in Gaza after meeting all established international criteria and protocols, underscoring the severity of the humanitarian situation.

Lindmeier described the situation as 'tragic and hard to describe,' noting that famine is not just a lack of food, but means that people are dying due to weakened bodies and exposure to diseases. The necessary protocol for declaring a famine has been completed, indicating that the catastrophic situation has persisted for a long time.

Lindmeier clarified that the international classification of famine includes five stages, and the Gaza Strip has reached the fifth and final stage in the northern region and Khan Younis. He also pointed out that this stage may soon extend to other areas such as Deir al-Balah, increasing concerns about the spread of famine.

In the final stage of famine, individuals become weak and frail, and children suffer from continuous crying due to hunger. Even if food is introduced, the body cannot absorb it without complex medical intervention, increasing the risk of death.

Lindmeier acknowledged that this classification came much too late, noting that the time has long passed since the beginning of the siege for many mothers and children. He emphasized that famine means bodies are exposed to diseases and infections, and wounds do not heal in the natural way.

He also warned of the horrific aspects of malnutrition, stating that dying of hunger is the worst, especially when a person reaches an advanced stage of weakness. He affirmed that only political will can end this tragic situation.

Lindmeier noted that the declaration of famine has raised concerns among many politicians worldwide, and he observed a sharp response from Israeli authorities. Many governments have begun to exert the necessary pressure following the awakening of global public opinion.

Lindmeier confirmed that allowing the required amount of supplies to enter would help reopen bakeries and food markets, thus eliminating the flourishing black market. However, he warned that aid may arrive too late for some, especially those who have reached an advanced stage of weakness.

The United Nations and international experts have officially declared a famine outbreak in the Gaza Strip, marking the first time famine has been declared in the Middle East. International organizations have confirmed that more than half a million people in Gaza are trapped in famine.

It is noteworthy that the occupying state began starving the residents of Gaza after its coup against the ceasefire agreement, restricting the entry of aid, which led to the martyrdom of more than two thousand Palestinians and the injury of 15 thousand others.

Israeli incitement against public solidarity with Palestine in the Champions League

The Israeli incitement against any event supporting the Palestinian people continues, as a Hebrew newspaper criticized the public's solidarity with Palestine in the UEFA Champions League. The newspaper claims that this solidarity constitutes hate propaganda against the occupying state, exploiting sporting events to spread political messages.

The "Israel Hayom" newspaper reported that the UEFA Champions League qualifiers have reached a critical stage, where the stands have been used to raise banners accusing the occupation of committing genocide in the Gaza Strip. It noted that this phenomenon is not new, but rather recurs in matches held in countries like Turkey and Scotland.

In recent matches, Fenerbahçe fans raised a banner saying: "Stop the genocide in Gaza, free Palestine," reflecting the growing support for Palestine in sports circles. Celtic fans in Glasgow also joined this campaign, raising pro-Palestine slogans during a qualifying match.

The newspaper highlighted that Israeli players Dan Glazer and Ofir Marciano were subjected to pro-Palestine chants, making them feel pressured during the match. The two players were forced to confront Palestinian flags that were waving in the stadium.

Hours before the qualifying match began, protests started in Glasgow, where banners condemning the occupation were raised. One of these slogans was: "Give Israel, which commits genocide, a red card," reflecting the extent to which sporting events impact political issues.

The newspaper pointed out that Celtic fans expressed their support for Palestinian terrorism, as their Israeli striker Liel Abada was expelled, forcing him to move to the MLS. These events indicate a rise in tensions between sports and politics in the Palestinian context.

Hebrew media: Netanyahu approves sending a negotiating delegation regarding Gaza amid uncertainty about the time and place.

Channel 13 reported that the Israeli Prime Minister, Benjamin Netanyahu, has recently approved sending a delegation from Tel Aviv to participate in negotiations concerning the situation in the Gaza Strip. This decision comes at a sensitive time as events in the region escalate.

Despite the approval, no date has been set for the delegation's departure or the location where the talks will be held, raising questions about the possibility of making actual progress in the negotiations. Reports indicate that the negotiations may not take place in Cairo or Doha, as Washington and Tel Aviv seek to find an alternative venue.

In a related context, Channel 12 quoted a Tel Aviv official confirming that the process of recovering the captives in Gaza is extremely urgent. The Chief of Staff of the Israeli Occupation Army, Eyal Zamir, stated that he does not have a precise understanding of how long it will take to evacuate the city of Gaza from its residents.

The session dedicated to discussing the situation in Gaza witnessed sharp tension, as a verbal dispute erupted between the Occupation's Finance Minister Bezalel Smotrich and Chief of Staff Zamir. Zamir accused Smotrich of misunderstanding and failing to distinguish between the battalion and the brigade, reflecting the internal division within the Occupation government.

At the same time, international mediators expressed their frustration with the United States' position, considering that it has not exerted enough pressure on Tel Aviv to respond positively to Hamas's agreement on the proposal for a prisoner exchange. It seems that Washington still supports the military option, including advancing towards the city of Gaza.

The Families of the Captives Authority announced an escalation in their movement within the entity, calling for massive demonstrations on Sunday and Tuesday, demanding an end to the war and ensuring the recovery of the captives from the Gaza Strip. This escalation reflects the growing concern among families about the fate of their loved ones.

Families of Israeli prisoners: Those who want to free our sons do not occupy Gaza.

The families of Israeli prisoners held in the Gaza Strip held a press conference in Tel Aviv, where they emphasized that those who want to free their children cannot occupy Gaza. They pointed out that Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu is placing obstacles to concluding a prisoner exchange deal.

This conference came at a time when pressure is increasing on the Israeli government to move forward with a deal that guarantees the release of the prisoners. Netanyahu has instructed to begin immediate negotiations for their release, while continuing his plan to occupy what remains of the Gaza Strip.

A relative of the prisoners confirmed that Netanyahu continues the war under the pretext of confronting Hamas, despite the possibility of signing an agreement that would return dozens of prisoners, but he is placing obstacles in the way. They noted that those seeking to recover the detainees cannot drag the army into an invasion of the territory.

Another relative warned that the continuation of the war means more loss of life, pointing out that any military operation to control Gaza will eliminate the chances of a deal. They called on the Israeli community to take to the streets in large numbers to pressure for an agreement.

A recent poll showed that 72% of Israelis support concluding a prisoner exchange deal with Hamas, while 62% expressed distrust in Netanyahu's government. A third relative of a prisoner confirmed that ending the war and signing a deal is the only way to bring their children back.

Israeli estimates indicate that Hamas is holding 50 prisoners, including 20 alive, while it holds more than 10,800 Palestinians in its prisons, amid accusations of torture and medical neglect. The proposed plan includes the redeployment of Israeli forces near the border to facilitate the entry of humanitarian aid.

Despite this, Tel Aviv continues its military plan to occupy what remains of the Gaza Strip, starting with the city of Gaza by displacing its residents, before carrying out incursions into the neighborhoods. Since October 7, 2023, Israel, with American support, has committed genocide in Gaza, resulting in thousands of martyrs and injured.

"Ma'ariv": Netanyahu understands that the survival of his government depends on the reoccupation of Gaza.

Hebrew media revealed that Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu is fully aware that the continuation of his government depends on implementing a plan to reoccupy Gaza, as estimates suggest that the absence of this operation could lead to the collapse of his government. This situation reflects the increasing pressures he faces from extremist ministers in his government.

National Security Minister Itamar Ben Gvir and Finance Minister Bezalel Smotrich threatened to withdraw from the government if a deal to halt the aggression against the Gaza Strip was pursued, complicating Netanyahu's political situation further.

In the context of negotiations, an Israeli military source reported that Israel was seeking to release some hostages without committing to ending the war, but after Hamas agreed to all of Israel's demands, Tel Aviv's language shifted towards a comprehensive agreement and a ceasefire.

Reports indicated that the occupation army is prepared for a new phase of fighting, intending to call up reserve forces on September 2, suggesting that the fighting in Gaza may continue for several more months.

The occupation army also informed hospital directors in Gaza of the need to prepare evacuation plans, reflecting ongoing preparations for reoccupation, at a time when threats from Israeli officials are increasing.

Occupation Army Minister Israel Katz threatened that 'the gates of hell will soon be opened on Hamas in Gaza' if they do not agree to Israel's conditions, reflecting the escalation in official Israeli rhetoric.

In security consultations, Netanyahu and members of the security cabinet approved the army's plan to occupy the city of Gaza, reflecting the aggressive trends aimed at achieving objectives that the army has not been able to accomplish previously.

The Israeli army expects fighting to continue until 2026, with around 130,000 reserve soldiers being called up, indicating that the occupation is preparing for long-term military operations.

Since the beginning of the aggression on October 7, 2023, the occupation army has committed genocide in Gaza, with the attacks resulting in thousands of martyrs and injured, reflecting the catastrophic impact of these operations on Palestinian civilians.

World Health Organization: 15,000 in Gaza need medical evacuation

The Director-General of the World Health Organization, Tedros Adhanom Ghebreyesus, announced that more than 15,600 people in the Gaza Strip, including 3,800 children, are in urgent need of medical evacuation for specialized care. These statements come amid the dire humanitarian conditions faced by the region due to the ongoing Israeli aggression.

The Ministry of Health in Gaza praised the United Nations' decision to declare famine in the region, despite the delay in this decision. The ministry confirmed that this declaration reflects the starvation policy implemented by the occupying state alongside its commission of genocide against the Palestinians for nearly 23 months.

In a post on the 'X' platform, Ghebreyesus called for an increase in evacuation operations from Gaza and for facilitating the delivery of humanitarian aid. He emphasized the necessity of a ceasefire in Gaza to save lives and provide life-saving care.

The report from the 'Global Initiative on the Integrated Food Security Phase Classification' (IPC) confirmed that famine has been established in the Gaza governorate, and it is expected to extend to the Deir al-Balah and Khan Younis governorates by the end of next September. This report provoked angry reactions from the occupying state, which attacked its content.

The Israeli army claimed that the report contains substantial gaps in facts and methodology, accusing it of relying on biased information. However, the report is based on data from 21 prominent international organizations, including the Food and Agriculture Organization and the World Food Programme.

Since March 2, the occupying state has closed all crossings leading to Gaza, preventing any humanitarian aid from entering. This blockade has exacerbated the humanitarian crisis in the region, with relief trucks piling up at the border without sufficient quantities being allowed in to meet the needs of the population.

Since the beginning of the Israeli aggression on October 7, 2023, the Gaza Strip has been subjected to genocidal operations including killing, starvation, and destruction. These operations have resulted in the martyrdom of 62,622 Palestinians, with 157,673 others injured, most of whom are children and women, in addition to more than 9,000 missing and hundreds of thousands displaced.

Two children killed in the occupation's shelling of Jabalia al-Nazla in

Two sibling children were killed this evening, Saturday, due to the bombardment by the occupation's aircraft on a group of citizens near Hamza Mosque in Jabalia al-Nazla, north of the Gaza Strip. This aggression comes at a time when Israeli violations against civilians in the sector are escalating.

Several citizens were also injured with various wounds as a result of the Israeli occupation's artillery shelling of the Sudanese area in the northwest of the Gaza Strip.
