Swiss newspaper: The steadfast fleet is the most capable of breaking the Gaza blockade.

The Swiss newspaper Le Temps reported that the largest fleet ever organized to break the blockade of the Gaza Strip begins its activities today, Sunday, in Barcelona, organized by veteran activists in the pro-Palestine movement.

The newspaper explained—in a report by François Musseau from Madrid—that breaking the Israeli blockade on the Gaza Strip has been and remains the goal of many, including Saif Abu Kask, a Palestinian with Spanish nationality, who hopes to achieve it in the coming days.

The writer noted that Abu Kask's ambition so far is great, as all attempts have failed to reach Gaza due to Israel; however, at least 40 ships are departing today, Sunday, from the port of Barcelona, to be joined on September 4 by ships from Tunisia and several other ports, before meeting on the coast of Gaza, unless intercepted by the Israeli navy.

This will be "the largest solidarity mission in history," as Saif Abu Kask stated to the newspaper, explaining that hundreds of passengers will participate in the journey, including activist Greta Thunberg, actress Susan Sarandon, and various local political figures such as former Barcelona mayor Ada Colau.

The ship "Hanthal" approached Gaza before being seized by Israel and its passengers deported late last month.

The newspaper pointed out that participants are coming from 44 countries, including Spain, Italy, Greece, and Morocco, and that 28,000 people—according to the organizers—have requested to board one of the boats of this fleet, which is called "Resilience," a term used by Palestinians to denote steadfastness in the face of Israeli oppression.

Abu Kask told the newspaper: "Like many others, I was arrested and tortured, and I received no support from the Spanish embassy. We did not achieve our goal, but we succeeded in amplifying the voice of the people and gaining countless supporters."

The idea of the Resilience fleet came to Abu Kask when he met in Egypt with Thiago Avila, a prominent figure in the pro-Palestinian movement in Brazil, and one of the organizers of the attempt to cross the ship Madeleine on June 9, alongside Greta Thunberg and 10 other passengers. He told the media: "We have gathered so much support that this time we can finally open a humanitarian route and change everything."

It is no coincidence that the convoy departs from Barcelona, where Saif Abu Kask resides, as he is an activist in Catalonia, where the Palestinian cause is very popular, and most of its parties strongly condemn Israel.

Santiago González Vallejo—a member of the solidarity network against the occupation of Palestine, launched in 2005 in Catalonia—confirms that almost all administrations facilitate any initiatives for Gaza and the West Bank, adding that "the mobilization for Gaza is very strong throughout Spain, but Catalonia, especially Barcelona, is the most capable of organizing it."

The newspaper stated that pro-Arab sentiments are clearly evident in Spain, especially among the left for historical reasons, and indeed, the socialist Prime Minister Pedro Sánchez officially recognized the Palestinian state in May 2024, alongside his counterparts in Ireland and Norway. Since then, diplomatic tensions between Madrid and Tel Aviv have doubled.

The writer questioned whether the Resilience fleet could succeed, noting that this is doubtful, given previous experiences, as all exploratory trips from Turkey, Greece, and Sweden between 2010 and 2015 failed, and since the spring of this year, three other attempts have been thwarted.

The newspaper quoted a maritime security expert—who requested anonymity—as saying, "Any operation that represents an opportunity to break the blockade is this one, considering the number of ships and passengers." He added, "It will be difficult for the Israeli authorities to board this large number of ships unless they decide to bomb them."

According to observers, all previous attempts within the "Freedom Fleet" succeeded in amplifying the voices of besieged Gazans and revealed to the world how Israel prevents all supporters from reaching those trapped in the besieged enclave by sea, land, and air.

The United Nations and international experts officially announced for the first time last week the widespread famine in the Gaza Strip, marking the first time famine has been declared in the Middle East.

The World Health Organization, UNICEF, the World Food Program, and the Food and Agriculture Organization (FAO) issued a joint statement in Geneva confirming that more than half a million people in Gaza are trapped in famine.

A new coronavirus-like virus spreads in Gaza.

A new strain of viruses is spreading among the population in the Gaza Strip, particularly affecting children, with symptoms resembling those that were prevalent during the COVID-19 period. However, it is now more lethal due to malnutrition, famine, and the blockade the region is facing.

Health officials in Gaza reported that these infections are increasing daily, amid a severe weakness in immunity and the inability of hospitals to handle cases presenting these symptoms.

The ongoing Israeli aggression since October 2023 exacerbates the crisis for patients, alongside the absence of essential medicines due to the continued blockade and targeting of the medical sector.

The Director General of the Ministry of Health in Gaza, Munir al-Bursh, confirmed that the new virus is spreading its symptoms among the most vulnerable groups, primarily children, as hospitals are filled with cases suffering from severe symptoms similar to influenza.

Al-Bursh explained in statements that the weakened immunity resulting from malnutrition and the lack of basic supplies such as fruits and vitamin C has rendered children's bodies unable to resist viruses, leading to an increase in mortality rates among this group.

In the absence of laboratories and necessary tools for testing and diagnosing viruses, the health situation becomes more complicated, making seasonal diseases more lethal, especially with the large population density in displacement areas within the sector.

The Director General of the Government Media Office in Gaza, Ismail al-Thawabteh, stated that thousands of cases have been recorded among children, the elderly, and patients with chronic diseases, with a dangerously increasing number of infections daily.

Al-Thawabteh clarified that the hospitals that are still operational and have not been destroyed by Israeli bombardment are experiencing a catastrophic situation, suffering from severe shortages of medical staff and supplies.

Regarding healthcare teams, al-Thawabteh confirmed that they are dealing with this wave of illness under severely deteriorating conditions, with a critical shortage of these staff and essential supplies.

Al-Thawabteh pointed out that the Gaza Strip is completely lacking effective medicines for treating the new strain that is spreading, and if some types are available, they are in limited quantities and do not meet the needs of the increasing number of patients.

Since October 2023, the Israeli occupation army has continued its bombardment across the Gaza Strip, not sparing hospitals and health infrastructure, leading to a near-total collapse of health services.

Accusation against the Israeli judiciary of legitimizing enforced disappearance and torture of Gaza detainees.

The Palestinian Prisoners' Club revealed the escalation of enforced disappearances against thousands of Gaza residents since the war on the strip began in October 2023, accusing the Israeli judiciary of entrenching this crime by legitimizing torture and detaining prisoners in isolation from the outside world.

The club confirmed that the ambiguity surrounding the fate of the detainees and the difficulty in accessing accurate data about their numbers or conditions reflects the extent of ongoing violations, amid continued international calls to stop the aggression and hold the occupying authorities accountable for their crimes against Palestinians.

This was stated in a statement published by the Prisoners' Club yesterday, Saturday, on the occasion of the "International Day of the Victims of Enforced Disappearances," which falls on August 30 each year.

According to the club, the occupation continues to commit the crime of enforced disappearance, which has affected thousands of Gaza residents, and has particularly escalated since the occupation forces carried out ground invasion operations in the strip (at the end of October 2023), with children and women among the victims.

It clarified that this crime "has formed the most prominent cover for the horrific torture crimes committed against Gaza detainees, which led to the martyrdom of dozens of them."

The report highlighted the role of the Israeli judicial system, which contributed to "entrenching the crime of enforced disappearance by legitimizing torture crimes against Gaza detainees, by detaining thousands of them based on the unlawful combatant law enacted by the Knesset in 2002, which provided a cover for widespread torture practices.

The Prisoners' Club indicated that the amendments made to the "unlawful combatant" law at the beginning of the war "also contributed to entrenching the crime of enforced disappearance, alongside the occupation's refusal to disclose any information about Gaza detainees or their numbers."

It renewed its call to the international human rights system "to overcome the ongoing and systematic state of impotence in the face of the genocide, and to make clear decisions to hold the Israeli occupying state accountable and stop its comprehensive aggression against the Palestinian people."

It pointed out that to date, "there is no accurate data on the number of Gaza detainees or those who have been martyred in torture or execution crimes, except for what the occupation prison administration announced until the beginning of August 2025."

The Prisoners' Club noted that Israeli data indicated that about 2,378 Palestinians from Gaza have been classified as "unlawful combatants" since 2023, while the number of Palestinians from Gaza detainees who died inside Israeli prisons is about 46 individuals whose identities have been confirmed, out of 77 detainees who died inside the prisons since the onset of the genocide, according to the statement.

According to the United Nations, enforced disappearance occurs when "persons are arrested and detained or abducted against their will or deprived of their liberty in any other way by officials of various branches or levels of government or by an organized group, or ordinary individuals acting in the name of the government or with its support, directly or indirectly, or with its consent, and then refusing to disclose their fate or whereabouts or refusing to acknowledge their deprivation of liberty, which deprives these persons of the protection of the law.

Colonizers attack citizens' homes and seize their contents in Kisan, east of Bethlehem.

Today, Sunday, colonizers attacked the homes of citizens in the village of Kisan east of Bethlehem, seizing their contents after forcibly expelling the residents, under the protection of the occupation forces.

Ahmad Ghazal, the secretary of the "Fatah" movement in Kisan, reported that a group of colonizers assaulted the homes of citizens in the "Sahba" area adjacent to the "Um Zoutina" gathering belonging to the village, forcibly removing the residents before seizing what was inside.

Ghazal added that this assault is part of a series of ongoing violations by the colonizers, in an attempt to empty the land of its original inhabitants and establish colonial pastoral outposts in their place, noting that the occupation forces provided full protection to the assailants.

He explained that the Kisan area has been subjected to repeated assaults in recent weeks, leading to the displacement of dozens of families from their lands and the demolition of their homes in the areas of Wadi Abiyan and Deir Alla, as well as the seizure of thousands of agricultural and pastoral dunams, in preparation for the establishment of new colonial outposts, amidst a clear absence of the role of human rights and international institutions in confronting these violations.

A bloody day in Gaza.. More than 500 dead and wounded due to the intensification of the shell

The increase in the pace of bombardment carried out by the occupying forces in the city of Gaza, and the sector in general, has led to a noticeable rise in the number of casualties, amidst a complete siege and starvation that has claimed the lives of hundreds so far.

The Ministry of Health stated in a statement on Sunday that hospitals in the Gaza Strip received 88 dead and 421 injuries in the past 24 hours.

Meanwhile, several victims remain under the rubble and in the streets, where rescue and civil defense teams are unable to reach them at this moment.

The ministry confirmed that the toll of the Israeli aggression has risen to 63,459 dead and 160,256 injuries since October 7, 2023.

The toll of dead and injuries since the resumption of the genocide on March 18, 2025, until today has reached 11,328 dead and 48,215 injuries.

Regarding the victims of livelihood, the ministry stated that the number of those who reached hospitals in the past 24 hours from aid dead has reached 30 martyrs and 166 injuries, bringing the total number of livelihood dead who reached hospitals to 2,248 dead and more than 16,600 injuries.

Haaretz: Netanyahu will hold the Chief of Staff responsible for the failure in Gaza.

The military analyst stated that Israel is preparing this week to expand its military operations within the city of Gaza, as part of what is known as Operation "Gideon's Chariots 2," but field and political indicators suggest a high likelihood of failure for the operation.

The analyst pointed out that Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu has begun to craft a narrative that prepares public opinion to hold the Israeli army, led by Chief of Staff Eyal Zamir, responsible for any potential failure, rather than taking political responsibility himself.

He explained that the army has decided to mobilize most of its regular forces in the Gaza Strip, while about 60,000 reservists will be called up in the coming days, half for secondary tasks and the other half to compensate for the regular forces deployed in the West Bank and along the border.

The analyst indicates that this distribution reflects the high command's caution in moving forward, as they are aware that the operation is controversial within Israeli society and do not wish to risk tens of thousands of reservists inside Gaza.

Regarding the Zeitoun neighborhood, the analyst confirmed that the southeastern area of the city has been witnessing violent confrontations for days, amid efforts by the Islamic Resistance Movement (Hamas) to turn the neighborhood into a resistance stronghold similar to the Shuja'iyya neighborhood in 2024.

He added that the city has suffered extensive destruction, yet Hamas still retains a network of tunnels and a command structure capable of exhausting the army, despite a decline in its offensive capabilities against the Israeli depth.

Concerning the army's approach, the analyst noted that the Chief of Staff has issued clear instructions to the forces to advance slowly and cautiously, relying on intensive shelling to minimize human losses among the soldiers.

He also added that naming the operation "Gideon's Chariots 2" is merely an attempt to reproduce previous operations and does not reflect a new strategy, which contradicts the political message Netanyahu is trying to promote.

The analyst believes that the gap between the army's assessments and Netanyahu's rhetoric could lead to a crisis with Washington, after the latter convinced the U.S. president that the operation would lead to a "decisive" outcome against Hamas's last strongholds.

Conversely, the army does not see this decisive outcome as imminent, emphasizing that delays in field progress may lead Netanyahu to shift blame onto the army and its Chief of Staff for any failure.

The analyst considered that close associates of Netanyahu have already begun leaking accusations against Zamir, alleging procrastination in execution, which he viewed as a preemptive step to prepare public opinion for the possibility of failure and to shift responsibility from the political level to the military.

On a humanitarian level, the analyst points out that Palestinian civilians pose an obstacle to the operation, as only a few thousand residents of Gaza have left, while many prefer to stay despite the difficult conditions.

He clarified that the continued presence of civilians in the heart of the battles will complicate the operation on the ground and increase international pressure on Israel.

In the same context, the analyst confirmed that the army does not observe any signs of Hamas's collapse or loss of will to fight; on the contrary, the movement is expected to continue exhausting Israeli forces and attempting to carry out abductions.

He explained that the difficulty for Hamas lies in its capabilities, while the difficulty for Netanyahu is in reconciling his promises to the Americans with what the army can achieve on the ground.

The analyst concluded his analysis by affirming that the likely scenario is that the ground operation will falter without achieving "decisiveness," amid increasing American and international pressures.

After the dispute with Trump.. India seeks to improve its relations with China

Indian Prime Minister Narendra Modi said during a meeting with Chinese President Xi Jinping on the sidelines of the Shanghai Cooperation Organization summit this Sunday that New Delhi is committed to improving relations with Beijing.

Modi is visiting China for the first time in seven years to attend a two-day regional security forum meeting, which also includes Russian President Vladimir Putin and leaders from Central Asia, Southeast Asia, South Asia, and the Middle East, showcasing solidarity among Global South countries.

In a video on the official account of the Indian leader on the X platform, Modi told Xi during the meeting, "We are committed to developing our relations based on mutual respect, trust, and consideration."

The bilateral meeting took place five days after Washington imposed a 50% tariff on Indian goods due to New Delhi's purchases of Russian oil.

Modi stated that an atmosphere of "peace and stability" has emerged along the disputed border in the Himalayan region between his country and China, where clashes occurred between the two nations' forces resulting in casualties in 2020, leading to a freeze on most areas of cooperation between the nuclear-armed rivals.

He added that an agreement has been reached between the two countries regarding border management, without providing details.

The two leaders held a meeting in Russia last year after reaching an agreement to conduct patrols along the border.

Modi mentioned that direct flights between the two countries, which have been suspended since 2020, "are being worked on for resumption," without specifying a timeline.

China also agreed to lift restrictions on the export of rare earth materials, fertilizers, and tunnel boring machines this month during the visit of Chinese Foreign Minister Wang Yi to India.

A official stated that Israel will soon slow down or stop the delivery of humanitarian aid to parts of northern Gaza, while expanding its military offensive.

This decision is likely to lead to further condemnation of the Israeli government as frustration grows both domestically and internationally over the horrific conditions faced by Palestinians in Gaza.

The President of the occupying state, Isaac Herzog, is considering reducing the sentence of the extremist terrorist, Amihai Booper, who killed seven Palestinian workers in the "Eyes of Qara" massacre, despite warnings that any leniency in the sentence may encourage the repetition of similar crimes.

The newspaper "Yedioth Ahronoth" reported on Sunday that Herzog has not yet made a final decision; however, the presidential pardon committee and the Ministry of Justice have conducted a study in recent months on requests submitted by Jewish prisoners convicted of terrorist crimes against Palestinians.

These individuals have demanded a reduction in their sentences, under the pretext of releasing Palestinian prisoners in previous deals made between the occupying government and the resistance in the Gaza Strip.

The Eyes of Qara massacre on May 20, 1990, saw Booper open fire with a military rifle on Palestinian workers from the Gaza Strip who were waiting at a bus stop near the Rishon Lezion area, resulting in the martyrdom of seven and the injury of ten others.

The massacre was followed by widespread protests in Gaza, resulting in the martyrdom of 19 individuals during a week of confrontations, and it is remembered in Palestinian memory as "Black Sunday," while the massacre committed by Booper is known as the "Eyes of Qara" massacre.

The martyrs of the massacre are: Abdul Rahim Muhammad Salem Barika, Ziad Mousa Muhammad Suwaid, Zayed Zidan Abdul Hamid Al-Amour, Suleiman Abdul Razzaq Abu Anza, Omar Hamdan Ahmad Dahlez, Zaki Muhammad Muhammad Qadih, and Yusuf Mansour Ibrahim Abu Daqa.

Following the massacre, Booper was sentenced to seven life sentences after he stole a weapon from his soldier brother and opened fire on Palestinian workers at the "Gan Hevradim" intersection in the city of Rishon Lezion.

7 deaths due to starvation in Gaza in the past few hours

Medical sources announced today, Sunday, the death of 7 citizens due to starvation and malnutrition, recorded by hospitals in the Gaza Strip over the past 24 hours.

The same sources reported that the total number of victims of starvation and malnutrition has risen to 339 martyrs, including 124 children.

They clarified that since the announcement of the famine classification in the Gaza Strip by the (IPC) on August 22 of this month, 61 deaths have been recorded, including 9 children due to starvation.

An international classification on food insecurity, involving the United Nations, confirmed the occurrence of famine in the Gaza governorate and predicted its spread to the Deir al-Balah and Khan Younis governorates by the end of September.

The integrated food security classification stated that more than half a million people in the Gaza Strip are facing catastrophic conditions, which is the fifth stage of the classification, characterized by severe hunger, death, deprivation, and extremely critical levels of acute malnutrition.

The classification mentioned that 1.07 million other people (54% of the population) are facing the fourth stage, which is the acute food insecurity 'emergency' stage.

396,000 people (20% of the population) are facing the third stage, which is the acute food insecurity 'crisis' stage.

The integrated food security classification is a global initiative that includes agencies from the United Nations, regional partners, and relief organizations, and it classifies food insecurity into five stages, the most severe being famine, which is ranked fifth.

Before the Gaza operation.. Hebrew media: The occupation's security will pressure the cabinet on Sunday to approve a deal that Hamas has agreed to.

In a significant development that may change the course of events, Channel 12 reported that the Israeli occupation's security system intends to request the cabinet, in its scheduled meeting on Sunday, to discuss a proposal for a prisoner exchange that Hamas had agreed to, and to push for its completion before any large-scale military operation in the city of Gaza.

According to the Hebrew media report, the leaders of the security system (the army, Shin Bet, and Mossad) will submit an official request to the political level to seriously discuss the proposal, considering it a real opportunity to return the detainees.

The most important point in the Hebrew channel's report is the time condition set by the security system, which is 'that the deal be completed before the occupation of the city of Gaza.' This condition means that the occupation's security leadership sees that entering into a large-scale ground military operation in the heart of Gaza City could close the 'window of opportunity' currently available to reach an agreement, and may endanger the lives of the detainees.

Israeli expert: The last glove in the relationship with Turkey has been removed.. We are facing a serious escalation.

The Ma'ariv newspaper reported that relations between the occupation and Turkey have reached an unprecedented level of tension after Ankara reminded of the cessation of economic and trade dealings with Tel Aviv and the closure of its airspace to aircraft.

Hai Eitan Cohen Yanroojik, a researcher at the Dayan Center at Tel Aviv University and an expert on Turkish affairs, considered that this step represents a dangerous strategic shift as it removed the last signs of mutual dependence between the two parties, which could lead to a wide-ranging strategic escalation.

The newspaper mentioned that cutting economic and trade relations in this manner usually only occurs during times of war, yet Turkish Foreign Minister Hakan Fidan's remarks reflected an approach aimed at ending all forms of interconnection between the two parties, paving the way for a more dangerous confrontation.

Yanroojik confirmed that the recent development was not surprising to him, explaining that he had been expecting gradual steps of this kind for a long time.

He added that the first indicators appeared when the occupation announced the expansion of its aggression on Gaza, prompting Ankara to respond immediately by imposing maritime sanctions.

He continued: "The incident of the Israeli army revealing espionage devices sold by Turkey to Syrian entities was the card Ankara needed to justify its decision to sever relations completely and close its airspace."

On the economic front, the expert believes that the repercussions will be immediate, as the occupation will have to significantly extend its flight routes to Russia, Georgia, and Azerbaijan, while the Turks will also be unable to use the airspace of occupied Palestine.

However, he emphasized that the more dangerous aspect goes beyond the economy to reach the strategic dimension, as the absence of common interests removes the "braking mechanism" that prevented the deterioration of relations into direct confrontation.

Yanroojik explained that the danger of the Turkish decision lies in its unprecedented nature, as countries usually maintain a minimum level of relations even amid tension, which ensures the existence of communication channels and common interests that limit the slide into a comprehensive clash.

In the current situation, the absence of all forms of commercial, tourism, maritime, and air cooperation makes it difficult to find natural barriers to escalation.

As for the chances of restoring relations between Ankara and Tel Aviv in the near term, the expert considers them almost nonexistent.

He stated that these steps cannot be easily reversed as they stemmed from a massive political investment on Erdoğan's part, and any attempt to backtrack could incur a heavy political cost.

He added that Turkey has already exhausted its political capital in the Gaza issue, making it extremely difficult to restore matters to their previous state.

"The Hebron Emirate".. Israel's gateway to fragmenting the West Bank and transforming it into local entities.

At a time when the outlines of the Israeli plan to divide the occupied West Bank into semi-independent entities known as the "Seven Emirates" are unfolding, the city of Hebron appears at the forefront of this project as the first model for implementation.

Experts believe that the choice of Hebron is not a coincidence, but rather an extension of an old Israeli policy aimed at fragmenting Palestinian society and transforming authority into scattered local powers, reminiscent of the "Village Leagues" experience that was thwarted by popular resistance in the 1980s.

Hebrew newspaper reports revealed last Friday that the occupying state plans to replace the leadership of the authority in Hebron with local clans, and to establish a separate governance that recognizes the occupying state "as a Jewish state," and joins the "Abraham Accords" for normalization, in response to the intention of several Western countries to recognize the State of Palestine.

Israeli affairs specialist Adel Shadid confirms that what is happening in Hebron is not a passing event, but rather the beginning of a strategic project through which the occupying state seeks to divide the West Bank and transform authority from a central entity into a group of scattered local authorities that do not differ from municipalities and village councils.

Shadid states that this division, and the remaining part of the city and governorate of Hebron under complete security, administrative, and life control of the occupation, has encouraged Tel Aviv as well as some parties willing to engage with the occupation to revive an experience similar to the "Village Leagues" project that was tried at the end of the 1970s and the beginning of the 1980s, which also originated from Hebron before it was thwarted thanks to the resilience of the Palestinian people and their national forces.

Shadid explains that the situation in Hebron changed completely after the redeployment agreement in 1997, as the agreement did not remain intact after the second intifada, with most Areas (A) that were under Palestinian security control being effectively canceled.

Today, the Hebron governorate – which covers an area of 1,100 km² and is home to about 900,000 people, nearly a third of the West Bank's population – is fully under Israeli security control.

The occupying army raids, arrests, and demolishes homes day and night, while the authority's powers are limited to civil and service aspects, even the movement of the security forces affiliated with the authority between areas of the governorate requires prior Israeli approval through what is known as "security coordination," which may often be rejected.

As in the rest of the West Bank, Hebron has been divided into Areas (A), (B), and (C), but with a fundamental difference: all security powers are now in the hands of the occupation.

Shadid adds that the most dangerous aspect of the scene is Area H2, which includes the old town and the heart of the city, where the Hebron Agreement kept security powers in the hands of the occupying state, while the service powers were nominally in the hands of the Hebron municipality, but even these powers have begun to be gradually withdrawn by what is called the "Settlers' Municipality" in Hebron, which means reducing its role in favor of the settlers' authority.

Shadid believes that the absence of security forces in these areas and the occupation's refusal to allow them to operate there has opened the door for the emergence of local figures who have no problem engaging with the occupation.

This brings to mind attempts to revive the "Village Leagues" but under different names and forms, by granting some service powers to these groups, as part of a larger project to fragment Palestinian national identity and transform it into local, tribal, and regional identities.

Nevertheless, Shadid emphasizes that this project – despite coinciding with the state of retreat experienced by the Palestinian national movement due to the "Oslo" agreement and the ban on the work of Hamas and Islamic Jihad and the transformation of Fatah into a party subordinate to the authority – will not succeed.

In this context, he recalls the experience of the 1970s and 1980s, when the occupying state sought to eliminate the national movement and install the Village Leagues after the invasion of Beirut and the departure of the PLO to exile, but the result was completely the opposite, as the Palestinians revived their national identity, paving the way for the outbreak of the first intifada that astonished the world and thwarted the Israeli project.

For his part, writer and political analyst Jihad Harb sees Netanyahu's plan to replace the authority with clans in the West Bank, specifically in Hebron, as part of a colonial strategy with Talmudic roots

The Israeli army arrests 9 Palestinians in the West Bank.

On Sunday morning, the occupation army launched a campaign of incursions in various areas of the occupied West Bank, which included the arrest of 9 Palestinians after storming their homes.

The official Palestinian news agency reported that the occupation army carried out a series of incursions in the West Bank, concentrated in Qalqilya, Bethlehem, Hebron, and Ramallah.

In Bethlehem, the occupation forces arrested 6 Palestinians after storming the towns of Tuqu' and Beit Fajjar and Al-Ayda, south and southeast of the city.

The occupation army also arrested two Palestinian youths, Saif Abdul Rahim Isbitan and Muhammad Shadi Al-Natsha, after raiding their homes in the town of Halhul, north of Hebron.

In Qalqilya, the occupation forces stormed the eastern area of the city and fired sound bombs at the main entrance near the wall of annexation and racial expansion, with no injuries reported.

In this context, the occupation army arrested the Palestinian citizen Ibrahim Hassan Al-Toufi (40 years old) after storming and searching his home in the Al-Am'ari refugee camp, south of Ramallah.

Alongside the genocide in the Gaza Strip, the occupation army and settlers in the West Bank, including East Jerusalem, have killed at least 1,016 Palestinians and injured about 7,000 others, in addition to arresting more than 18,500.

The head of the Jewish Agency cancels a visit to South Africa for fear of arrest.

The head of the Jewish Agency, retired Major General Doron Almog, canceled a planned visit to South Africa for fear of an arrest warrant being issued against him, in light of the genocide being committed by the occupation in the Gaza Strip.

The Jewish Agency is a public body that serves as the executive arm of the Zionist movement, aimed at encouraging Jewish immigration to Palestine. After the declaration of the establishment of the occupying state in 1948, its name became "The Jewish Agency for Israel."

The official Hebrew broadcasting authority reported on Sunday that Almog was scheduled to visit South Africa and meet with the Jewish community there, without mentioning the date of the canceled visit.

The authority considered South Africa to be one of the most hostile countries to the occupation in the world, and it is suing it before the International Court of Justice in The Hague on charges of war crimes and genocide in the Gaza Strip.

In late 2023, South Africa filed a lawsuit against the occupation before the International Court of Justice on the grounds that it violated the United Nations Convention of 1948 on the Prevention and Punishment of the Crime of Genocide.

The broadcasting authority stated: "Prior to Almog's travel, an assessment of the situation took place, after which it was decided to cancel the visit for fear that anti-Israel entities would seek to issue an arrest warrant against him."

The authority did not clarify the role played by the Jewish Agency or its head in the Israeli genocide in Gaza, but Almog had previously led the southern region of the occupying army between 2000 and 2003 before being appointed to his position in June 2022.

In 2005, an arrest warrant was issued against Almog in Britain due to his involvement in the demolition of about 50 Palestinian homes in Rafah, southern Gaza, and at that time he was forced to return without leaving the plane, according to the same source.

Since the beginning of the genocide in the Gaza Strip, legal actions against officials and soldiers of the occupying army have increased by international human rights organizations supportive of the Palestinians in various countries around the world.

In a letter to Rubio, lawmakers demand the delivery of baby formula to Gaza.

American lawmakers have urged their Secretary of State Marco Rubio to ensure the urgent delivery of humanitarian aid to the Gaza Strip, particularly infant formula, amid the humanitarian tragedy the region is experiencing due to the ongoing Israeli genocide and starvation.

This came in a letter sent on Sunday by Democratic representatives Ruben Gallego, Tim Kaine, Peter Welch, Mark Kelly, and Elizabeth Warren to Rubio. The letter from the American lawmakers comes amid absolute military and political support provided by the United States to Israel since it began its genocide against the Gaza Strip.

The lawmakers pointed out in their letter the "huge disaster" facing Palestinians in the Gaza Strip, especially children and infants, due to Israel's prevention of humanitarian aid entry and distribution.

They called on the U.S. administration to use "all its power and authority" to urgently and widely deliver infant formula to Gaza, considering it an immediate humanitarian solution to the ongoing crisis.

They noted that what is known as the "Gaza Humanitarian Foundation" has contributed to pushing children and infants towards starvation and death, emphasizing that the foundation does not provide any infant formula at all.

Aside from the oversight of the United Nations and international relief organizations, Tel Aviv has initiated since May 27 a mechanism for distributing aid through what is known as the "Gaza Humanitarian Foundation," which is supported by Israel and the U.S., but is rejected internationally.

Human rights and international organizations have previously criticized the foundation after accusing it of participating in Israeli plans to displace Palestinians from northern Gaza to the south where its aid distribution centers are located.

On Saturday, the Gaza Health Ministry announced that the death toll from the Israeli starvation policy has risen to 332 Palestinians, including 124 children, since October 7, 2023, following the death of 10 people, including 3 children, within 24 hours.

Since March 2, Israel has closed all crossings leading to Gaza, preventing any humanitarian aid, which has plunged the region into famine despite relief trucks piling up at its borders.

However, it allowed the entry of very limited amounts of aid over a month ago, which do not meet the minimum needs of the starving population, while famine continues, as most trucks are subjected to looting by gangs that enjoy Israeli protection, according to a previous statement from the Gaza government media office.

With U.S. support, Israel has been committing genocide in Gaza since October 7, 2023, including killing, starvation, destruction, and forced displacement, ignoring all international calls and orders from the International Court of Justice to stop.

The genocide has resulted in 63,371 dead and 159,835 injured Palestinians, most of whom are children and women, over 9,000 missing, and hundreds of thousands displaced.

A mysterious virus invades displacement camps in Gaza.. and warnings of a health disaster.

The medical teams in the Gaza Strip have sounded the alarm regarding the spread of a new virus among the displaced, with symptoms resembling those of the coronavirus (COVID-19). This alarming development exacerbates the humanitarian disaster in the region, which is suffering from a near-total collapse of its healthcare system under the current conditions.

The Shifa Medical Complex in Gaza City, one of the few health facilities still operational, has witnessed a large influx of patients, most of whom are displaced, suffering from uniform and concerning symptoms. Dr. Mohammed Abu Salmiya, the director of the complex, identified the nature of the symptoms appearing in the infected, which include: high fever and severe chills, persistent and acute cough, headaches, vomiting, and diarrhea.

In the hospital corridors, the tragedy is embodied in the stories of the displaced. A displaced woman from the Zeitoun neighborhood, who sought treatment at the complex, recounts her suffering, saying: "I have been suffering for a whole week from fever and a runny nose that won't stop." Her case is one of hundreds arriving daily at hospitals and shelters, increasing the pressure on the exhausted medical teams.

Health experts warn that the conditions in which the displaced live in Gaza create an ideal environment for the spread of viruses and epidemics. The severe overcrowding in shelters, lack of clean water, malnutrition, and the collapse of sewage systems are all factors contributing to the rapid spread of any infectious disease, turning it into a widespread epidemic that is difficult to control.

The emergence of this new virus not only threatens the lives of those infected but also poses a fatal blow to what remains of the crumbling healthcare system in Gaza, necessitating urgent international action to provide medical and humanitarian support before it is too late.

A lawsuit in Argentina demands the arrest of Netanyahu for committing war crimes in Gaza.

Two human rights lawyers in Argentina filed a lawsuit on Friday against Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu in the federal courts of the country, seeking his arrest, coinciding with media reports about a possible visit by Netanyahu to Buenos Aires next September.

According to reports, the lawyers requested an arrest warrant for Netanyahu in the event of his visit to the country, following the incident of the "martyrdom of paramedics" in Rafah last March.

The complaint, filed by lawyers Rodolfo Yanzón and Raji Sourani, director of the Palestinian Center for Human Rights, stated that Netanyahu bears criminal responsibility as a partner in war crimes and crimes against humanity.

Media reports indicated that Netanyahu is expected to visit Argentina next month, but the government has not confirmed this visit.

The complaint submitted to the court stated: "It is understood that Netanyahu is criminally responsible as a partner in committing the war crime of causing death by starvation, and for crimes against humanity such as murder, persecution, and other inhumane acts."

According to the United Nations, 15 paramedics and relief workers were killed in that incident - including at least one UN employee - in an attack by the Israeli occupation army on the Al-Sultan neighborhood in Rafah.

The British newspaper The Guardian reported at the time that rescue team vehicles, which were marked, came under fire during the rescue operation, a day after the Israeli occupation army renewed its attack on the Rafah area.

The Argentine newspaper Clarín also noted that Netanyahu might forgo the visit to Buenos Aires and instead request a meeting with Argentine President Javier Milei in New York during the United Nations General Assembly at the end of September.

Earlier, the State Workers' Association and the (HIJOS) human rights group submitted an arrest warrant against Netanyahu to the Argentine federal courts in early August.

Netanyahu is facing increasing global pressure due to the Israeli aggression on the Gaza Strip, which has led to the martyrdom of thousands of Palestinians, in addition to hundreds dying of starvation due to the occupation's blockade preventing food and medical aid from entering the besieged territory.

The occupying state faces accusations of genocide before the International Court of Justice, while the International Criminal Court issued a separate arrest warrant against Netanyahu over allegations of committing war crimes in Gaza.

Spain presents a plan to the European Union to stop the war in Gaza and calls for urgent action.

Spain announced today, Saturday, that it has submitted an action plan to the European Union to stop the war in the Gaza Strip, emphasizing the urgent need to act to halt the destruction, death, and famine, and to achieve peace in the Middle East.

Spanish Foreign Minister José Manuel Albares stated via the "X" platform that his country will advocate for the importance of this plan during the EU Foreign Ministers' meeting today, Saturday.

It is worth noting that Spain has been calling since 2023 for a halt to arms exports to the occupying state due to the war on Gaza, before its position later evolved to include a ban on purchasing arms from the occupying state as well.
