Gaza is being annihilated.. Israeli bombardment and ongoing aggression, with thousands of Palestinians displaced.

The Israeli army continues its military operations and escalating aggression in the neighborhoods of Gaza City and northern Gaza Strip, since announcing the start of "Gideon's Chariots 2" operation.

The neighborhoods of Sabra and Zeitoun in the south of the city have witnessed continuous shelling and airstrikes, resulting in martyrs and injuries that were transported to the Baptist Hospital.

The neighborhoods of Shuja'iyya and Tuffah in eastern Gaza are facing intense artillery bombardment, alongside gunfire from Israeli drones targeting Palestinians who returned to check on their destroyed homes.

Trump says that the ongoing war in Gaza "harms Israel" in the court of public opinion.

U.S. President Donald Trump confirmed that the Israeli war on Gaza is politically damaging to Israel, especially in the U.S. Congress, and warned that Israel must act quickly to end it.

In an interview published on Monday on the conservative news site "Daily Caller," which supports Trump, the U.S. president said: "Israel needs to end this war. They may be victorious, but they are not winning in the court of public opinion, and that hurts them."

Daily Caller White House correspondent, Reagan Reiss, sat down with Trump for an hour in the Oval Office on Friday, August 29, 2025. Reiss cited a poll conducted by the Pew Research Center last March, which showed a decline in support for Israel among young Republicans. The president acknowledged his awareness of this trend and explained to the interviewer that strong support for Israel in Congress has become a thing of the past.

Reiss asked: A Pew poll showed that 53% of American adults surveyed have a negative view of Israel, down from 42% in 2022. Among young Republicans under 50, 50% have a negative view of Israel, up from 35% in 2022. There is a growing faction within the "America First" coalition (of Republicans, especially young ones) that questions our support for Israel. Are you aware of this faction? Are you concerned about it?

Trump replied: Yes, I am aware of that. Israel is great, because I, you know, have good support in Israel. No one has done more for Israel than I have, including the recent attacks on Iran, which took out that thing (the nuclear facilities). We, with that plane (B-2), took them out like never before. You know, we came back and CNN was trying to say, "Well, maybe it wasn't complete," and it turned out it was completely complete, even more than complete. But when you go back 20 years, let me tell you, Israel had the strongest lobbying group in Congress; stronger than any entity, company, institution, or country I have ever seen in my life. Israel was the strongest. Today, it does not have a strong lobby like that. It's amazing."

Trump added: "There was a time when you couldn't say anything bad (to any degree about Israel), if you wanted to be political, you couldn't speak badly about Israel. But today, we have, you know, Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez and three others, and all these crazies, and they have really changed the situation. You are too young to realize this, but if you go back 15 years, that might have been the beginning of everything, right? Israel, you will understand this perfectly, was the strongest lobby I have ever seen in my life. They had complete control over Congress, and now they don't, you know, I am a little surprised to see that. And people have forgotten October 7 (2023). You know, October 7 was a really terrible day, because I saw the images."

Reiss: I was in Israel, and we went right into the war where you could hear the sound of bombs in Gaza. We visited the places that started on October 7; it was terrifying. Being there. I understand that."

Trump: "You know, there are those who deny it happened, they are deniers. There are those who deny the Holocaust happened. So, they will have to end that war, because it hurts Israel. There is no doubt about that. They may win the war, but they are not winning in the public relations world, you know, and that hurts them. But Israel was the strongest lobbying group 15 years ago, and now it has been damaged, especially in Congress," adding that "Republican Congresswoman Marjorie Taylor Greene from Georgia, a longtime ally of Trump, recently became the first Republican in the House to claim that Israel is committing 'genocide' in Gaza. Meanwhile, Stephen Bannon, another longtime supporter of Trump, spent the summer claiming that Israel is not a true ally of the United States, describing Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu's camp as untrustworthy."

It is noted that all recent polls conducted by Gallup, Pew, Quinnipiac, and the University of Maryland last August showed that a clear majority of Americans from all political orientations hold negative views of Israel and support the Palestinian cause.

Are Israel's estimates for the occupation of Gaza City accurate? What is expected militarily?

The military expert Colonel Nidal Abu Zaid stated that the Israeli occupation army's estimates regarding the occupation of Gaza City are inaccurate and not based on a precise intelligence assessment, suggesting that Israeli forces may drown in the city's quagmire.

Abu Zaid explained during the military analysis segment that the estimates are conflicting regarding the duration of the operation, as the occupation army estimates it will last a full year, while the political level estimates it will take three months.

Moreover, the estimates regarding the human loss bill are also inaccurate, as the military expert referred to the recent operation carried out by the resistance in the Zeitoun neighborhood southeast of Gaza City, which resulted in casualties and injuries.

In this context, Israeli Channel 13 reported that the army's estimates indicate a possibility of 100 soldiers being killed in the military operation to occupy Gaza.

The channel clarified that the army will conduct its operation in Gaza City without believing in its feasibility, and that the security agencies agree with the army on this.

Additionally, the occupation army requires a period of time to summon 60,000 soldiers, while Israeli conscription law stipulates that the period should not be less than a month and a half, according to Abu Zaid.

Channel 12 had reported that the army will begin on Tuesday to recruit 60,000 reservists in preparation for continuing the fight in Gaza City.

The channel added that initially, five reserve brigades consisting of 15,000 soldiers will be summoned, who will be deployed on the borders of Lebanon and Syria and in the West Bank to enable regular soldiers to fight in Gaza.

According to the military expert, this discrepancy in numbers and estimates explains why the Israeli security and military levels recommend the necessity of going to the negotiating path to conclude a prisoner exchange deal, as they are the ones who understand the extent of the complexities and losses, among other factors.

Based on this, Israeli Chief of Staff Eyal Zamir faces three compounded crises: "the required," "the imposed," and "the imposed upon him."

Zamir is asked to implement a military operation and achieve objectives, while he is imposed a number of reservists he cannot recruit due to about 40% reluctance to join the service, and he also cannot simultaneously accommodate all this number.

The military expert predicted that this reality would impose a new equation on the conflict, indicating that the fighting would be based on a political rather than a military equation, which would lead to significant confusion and the occupation army sinking into the quagmire of Gaza City.

Days ago, Haaretz newspaper reported, citing the occupation army, that 900 soldiers and officers had been killed since the Al-Aqsa Flood battle on October 7, 2023.

Washington and the blatant hostility towards Palestine

Jamal Zaqout

Jamal Zaqout

Opinion Writer

The American decision to prevent the Palestinian president from entering New York to participate in the General Assembly meetings was not merely a procedural measure. It is a clear political declaration that Washington cannot be relied upon; it no longer even recognizes the minimum legitimacy of Palestinian existence and representation, including before the United Nations.

This audacity cannot be separated from the nature of the Trump administration, which decided from the very first moment to fully align with Israel, not only as a strategic ally but as the sole party authorized to determine the future of the region.

A blatant violation of international agreements

Legally, what Washington has done represents a blatant violation of the UN Headquarters Agreement signed in 1947, which obligates the host country to grant visas to all representatives of member states and observers, regardless of political disagreements.

Ignoring these obligations not only harms Palestine but also undermines the independence of the UN itself, making it a hostage to the will of the host country. If the organization is unable to ensure the access of a head of state observer to its general assembly, despite openly betting on Washington, how can it protect this people's right to self-determination and enable them to achieve their freedom, independence, and the return of their refugees?

Washington: From alleged mediator to involved party

Washington's decision unequivocally proves that it is not a mediator but a party involved in the project to liquidate the Palestinian cause. Will this truth prompt other international powers to reconsider the necessity of breaking the American monopoly and to assume their responsibilities, encouraging Palestinians to restore their political unity in the face of plans aimed at erasing Palestine? If these countries are indeed sincere to the end in recognizing the State of Palestine and enabling its people to determine their destiny and embody their sovereignty, they must confirm the credibility of their recent positions, which are not merely a way to absolve themselves before public opinion in their countries.

Between Gaza and New York: The goal is liquidation

The Israeli-American pretext in Gaza is "rooting out Hamas," while the reality on the ground is a genocide targeting human lives and infrastructure. In New York, the "pretext is procedural," while its function is to exclude Palestine, including the chronic leadership betting on Washington from the UN platform. This confirms that Palestine is the target, in all its components, whether it is an authority whose only option is to appease Washington and Tel Aviv or a resistance to their schemes.

The failure of the policy of chasing after and appeasing

It is time for the leadership that dominates decision-making and the national path to recognize that it has taken a path that has brought nothing but national disasters, and that chasing after the mirage of a settlement with Washington and Tel Aviv has only led to further fragmentation. Betting on Washington has not only been a losing gamble but a destructive one, as it has never been a mediator but a key party in the liquidation project.

An opportunity for unity and comprehensive national revival

This fallacy of betting on the American role could be a pivotal moment that opens the door for revitalizing the Palestinian situation; if Palestinian leaderships read it well and draw lessons from it through: First: immediately working to implement the Beijing Agreement to restore the role and status of the Palestine Liberation Organization and rebuild it as a national front uniting all Palestinians.

Second: formulating a national program based on liberation and rights, not on managing crises or waiting for "American favors or gifts."

Third: activating tools of popular power and diplomacy in alliance with international forces and peoples that reject genocide as they reject turning the United Nations into an annex of the White House.

All Palestinians face urgent obligations to close the chapter of division and confront the imminent dangers to the national destiny as a whole. This necessitates the immediate formation of a national unity government authorized to address all the consequences of genocide and what has befallen the political system in all its known ailments to confront major dangers, including serious preparations for comprehensive general elections within a timeframe agreed upon to restore the trust of the people that cannot be entrusted to anyone else.

Are we serious about drawing lessons?

It is no longer possible to continue playing the Israeli game that the problem lies with "Hamas" or with "the authority." The American-Israeli targeting includes all Palestinians. This truth should be the starting point for overcoming division and restoring the battle for freedom and liberation from occupation.

The American "Next Day" plan.. a disguised colonial mandate and legitimization of displacement under an economic facade.

Dr. Hassan Ayoub: Work on this plan began with the onset of the aggression against the sector to turn it into an isolated area that can later be linked to Western capital projects.

Dr. Ahmed Rafiq Awad: The timing of the leak of the plan just before the General Assembly meetings aims to undermine the idea of recognizing the Palestinian state.

Dr. Abdul Majid Suwailem: The U.S. administration is pressuring for a military resolution that allows Israel to end the resistance and then transfer the management of the sector directly to Washington.

Dr. Jamal Harfoush: The plan was prepared in advance within American and Israeli strategic think tanks and was waiting for the appropriate "pretext" to market it.

Riham Awda: Implementing this plan represents an attempt to thwart any international movement to recognize or establish a Palestinian state in the future.

Dr. Amr Hussein: Any reconstruction projects must be based on the right of the Palestinian people to their land and sovereignty, not on attempts at demographic engineering.

In light of the escalating Israeli aggression on the Gaza Strip, the outlines of a dangerous plan under American guardianship have emerged for the "day after" the war in Gaza, within a vision aimed at transforming the sector into an "investment and real estate area" devoid of its inhabitants, in a practical model for the geographic and historical liquidation of the Palestinian presence, and removing Gaza from the Palestinian state.

According to writers, analysts, specialists, and university professors, in separate conversations with "Y," this plan, which was discussed in Washington in American meetings with the participation of Israeli and international figures, is presented under the guise of reconstruction, but in essence represents a disguised colonial guardianship aimed at isolating Gaza and later linking it to Western capital projects and ambitions for its resources.

They confirm that this plan is not merely about reconstruction; it carries destructive demographic, security, and cultural dimensions, aiming to empty the land of its inhabitants through disguised displacement under the names of "voluntary migration" or granting symbolic compensation, while also seeking to create a separate political entity in Gaza, under direct foreign guardianship, while retaining Israeli digital security control, and transforming the issue from a national liberation cause into a humanitarian investment file.

The deliberate timing of the leak of this plan just before the United Nations General Assembly meetings, according to writers, analysts, specialists, and university professors, reveals its dangerous political dimensions, which aim to undermine the idea of recognizing the Palestinian state and thwart any international movement in this direction.

"An investment and real estate area" devoid of its inhabitants

Political science professor and American affairs specialist, Dr. Hassan Ayoub, warns of the danger of the "American-Israeli plan to liquidate the Palestinian cause," which was evident in the meeting held by the U.S. administration a few days ago with the participation of Jared Kushner, Tony Blair, and figures from the occupation government, including Foreign Minister Gideon Sa'ar and Netanyahu's advisor Ron Dermer, with the complete exclusion of Palestinians and Arabs from the discussion table.

Ayoub clarifies that what happened in the meeting reflects the transition of ideas proposed by Kushner since the early weeks of the genocide in Gaza to a clearer level, where he spoke at that time about transforming the sector into an "investment and real estate area" devoid of its inhabitants.

Ayoub points to Kushner's presence in the Gaza envelope settlements in the early weeks of the war and his description of the sector as an ideal investment project, which clearly reveals the brutal nature of capitalism allied with fascist thought.

A purifying ideology based on killing and extermination

Ayoub confirms that this is not merely "savage capitalism" in the traditional sense of the 19th century, but a system supported by a purifying ideology based on killing and extermination.

Ayoub explains that the plan being discussed, including the establishment of a new fund similar to the "Gaza Reconstruction Fund," reflects a practical model for the liquidation of the Palestinian presence, which explains Hamas's insistence in negotiations to exclude the current fund from managing aid, while Washington and Tel Aviv insist on its continuation.

Ayoub sees what is happening as a "rehearsal" for what is to come: imposing choices on Palestinians either to accept residential apartments instead of their lands or to receive "trivial amounts" in exchange for their homelands.

Ayoub emphasizes that this plan is not a recent development; it has been in the

The scoundrels in the wolf's den

In the barn stand the wolves, each one holding its illusions under its arm and its index finger on its lips, savoring its share of the hot cake, waiting for the opportune moment to bite off more than it can chew, and pouncing on its prey, which has been weakened by hunger and the constant wandering among the hills of rubble, to extend a lifeline by uprooting it from its land, allowing it to establish its dreams on the ruins and the remains of children.

This is the image as you see it in all its dimensions and scoundrels, who wear ties and descend from their liquid maps to the desolate land, to manipulate geography and shift demographics, to establish the "Riviera" with tourist resorts and smart cities on the sands mixed with the blood of the victims and their flowing souls, without the slightest punishment or accountability for the killers.

There is no longer any doubt that Trump is the godfather of genocide and its exclusive patron, the keeper of its hell who refuses to extinguish its flames, even with a partial truce, as Netanyahu admitted in a leaked conversation that he does not speak out of desire, but is merely a recipient of instructions from the real estate mogul who awarded him the contracts and granted him a grace period, after his carts stumbled in accomplishing the task within the specified timeframe for the bid.

It is merely a collection of dreams and a grasp of wind.

The ambiguous relationship between Israel and Hamas

Dr. Ibrahim Nairat

Dr. Ibrahim Nairat

Opinion Writer

For many years, there has been extensive debate about the nature of the indirect relationship between Hamas and Israel, a relationship that appears on the surface to be a bloody confrontation without respite, but in depth carries complexities that make it more akin to a tangle of conflicting interests than an absolute conflict. Israel, for its part, has benefited from the presence of Hamas in Gaza as it serves as the ideal adversary that justifies the continuation of the blockade and military operations, while also covering its political project to undermine the idea of a unified Palestinian state. The mere existence of an antagonistic entity in Gaza allows it to present to the world a constant narrative of a threat to its security, and provides an opportunity to weaken the Palestinian Authority in the West Bank and block any political path that might lead to a two-state solution.

In this specific context, Hamas constitutes a valuable asset for the Israeli right, which rejects political settlement and bets on entrenching control over Palestinian land. Hamas, with its rhetoric rejecting recognition of Israel and its rockets that are launched from Gaza from time to time, presents the right as victorious in the ongoing battle for "Israel's security." This reality serves right-wing parties within Israel, as it unifies public opinion behind them and weakens the arguments of their opponents from centrist or leftist currents that advocate for negotiations and settlements. Thus, the existence of Hamas, even if hostile, becomes an ideal excuse that the right raises against the international community, asserting that there is no Palestinian partner capable of making peace.

As for Hamas, it has built its discourse and legitimacy on the idea of continuous resistance against occupation, realizing that the ongoing confrontation with Israel is what allows it to remain at the forefront of the Palestinian scene. In the absence of a unifying national project or practical ability to end the occupation, the continuous confrontation has turned into a political asset for the movement, as it presents itself as the entity that has not conceded or entered into peace agreements that compromise historical rights. In this sense, despite the declared animosity between Israel and Hamas, each has indirectly reinforced the position of the other; Israel has found in Hamas a justification for perpetuating the reality of Palestinian division and the rise of the right internally, while Hamas has found in Israel a permanent enemy that justifies its existence and its political and military choices.

This ambiguous relationship explains how every round of war between the two parties ends with a return to square one, without a definitive resolution and without a fundamental change in reality. In fact, each side emerges from the war more committed to its options and more capable of justifying them to its audience. Thus, Hamas, whether intentionally or unintentionally, becomes a pawn in the hands of Israel and a renewed ammunition for the right within it, while Israel, in turn, becomes the enemy that grants Hamas legitimacy and continuity. Ultimately, it is the Palestinian people who pay the highest price, caught between an occupying power imposing its policies by force and a resistance movement justifying the continuation of division under the pretext of open conflict.

However, this equation has not remained confined within the borders of Palestine and Israel; it has reflected on the entire region. Some Arab parties have found in the persistence of Palestinian division a justification for marginalizing the issue or normalizing relations with Israel on the grounds that the Palestinians are unable to unite their ranks. Conversely, other regional powers such as Iran, Turkey, and Qatar invest in supporting Hamas to enhance their regional influence and present themselves as protectors of the Palestinian cause. On the international level, major powers have often exploited the existence of Hamas to justify their bias towards Israel under the banner of "fighting terrorism," which has allowed Israel to expand its influence and diplomatic relations in the West. Thus, the scene becomes more complicated, as the ambiguous relationship between Israel and Hamas is not limited to two conflicting parties, but transforms into a regional and international card used to redraw the balance of power in the Middle East.

To break the vicious cycle between Israel and Hamas and to mitigate its effects on the Palestinians, the focus must first be on internal Palestinian unity, as ending the division between Gaza and the West Bank is the cornerstone of any successful political path. The existence of a unified Palestinian leadership capable of negotiating with a unified voice reduces the chances of the division being exploited by Israel or any regional party to achieve its own interests, and this requires serious national dialogue and consensus on a unified political program and reform of Palestinian institutions to ensure transparency and accountability. At the same time, the international community must be more just in dealing with the parties to the conflict, so that the existence of Hamas is not used as an excuse to justify Israeli settlement or military policies. Supporting tangible international pressure mechanisms on Israel to stop settlement expansion and lift the blockade, while providing concrete incentives for Palestinians to enhance stability and development, can help

British Foreign Secretary: The famine in Gaza is man-made.

British Foreign Secretary David Lammy stated that the famine in Gaza is "man-made," referring to the systematic starvation imposed by Tel Aviv on the Palestinians, expressing his deep anger at the Israeli government's refusal to allow aid to enter.

In a speech during a session in the British Parliament on Monday evening, Lammy pointed to the need for a comprehensive humanitarian response to prevent further death in the besieged Gaza Strip.

He added: "This is a man-made famine in the 21st century, and the Israeli government's refusal to allow aid to enter adequately angers me."

Lammy warned of the worsening famine in Gaza if necessary measures are not taken, noting that more than 300 people, including 119 children, have died from malnutrition since July 1.

He announced that his country will provide an additional £15 million in aid and medical care to the Palestinians in the Gaza Strip.

He also pointed out that he is working to bring more injured children and those suffering from serious illnesses from Gaza to Britain for treatment.

He confirmed that if no progress is made regarding a ceasefire in Gaza, Britain will take steps to recognize the State of Palestine at the United Nations General Assembly this September.

Ro’ya correspondent: Occupation forces arrest the mayor of Hebron, Taysir Abu Sneina, after storming his home.

In a new escalation in the occupied West Bank, Israeli occupation forces arrested the mayor of Hebron, Taysir Abu Sneina, early Tuesday morning after raiding his home in the city.

Local and family sources reported that an Israeli military force stormed Abu Sneina's home in the early hours of dawn, searched it, and vandalized its contents before taking him to an unknown location.

Military vehicles surrounded the area around the mayor's house before soldiers forcibly entered the home. The search operation included deliberate destruction of furniture and belongings.

The occupation authorities have not yet announced the reasons for Abu Sneina's arrest, who is considered a prominent political figure in Hebron Governorate and one of its largest municipalities.

Abu Sneina's arrest comes amid a campaign of daily arrests and raids carried out by the occupation forces in various cities and villages of the West Bank. These campaigns target activists, politicians, and Palestinian figures, increasing the tension and unrest in the occupied territories.

The arrest of an elected mayor is viewed as a provocative step aimed at undermining the work of elected Palestinian institutions and imposing a reality of military force.

Gaza under bombardment.. dozens of dead and injured civilians due to the occupation's airstrikes.

Gaza witnessed a violent night on Tuesday, as Israeli airstrikes resulted in dozens of dead and wounded, most of whom were children and women, according to medical sources at Al-Shifa Medical Complex in Gaza City.

The bombardment focused on Gaza City, where warplanes targeted an inhabited house in the Sheikh Radwan neighborhood and a residential building in the Tal al-Hawa neighborhood.

Rescue and civil defense teams confirmed that the majority of the victims pulled from the rubble are civilians, raising the toll of human losses.

A tent for displaced persons in the Mawasi area of Khan Younis in the southern sector was also bombed, resulting in injuries to several residents who sought refuge there to escape the airstrikes in other areas, despite it being previously classified by the occupation as a 'safe' place.

In the northern sector, occupation forces continued their ground operations and systematic destruction of homes and infrastructure, using explosive robots to demolish residential blocks.

Artillery shelling and gunfire from drones and military vehicles continued throughout the night, in an attempt to impose a state of constant terror and prevent any return to normal life in the northern areas.

Shocking report .. Occupation soldiers "We have reached the breaking point"

The American newspaper "The Wall Street Journal" revealed a state of deep exhaustion and increasing doubts prevailing among the ranks of the occupying soldiers and officers, nearly two years into continuous fighting.

The report highlighted the severe exhaustion experienced by the soldiers. After serving on multiple fronts for long periods, many of them confirmed that they are "completely exhausted."

This condition is not limited to the physical aspect alone, but extends to include immense psychological pressure due to the prolonged duration of military operations in Gaza and the lack of a clear end in sight.

This exhaustion comes at a critical time, as military operations heavily rely on reserve forces, who have left their civilian lives and jobs to engage in a fight that does not seem to have a near end.

Perhaps the most concerning aspect of the report is the increasing questions among the soldiers themselves regarding the goals and justification of the war.

Widespread arrests and new assaults by settlers in the West Bank

Israeli occupation forces launched a wide campaign of arrests and raids at dawn today, Tuesday, targeting several provinces in the West Bank, while extremist settlers intensified their attacks and assaults on Palestinians.

Palestinian local sources reported that Israeli occupation forces stormed the cities of Nablus and Qalqilya in northern West Bank, conducting raids and arrests among citizens.

The sources added that the occupation forces also invaded Balata camp, the village of Kafr Qalil east of Nablus, the town of Yamoun west of Jenin, the town of Tammoun south of Tubas, the towns of Balaa and Anabta in the Tulkarm district, and the city of Yatta south of Hebron.

Meanwhile, the Palestinian Ministry of Health announced that 5 Palestinians from one family were injured by the gunfire of the occupation forces during their incursion into the town of Tammoun south of Tubas.

The occupation army opened fire on a vehicle carrying a family, including children, with one of the injuries being to the head. The Palestinian Red Crescent confirmed that its crew members were directly shot at while attempting to rescue the injured.

In a related context, settlers attacked in Wadi Sa'ir northeast of Hebron, where they set fire to lands belonging to Palestinians and also attacked Palestinian homes in the same area.

Settlers also attacked Palestinian farmers in the Wardan area at the outskirts of the town of Beit Ummar north of Hebron city.

Sources told Al Jazeera that settlers assaulted the farmers and prevented them from reaching their lands.

Palestinian eyewitnesses reported that an Israeli settler ran over a Palestinian girl on the settlement road leading to the town of Samu' south of Hebron in the West Bank.

Palestinian media outlets also published clips of a gathering of Palestinian youths to confront an attack launched by extremist settlers in the hill area of the town of Sinjil north of Ramallah.

Alongside the genocide in Gaza, the Israeli army and settlers have escalated their assaults in the West Bank, including East Jerusalem, resulting in the martyrdom of at least 1,016 Palestinians and the injury of about 7,000 others, in addition to the arrest of more than 18,500 Palestinians, according to Palestinian data.

The Secretary-General of the International Federation of Journalists, Anthony Bellanger, stated that the Israeli army is killing journalists who possess nothing but a camera or a phone, providing unconvincing justifications and facing no accountability, emphasizing that this behavior constitutes a war crime.

Bellanger added in an interview that he visited Palestine and witnessed the suffering of Palestinians in the West Bank, feeling deep pain when he saw journalists who had been injured, while impunity reigns supreme.

Bellanger rejected describing what is happening in the Gaza Strip as a war, stating that what is occurring is an army facing a group of journalists, and thus it is time for journalists around the world to act to save their colleagues in Gaza.

He expressed his gratitude to the journalistic institutions that participated in the solidarity campaign with Palestinian journalists, saying it is a gesture of solidarity with the residents of the Strip and important, although symbolic and will not solve the problem.

The campaign must be escalated, and Bellanger emphasized the need to intensify the journalistic campaign against Israel to shed light on the catastrophic situation and the massacre being committed against journalists in Gaza who are conveying the truth away from Israeli propaganda.

Bellanger called on international journalists to enter the Gaza Strip, stating that the International Federation of Journalists has been demanding the entry of prominent foreign journalists into the Strip since the beginning of the war, but to no avail.

He said it is clear that journalists are not welcome in Gaza, calling for major institutions to be allowed to enter the Strip to document the war, convey the reality of what is happening, and protect the journalists who are still working there.

This was reported by the "Walla" news site, while leftist Israelis from the "Standing Together" movement, along with Palestinians in the territories occupied in 1948, usually participate in demonstrations and events condemning the practices of the occupying army in Gaza.

The leftist movement operates in "Israel," amidst a society that largely supports Netanyahu in his war against Gaza, according to previous polls, and focuses on issues of social justice and equality, as well as opposing the occupation and policies of racial discrimination against Palestinians.

Another larger number of Israelis are demonstrating to demand the release of Israeli prisoners held by Palestinian factions in Gaza, even if it requires stopping the war.

The Hebrew site stated: "A petition was submitted to the Supreme Court (the highest judicial authority) against the decision of the Security Cabinet (the Cabinet) to occupy the city of Gaza."

The petition demands the "annulment of the Cabinet's decision to adopt Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu's proposal to control the city of Gaza."

According to the petition, "the decision was made contrary to the position of the Israeli army and other security agencies, and without the Cabinet adequately studying the existential and international implications of this decision."

The petition was submitted by a group of Israeli citizens, including retired army officers, industrialists, and lawyers.

"Walla" reported that the petitioners requested the publication of the reasons on which the "Cabinet" relied when making its decision to occupy the city of Gaza.

They wrote: "Since the petitioners recognize the legal limitations of this esteemed court's intervention in the political decisions of the executive authority with political and military aspects, the court is required, at the very least, to order the defendant to publicly disclose the reasons for this decision."

They stated that "the Israeli army, led by Chief of Staff Eyal Zamir, strongly opposed the decision, warning that the planned occupation would endanger the lives of the kidnapped (prisoners) and exacerbate the exhaustion of regular and reserve forces."

They added: "The Chief of Staff also indicated that this step could lead to the collapse of the reserve system, which poses a danger to national security, yet the Cabinet decided to reject his position."

They affirmed that the decision to occupy Gaza "was made by a minority government, which should have acted with extreme caution in such crucial matters, especially in light of the criminal indictment against the Prime Minister."

According to the petitioners, Netanyahu's considerations behind the decision to occupy Gaza may be "subjective, rather than objective, and political and personal."

In a related context, the Hebrew newspaper "Yedioth Ahronoth" reported on Monday evening, citing Israeli ministers, that Chief of Staff Zamir "did everything he could to persuade against the plan, but he made it clear several times that he would implement it."

They added: "He did everything he could over the past month – in all forums – to try to influence towards his thesis."

The Security Cabinet met on Sunday to discuss plans to occupy the city, referred to as "Gideon's Chariots 2," which follows the "Gideon's Chariots" launched by the Israeli army in the Gaza Strip between May 16 and August 6 of last year.

Trump: The influence of the occupation in Congress has diminished and the war must end.

U.S. President Donald Trump criticized what he described as a significant decline in the influence of the occupation within the halls of the U.S. Congress, emphasizing the need to end the ongoing war that harms its image on the international stage.

Trump expressed his conviction that the lobbying groups that were considered the strongest in Washington about 15 years ago have lost their absolute control over Congress. He stated, "The occupation was the strongest lobbying group I have seen and had complete control over Congress, and now it has lost that."

He added that this decline has affected their ability to direct policies in a way that serves their interests as it did in the past.

Trump addressed the ongoing war, noting that it is causing significant damage to the occupation in terms of global public relations. He explained, saying, "Tel Aviv may win the war, but it is not gaining influence in the world of public relations, and this harms it."

He stressed the necessity of ending this conflict, asserting, "They will have to end this war, and there is no doubt that it harms the occupation."

In a related context, Trump reminded of what he considers unprecedented support he provided to the occupation during his presidency. He declared, "No one has done more for the occupation than I have," citing actions and decisions made by his administration, including "the recent strikes on Iran," which he viewed as a service to the security of the occupation.

These statements come at a critical time, reflecting a perspective gaining momentum in some American political circles regarding the political influence of the occupation and the impact of the current conflict on its international standing.

Netanyahu is considering "shortening" the war against Gaza for fear of losing Washington's support.

The Israeli Broadcasting Authority claimed that Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu is considering shortening the duration of the war on the Gaza Strip for fear of losing American support, as it is 'not unlimited', especially from the current Republican administration.

Meanwhile, U.S. President Donald Trump confirmed: 'Israel was the strongest lobbying group I have seen and had complete control over Congress, and now it has lost that.'

The authority reported that close associates of Netanyahu said he is 'thinking about shortening the war timelines from what was planned, fearing that Israel might lose Republican support in the war.'

In recent days, Netanyahu told ministers of the security cabinet 'the cabinet': 'Although Israel has support from Trump, it is not unlimited.'

The authority added: 'Netanyahu said this to the ministers in the cabinet and in private meetings, after some claimed that Israel had an unlimited credit from Trump to continue the war.'

A week ago, Trump told reporters in his office that he is 'in constant contact with Netanyahu regarding the war in Gaza, and he believes that in the next two or three weeks there will be a decisive end to the war.'

The U.S. president said: 'We must not forget October 7 (the attack launched by Hamas on military bases and Israeli settlements in 2023), but this matter (the war on Gaza) must be ended.'

At the end of July, the American newspaper 'The Atlantic' reported, citing two American sources, that Trump believes Netanyahu 'is prolonging the war in Gaza to stay in power', contrary to the president's desire to end it.

According to the report, Trump and some of his aides believe that the Israeli war objectives in Gaza 'have long been achieved', and that Netanyahu chose to continue the war for political motives.

At that time, a spokesperson for the Israeli Prime Minister responded, claiming that he 'does not comment on false news.'

This comes at a time when Israel is preparing to occupy the city of Gaza, claiming 'to defeat Hamas and return the captives', amid international warnings that this could lead to the complete destruction of the sector and increase the suffering and displacement of Palestinians.

Israel is set to begin on Tuesday the recruitment of about 60,000 reserve soldiers in preparation for the occupation of the city of Gaza, according to the Hebrew newspaper 'Maariv.'

Trump told the Daily Caller: 'Israel was the strongest lobbying group I have seen and had complete control over Congress, and now it has lost that… They will have to end this war, and there is no doubt it harms Israel, and no one has done more for Israel than I have, including the recent strikes on Iran.'

The cabinet met on Sunday to discuss plans for the occupation of the city called 'Gideon Vehicles 2', which comes as a continuation of 'Gideon Vehicles' launched by the occupation army in the Gaza Strip between May 16 and August 6.

On Sunday, 'Channel 12' revealed a confidential internal document from the army acknowledging the failure of the 'Gideon Vehicles' operation to achieve its declared goals, primarily defeating 'Hamas' and returning Israeli captives from Gaza.

With American support, 'Israel' has been committing genocide in Gaza since October 7, 2023, including killing, starvation, destruction, and forced displacement, ignoring all international calls and orders from the International Court of Justice to stop it.

The Israeli genocide has resulted in 63,557 martyrs and 160,660 injured Palestinians, most of whom are children and women, more than 9,000 missing, hundreds of thousands displaced, and famine that has killed 348 Palestinians, including 127 children.

Abbas: Israel wants to completely destroy Palestine.

The Palestinian President Mahmoud Abbas warned that Israel wants to completely destroy Palestine after it has nearly destroyed the Gaza Strip, emphasizing that Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu wants to continue the genocide in Gaza for personal reasons.

Abbas said in an interview with Saudi Arabia's "Al Arabiya" channel on Monday evening: "Israel wants to completely destroy Palestine; it does not want to see the Palestinian entity, and that is why it did what it did after October 7, 2023, and nearly destroyed Gaza completely."

He added: "This is what Israel is striving for, and this is what it wants and continues (to pursue), and the international community is used to making decisions that are not implemented (...) a thousand decisions by the United Nations have not seen one implemented."

Abbas further stated: "The Palestinian situation is now in a state of destruction, not only in Gaza but also in the occupied West Bank."

With American support, Israel has been committing genocide in Gaza since October 7, 2023, resulting in 63,557 deaths and 160,660 injuries among Palestinians, most of whom are children and women, over 9,000 missing, hundreds of thousands displaced, and famine that has killed 348 Palestinians, including 127 children.

Alongside the genocide in Gaza, the Israeli army and settlers have intensified their attacks in the West Bank, including East Jerusalem, resulting in the deaths of at least 1,016 Palestinians and injuries to about 7,000 others, in addition to the arrest of more than 18,500, according to Palestinian data.

Abbas considered that "Netanyahu is determined to continue the genocide of the Palestinian people for personal reasons."

He explained: "Netanyahu is facing (in the courts) four cases (of corruption), each case could send him to prison if he were not the Prime Minister, and that is why he wants to remain Prime Minister so that he is not judged against."

Since 2019, Netanyahu has faced charges of corruption, bribery, and breach of trust, and his trial began in 2020 and is still ongoing, and he denies them, claiming they are a "political campaign aimed at overthrowing him."

Abbas stated that the priorities of the Palestinian Authority today are to continue efforts until the fighting in Gaza stops, and for humanitarian supplies to continue entering, then to halt the process of displacement.

He added that "the Palestinian Authority is ready and has the capabilities to take over Gaza after the war, and we have no objection to an Arab or Arab-international partnership."

The President expressed hope for Palestine to gain more international recognition during the United Nations meetings this month, saying: "We currently have 149 countries recognizing us, and God willing, we expect (more) in the coming days; heads of states (whom he did not name) have contacted me informing me that they will recognize the State of Palestine, God willing."

Abbas announced Palestine's intention to go to the United Nations, without specifying the time, "with the aim of obtaining full membership instead of observer state status (since 2012)."

Regarding ongoing talks with Saudi Arabia for four years, Abbas said: "During which the Kingdom pointed to several points in a dialogue it is conducting with the United States."

He continued: "So far, Saudi Arabia is committed to every letter and every word (...) and there will be no Saudi interest implemented before the Palestinian state is established; this is the Saudi position and it has not changed."

On multiple occasions, Saudi Arabia has announced its refusal to establish diplomatic relations with Israel without the establishment of an independent Palestinian state, affirming that "this firm position is not subject to negotiation or bargaining."

The President reiterated his conditions for the entry of Hamas into the Palestine Liberation Organization by saying: "For Hamas to be a political part of the Palestinian people, it must recognize the Palestine Liberation Organization and its commitments and accept it, and recognize international legitimacy, and the one state, one people, one army, and one weapon."

The Palestinian arena has been suffering from political and geographical division since 2007, where Hamas and a government it formed control the Gaza Strip, while the West Bank is managed by a government formed by the Fatah movement led by Mahmoud Abbas.

The Palestinian President stated that the Palestinian camps in Lebanon will continue to hand over their weapons to the Lebanese army, to "keep them safe with them."

He noted: "We are determined to withdraw all Palestinian weapons from Lebanon; I want nothing with Lebanon but a normal relationship, and to maintain its unity and complete security."

Borrell calls for suing the European Union for its silence on the genocide in Gaza.

The journalist Claudio Pérez -in an article for the Spanish newspaper El País- stated that the former High Representative for Foreign Affairs of the European Union, Josep Borrell, called on member states to sue the Union's institutions for their failure to act regarding the war in Gaza.

He added that several countries have expressed support for the establishment of a Palestinian state or are preparing to take this step ahead of the upcoming United Nations meeting. Borrell's statement -according to the article- comes at a time when the conviction among European peoples, especially in Spain, is growing that what is happening in the Gaza Strip amounts to "genocide," amid increasing calls for decisive stances towards Israel.

Pérez pointed out that thousands of academics and thinkers in Europe and the United States have described the military escalation as "genocide," yet Brussels continues to maintain silence, as neither trade relations have been cut nor arms sales halted.

In this context, Borrell stated that "there is a clear will to exterminate the Palestinian people, and if Israel is violating human rights -and all indicators suggest this- then any member state like Spain can bring the matter to European courts to activate human rights treaties."

Borrell emphasized that "Gaza has revealed Europe's moral bankruptcy, and it is time to act; this indifference is unacceptable, as treaties are clear about the consequences of violating humanitarian law."

Borrell condemned Europe's inaction regarding the suffering of Palestinians, asserting that the image the continent presents of its moral and humanitarian values does not reflect reality, especially after several European leaders openly declared their support for Israel.

Borrell pointed fingers at European leadership, saying, "The generation of German politicians born after World War II and still in power is burdened by a guilt complex regarding Germany's historical role in the Holocaust, and they believe that being right always means protecting Israel."

He added that the historical legacy of the Holocaust "which extends to countries like Austria and Slovakia paralyzes the European stance, with only a few member states supporting Israel unconditionally."

The article's author noted that Europe faces a similar moral dilemma in Ukraine, where the continent's historical fear of the Russian nuclear threat has delayed military assistance to Kyiv and exacerbated the war.

Borrell concluded -according to the article- that the 27 member states must resort to using European courts as a tool to stop Israel's violations in Gaza, affirming that the time has come to act to end the political and moral stalemate in Europe.

The Guardian: Israel prevents the world from knowing what is happening in Gaza by targeting journalists.

The Israeli occupation continues to obscure what is happening in Gaza in terms of destruction, killing, and displacement due to the genocide it has been perpetrating in the enclave since October 7, 2023, targeting journalists and anyone who conveys the truth.

The Guardian stated in its editorial that Israel does not want the world to see what it is doing in Gaza, which is why it targets journalists for killing.

It began its editorial: "Day by day, the death toll rises, war crimes escalate, and anger grows. Last Wednesday, the Pope called on Israel to stop the 'collective punishment' of Gaza's residents, and the next day, António Guterres, the UN Secretary-General, warned that 'the levels of death and destruction are unprecedented in recent times.'

More than 500 UN staff pressured the High Commissioner for Human Rights, Volker Turk, to describe what is happening as genocide, and half of the registered voters in the United States have already concluded that this is what Israel is doing in Gaza.

The newspaper added that the pain is intensifying. On Friday, the Israeli army declared the famine-stricken city of Gaza a combat zone, intensifying its assault and ending the 'tactical pauses' that allowed for the delivery of limited amounts of food, which were still completely insufficient.

It continued that many residents are unable to flee again and fear they will not be safer anywhere else, as Israel has attacked parts of the areas it described as 'humanitarian zones.'

The newspaper added that 'Israel can stop the international condemnation of its campaign of genocide, and instead, it tries to prevent us from knowing more about it: by silencing witnesses.'

It is determined to control the narrative of the war, even though its figures sometimes provide a grim view of the situation and will go to great lengths in this direction.

According to the Committee to Protect Journalists, at least 189 Palestinian journalists have been targeted in Gaza; while others estimate the number of journalists to be higher than that.

It was reported that five journalists were martyred in a single raid last week.

The newspaper noted that the organizations 'Reporters Without Borders' and 'Avaaz,' a nonprofit organization working to promote global activism, called on Israel to fulfill its international obligations to protect journalists as civilians and to open Gaza's borders so that international journalists can cover events freely.

The Guardian published a special report listing the names of all those identified by the 'Committee to Protect Journalists' as casualties: women and men, such as Fatima Hassouna, Hamza Al-Dahdouh, and Anas Al-Sharif, who were admired for their work and, of course, deeply loved as daughters, fathers, sisters, and friends.

These are profound personal losses, but they also represent a generation of journalists that has been erased and is irreplaceable.

The Director-General of 'Reporters Without Borders,' Christophe Deloire, warned, saying: 'At this rate of journalist killings in Gaza by the Israeli army, soon there will be no one left to tell you the truth.'

The newspaper added that the civilian death toll in Gaza is staggering, and journalists face particular danger when they risk their lives to cover events while others try to flee.

It continued that the killing of such a large number of individuals clearly identified as media members, in some cases after being threatened because of their work or defamed, leaves no doubt that they were targeted.

The Committee to Protect Journalists stated that this is 'the deadliest and most deliberate attempt to kill and silence journalists ever.'

It added: 'Palestinian journalists are threatened, directly targeted, and killed by Israeli forces, and they are also arbitrarily detained and tortured in retaliation for their work.'

It stated that journalists in Gaza work under unbearable conditions and suffer from hunger and exhaustion, stopping their journalistic work to find food for their families or to help retrieve bodies from under the rubble or assist their injured relatives in finding shelter, many of whom are separated from their loved ones and many have buried their loved ones.

Everyone knows that by bearing witness, they increase the danger they face; they continue to defend the truth in the face of Israel's attempts to conceal it, and they must defend themselves.

Gaza without education for the third year, and illiteracy threatens primary stage students.

If it weren't for the war, the girl "Nay" would be sitting in a first-grade classroom, but today she is a displaced person living in a tent with her family of four in the city of Deir al-Balah in the middle of the Gaza Strip. Nay Al-Masri (6 years old) knows nothing about school except that it is a "shelter" where she spent months in the city of Rafah in the south of the Strip when she and her family were displaced in the first week of the outbreak of the Israeli war on October 7, 2023, from their home in the Jabalia refugee camp in the north, and they were forced to leave the city on the eve of its invasion towards Deir al-Balah.

At that time, Nay was four years old, and due to the consequences of the war and displacement, her mother, Nermin Yahya (27 years old), told Al Jazeera Net that she did not have the opportunity to enroll her in kindergarten to learn the basics of reading and writing. An unknown fate awaits, and schools in the occupied Palestinian territories are about to open their doors for the new school year, while students in Gaza face an unknown educational fate for the third consecutive year of halted educational progress.

Nermin looks at her daughter Nay and says with sorrow, "I don't know when I will see Nay in a school uniform standing in the morning line listening to the school bell instead of the sounds of rocket and bomb explosions." The mother's attempts to teach her daughter to hold a pencil and to teach her numbers and letters have failed.

The Palestinian presidency warns: Any attempt to annex the West Bank is "illegitimate" and will close the doors to stability in the region.

In a strongly worded statement, the Palestinian presidency warned that any "Israeli" attempt to annex parts of the West Bank or impose sovereignty over it is "illegitimate" and will completely undermine the chances of achieving security and stability in the region and the world.

The official spokesperson for the presidency, Nabil Abu Rudeineh, confirmed that these attempts, like settlement activities, are condemned and rejected and represent a blatant violation of international law.

Abu Rudeineh clarified that the Israeli plans directly contradict the foundations of international legitimacy, citing several binding UN resolutions that form the basis for any political solution, most notably: Security Council Resolutions 242 (1967), 338 (1973), and Resolution 2334 (2016), which explicitly condemns settlement activities and considers them illegal.

He emphasized that these resolutions invalidate any attempt to legitimize the Israeli occupation of Palestinian land.

The spokesperson for the presidency considered that the occupying government seeks, through its escalation and annexation plans, to undermine international efforts aimed at stopping the war on the Gaza Strip and the assaults in the West Bank.

He added that the real goal is to end any opportunity for achieving a two-state solution, which enjoys broad international consensus, and for which the anticipated New York peace conference is being held.

This warning comes ahead of the international peace conference in New York on September 22, representing a preemptive step to set the Palestinian "red lines" before the international community.

The demand for the U.S. administration to explicitly "not encourage the occupation" is a direct message accusing Washington of providing political cover for Israel.

The call for "practical and serious steps" and the recognition of the State of Palestine is an attempt to shift the international position from verbal condemnations to tangible actions on the ground.

Abu Rudeineh reiterated that there is no sovereignty for the occupation over any inch of Palestinian land, calling on the international community to assume its responsibilities by fully recognizing the independent State of Palestine on the 1967 borders with East Jerusalem as its capital.

The clans of Hebron reject Israel's plan to separate the governorate from the West Bank.

Palestinian clans in the Hebron governorate in the southern West Bank rejected an Israeli plan on Monday aimed at separating the governorate from the influence of the Palestinian National Authority and handing it over to tribal rule.

This came during a demonstration organized in front of the Hebron governorate headquarters, called by the clans and Palestinian factions in response to Israeli statements regarding plans to separate Hebron from the West Bank and hand it over to tribal rule.

On Friday, the channel "Israel 24" reported that Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu would discuss a plan to separate the city of Hebron from the area under the influence of the Palestinian National Authority, replace the area's leaders with local clans, and establish a separate emirate, in response to the intention of several Western countries to recognize the State of Palestine.

During the demonstration, elders from several clans delivered speeches in which they affirmed their rejection of the Israeli plan.

Hebron Governor Khaled Dudin said in a speech before the crowd that "Hebron, which has given thousands of martyrs, wounded, and prisoners, will not sell the blood and suffering of its children and will not accept being separated from the homeland."

Dudin called for more unity and solidarity to confront the Israeli plans and thwart the conspiracies.

The Israeli channel reported on Friday: "It is expected that this entity (Hebron after its alleged separation) will recognize Israel as a Jewish state and join the Abraham Accords for normalization between Arab countries and Israel."

Many Western countries, including France and Britain, have announced their intention to recognize the State of Palestine during the United Nations General Assembly meetings in September.

For decades, Israel has occupied Palestine, refusing to withdraw and establish an independent Palestinian state with East Jerusalem as its capital, based on the borders prior to the 1967 war.

This comes while Israel, with American support, has been committing genocide since October 7, 2023, resulting in 63,557 deaths and 160,660 injuries among Palestinians, most of whom are children and women, over 9,000 missing, hundreds of thousands displaced, and a famine that has killed 348 Palestinians, including 127 children.

The American displacement plan is back in the spotlight, and Hamas responds: Gaza is not for sale.

Two officials from Hamas rejected what is being said about an American plan for the United States to take control of the Gaza Strip, evacuate its residents, and turn it into an economic and tourist area. This came in response to recent reports on this matter published in the American newspaper "Washington Post."

The Washington Post stated that the plan consists of 38 pages and stipulates a "voluntary" departure of residents to another country or to areas within the strip that are subject to restrictions, during the reconstruction period. The newspaper mentioned that the administration of President Donald Trump is considering this plan.

It continued that the plan was based on Trump's announced vision to transform Gaza into the "Riviera of the Middle East." According to the plan, the strip will be placed, during the reconstruction period, under the management of a fund named "Gaza Reconstruction, Economic Recovery and Transformation Fund" (GREAT Trust).

A worthless plan, but a member of Hamas's political bureau, Bassem Naeem, responded to these leaks by saying, "Soak it and drink its water, as the Palestinian saying goes," adding, "Gaza is not for sale."

Naeem added that Gaza "is not a city on the map or a forgotten geography, but is part of the greater Palestinian homeland." He affirmed Hamas's "rejection and our people's rejection" of the plan, which, according to the American newspaper, stipulates the transfer of all residents of the Palestinian strip outside Gaza, which will be placed under American supervision for 10 years to turn it into a tourist area and a center for advanced technology.

Another Hamas official stated that the movement "rejects all these plans that displace our people and keep the occupier on our land. They are worthless and unjust plans." He added that Hamas "has not received anything official regarding such plans. We heard about them in the media."

The U.S. State Department did not respond to a request for comment on this report.

A settler runs over his child in Samu' south of Hebron
