The Houthis attack Israel again, and Katz vows a harsh response.

The Israeli occupation army announced today, Thursday, that a missile launched from Yemen fell in an open area outside of Israel. This marks the third missile launched from Yemen towards Israel in less than 24 hours, while Israeli Defense Minister Israel Katz threatened the Houthis with a "harsh response."

The Israeli army stated that it also intercepted two drones launched from Yemen. For its part, the British Maritime Trade Operations Authority announced today, Thursday, that it received a report about a ship being targeted by an unknown projectile that fell into the Red Sea, 178 nautical miles northwest of the Yemeni city of Hodeidah, in an incident that brings tensions back to the forefront of international navigation in the region.

The authority stated in a statement that "the ship's captain reported that an unknown projectile fell into the sea close to the ship, along with severe electronic interference in the area," confirming that the crew is fine and that the ship continues its journey to its next destination.

The responsible party for the attack has not been identified, while the authority indicated that the relevant authorities have opened an investigation into the incident, urging passing ships to exercise caution and report any suspicious activity.

This development comes days after a similar incident southwest of the Saudi city of Yanbu, where the same British authority announced that it received a report from the captain of a ship -whose identity was not specified- about missile fragments of unknown origin scattered near his vessel, and hearing a loud explosion, without any damage occurring.

These incidents heighten fears of a resurgence of attacks on commercial ships in the Red Sea by the Ansar Allah group (Houthis), despite a decline in such attacks in recent months, especially with the group's confirmation of maintaining a ban on the passage of Israeli ships in the Red Sea until the end of the genocide in the Gaza Strip.

In a related context, Israeli Defense Minister Israel Katz escalated his rhetoric towards the Houthis, threatening them with a "harsh response," citing what was mentioned in the Old Testament.

He stated via the X platform: "The Houthis are launching missiles again at Israel. The strike of darkness, the strike of the firstborn, we will complete all ten strikes."

The Houthis had announced targeting Ben Gurion Airport with a ballistic missile, a day after intercepting two missiles launched from Yemen.

The Iran-backed group vowed to intensify its attacks on Israel in response to the killing of its Prime Minister and 11 other officials in an Israeli airstrike on Sana'a last week.

In another development, a government official in Sana'a reported that UN employees detained by the Houthis days ago are suspected of spying for Israel and the United States.

He clarified that those proven guilty will be referred to trial, while the United Nations confirmed that several of its employees have been held by the Houthis for years.

The UN envoy to Yemen, Hans Grundberg, announced last Sunday that the Houthis had detained at least 11 of the organization's employees following an Israeli airstrike that killed the Houthi Prime Minister Ahmed Ghaleb Nasser al-Rahawi and 9 ministers and government officials, in a new escalation that reflects the complexity of the Yemeni scene and its regional and international entanglements.

Among the detainees are employees of the World Food Programme and the United Nations Children's Fund (UNICEF). Dozens of others were also detained last Saturday "on suspicion of collaborating with Israel," according to a Yemeni security source who informed the French Press Agency at the time.

Even before the arrests on Sunday, the Houthis were holding 23 UN employees, some since 2021, in addition to others detained in June 2024 on charges of joining an "American-Israeli espionage network" operating under the guise of humanitarian organizations, accusations that the United Nations strongly rejected.

An Israeli soldier attempts suicide daily after participating in the Gaza war.. "I am a moving corpse"

An Israeli soldier revealed that he attempts suicide daily and his biggest dream is to receive a bullet between his eyes, during a testimony he gave before members of the Knesset's Foreign Affairs and Defense Committee.

The soldier was speaking before the committee on Wednesday, according to what the Knesset published on its website on Thursday regarding the committee's discussions about the military service law and the conscription of students from religious schools "Haredim".

He added: "He (the soldier) said passionately: We deal with many things here, but in the end, we do not deal with what is really important.. I am a 21-year-old young man, and my biggest dream, if you ask me, is to receive a bullet between my eyes. I am a moving corpse. I am a dead person."

He continued: "Do you know the feeling of lifting the bodies of your comrades with whom you shared sleep and underwent basic training, only for them to explode before your eyes moments later? I lost 23 comrades, and three days ago one of our soldiers committed suicide.. I see bodies before my eyes. And I do not want to live, I cannot live."

He mentioned, "It is impossible to continue in this situation, and if we are here to save lives, and if we do not wake up, then after this damned war, there will be a wave of suicides (here). We will see bodies in the streets."

On Monday, an Israeli soldier took his own life inside a military base in the north, raising the number of military suicides since the beginning of 2025 to 18, according to official Hebrew media.

The Hebrew broadcasting authority stated that "a fighter from the Golani Brigade in regular service (whose name was not mentioned) ended his life today (Monday), and he was found dead in a military base in northern Israel."

The Israeli military police opened an investigation into the soldier's death, and upon its conclusion, the results will be forwarded for examination by the military prosecution, according to the same source.

The authority did not clarify the circumstances of the soldier's suicide or at which base it occurred, but it indicated that "the number of soldiers who have ended their lives since the beginning of this year has reached 18."

About two weeks ago, reserve captain Yosef Chaim (28 years old) committed suicide and was found in the woods near "Ramat Boria" in the occupied territories.

The broadcasting authority reported that "with the increasing wave of suicides among Israeli soldiers, the head of the human resources branch in the army, Major General Dado Bar Kalifa, decided at the end of July to form a committee to examine the level of support provided to discharged soldiers and reservists outside active service, who ended their lives due to their military service."

This announcement by Kalifa came after the suicide of a reserve soldier in the "401 Armored Brigade," Roi Vaserstein, following his exposure to horrific scenes during the war in Gaza, according to the Israeli army radio.

July alone witnessed the suicide of 7 Israeli soldiers, according to the Hebrew newspaper "Haaretz."

According to an investigation by the occupation army published during August, most suicide cases were attributed to harsh conditions faced by soldiers during combat in the Gaza Strip.

In numbers.. Violations of the occupation in the education sector in Palestine

Due to its financial crisis, the Palestinian Authority did not open the new academic year in the West Bank, which was scheduled for last Monday, but postponed it by a week, while students in the Gaza Strip continue to be deprived of education since the end of October 2023.

On Tuesday, Prime Minister Mohammad Mustafa emphasized during his government's weekly session that the economic and financial challenges are "politically motivated," adding that efforts are underway to secure a payment of salaries for public employees within days, as government employees received their last salary at the end of July at a rate of 60% for the month of May.

For the fourth consecutive month, Israel refuses to transfer tax revenues it collects from the crossings it controls for the benefit of the Authority, which have exceeded 3 billion shekels, from which the majority of the salary bill is paid.

Mustafa pointed to preparations for the start of the academic year on time, but postponed it "due to Israeli policies that have cast a shadow over the financial and economic situation," considering this a "message to the international community that Israeli measures affect all aspects of life in Palestine, including education."

Below is an informational overview of the reality of education in Palestine and the violations of the occupation in this sector since October 7, 2023, based on data from the Ministry of Education and Higher Education up to September 2 of this year.

The total number of school students in the West Bank, including Jerusalem and the Gaza Strip, is estimated at about 1.53 million students, of whom 829,705 are in the West Bank and about 700,000 in the Gaza Strip.

While students in the Gaza Strip continue to be deprived of education due to the genocide war, students in the West Bank for the 2026/2025 academic year are distributed as follows: 623,140 in public schools, 47,301 students in schools of the United Nations Relief and Works Agency for Palestine Refugees in the Near East (UNRWA), and 159,264 students in private schools.

According to data from the Ministry of Education and Higher Education, the number of schools for the 2026/2025 academic year in the West Bank is 2,497: including 1,948 public schools, 96 affiliated with the agency, and 453 private schools.

The total number of teachers is 53,111, of whom 40,127 are in public sector schools, 1,958 in UNRWA schools, and 1,026 in private schools.

The violations of the occupation have affected the education sector in all its components, including schools and universities, which have lost 18,877 of their students and educational staff, in addition to 33,652 injured.

At the level of schools in both the West Bank and Gaza, 17,345 students have been martyred, and 26,200 have been injured, while 746 educational staff members have been martyred and 3,117 injured.

In the Gaza Strip alone, 17,237 students have been martyred, and the number of injured has reached 25,000, while in the West Bank, the number of martyrs among school students due to occupation gunfire is 108, with 741 injured and 379 arrested.

Regarding educational staff, the number of martyrs among school staff in Gaza is 741, with 3,096 injured, compared to 5 martyrs among school staff in the West Bank, 21 injured, and 182 arrested.

As for universities, the total number of martyrs among their students and staff is 1,532, and the number of injured is 4,335, with the number of student martyrs from Gaza universities being 1,271, and the injured 2,683, compared to 35 martyrs from West Bank universities, 231 injured, and 413 arrested.

Additionally, 226 educational staff members in universities have been martyred, and 1,438 have been injured, all from Gaza.

The occupation has destroyed more than 63 university buildings completely, in addition to more than 172 public schools, while 118 other public schools have been partially destroyed due to bombing and vandalism, in addition to more than 100 UNRWA schools that have been bombed and vandalized.

In the West Bank, 152 schools have been vandalized, and 28 schools with their students and teachers have been removed from the educational register due to the displacement of the communities they served due to occupation attacks.

Meanwhile, 8 universities have been vandalized and stormed.

An Arab meeting warns of Israel's threats to the region and calls for an end to the Gaza war.

The Arab League's ministerial council meeting warned on Thursday of the occupation's threats to the region and called for an end to its war on the Gaza Strip. This came in statements from Arab officials during the 164th ordinary session of the Arab League Council at the level of foreign ministers, held in the Egyptian capital, Cairo.

The UAE chaired the ordinary session in the presence of the Secretary-General of the League, Ahmed Aboul Gheit, and the Commissioner-General of the United Nations Relief and Works Agency for Palestine Refugees in the Near East (UNRWA), Philippe Lazzarini. The council's proceedings, chaired by UAE Minister of State Khalifa Al-Marar, included a review of several Arab and regional issues.

In his speech before handing over the presidency of the session from Oman to Abu Dhabi, Jordan's Foreign Minister Ayman Safadi stated that "the world is facing an Israeli regime whose brutality knows no bounds in its destructive wars on Gaza, the occupied West Bank, and the stability and future of Syria and Lebanon." He added that "Israel is making Gaza an unlivable land as part of a colonial and displacement scheme, and it is besieging the Palestinian people in the occupied West Bank and their leadership economically and in terms of livelihood, in order to destroy the legitimate representation of the Palestinian people and pave the way for further displacement plans."

He emphasized that "confronting this looming danger requires collective Arab action. We must work together according to a comprehensive strategy—political, economic, legal, and defensive—that employs all available tools to protect our future and interests, and to safeguard the region's right to live in just and lasting peace."

The Jordanian Foreign Minister pointed out that "stopping the barbaric aggression on Gaza and ending the famine that Israel has created in the Strip under the eyes of the entire world remains our priority." Regarding Syria, he said: "We support Syria's efforts to rebuild on the foundations that ensure its security, stability, sovereignty, and the safety of all its citizens while preserving their rights, and we warn of the repercussions of Israeli attacks and interventions in Syria and its affairs."

Safadi added: "We stand with our sister Syria in facing all division schemes and in ensuring the security of all its people, who are equal in rights and duties," stressing that "the stability of Syria is a strategic necessity for both Arab and international interests."

In his speech, Aboul Gheit affirmed that "the council meeting is taking place in a delicate Arab, regional, and international context, amid a genocide being perpetrated by the occupying forces in Gaza that targets more than just killing and revenge." He noted that this war "aims to undermine and liquidate the entire Palestinian cause by eliminating the project of a Palestinian state, displacing the people, forcibly uprooting them, and seizing land through illegal annexation."

Aboul Gheit stressed that "stopping the massacre that the occupation seeks to expand is the overarching theme of Arab action."

Alongside the genocide in Gaza, the Israeli army and settlers have escalated their attacks in the West Bank, including East Jerusalem, resulting in the martyrdom of at least 1,017 Palestinians and injuring around 7,000 others, in addition to the arrest of more than 18,500, according to Palestinian data.

With American support, Israel has been committing genocide in Gaza since October 7, 2023, involving killing, starvation, destruction, and forced displacement, ignoring all international calls and orders from the International Court of Justice to stop.

This genocide has resulted in 64,231 martyrs and 161,583 injured Palestinians, most of whom are children and women, over 9,000 missing persons, hundreds of thousands of displaced individuals, and a famine that has killed 370 Palestinians, including 131 children.

For decades, Israel has occupied Palestine and lands in Syria and Lebanon, refusing to withdraw and to establish an independent Palestinian state with East Jerusalem as its capital, based on the borders prior to the 1967 war.

UEFA president clarifies his stance on excluding Israel from tournaments due to its aggression against Gaza.

The Slovenian Aleksander Čeferin, President of UEFA, revealed his stance on the numerous and repeated calls in recent times to exclude Israel from participating in UEFA tournaments at both the national and club levels due to the aggression against the Gaza Strip.

Israel has been waging a genocidal war on the Gaza Strip since October 7, 2023, killing more than 63,000 civilians and injuring over 161,000 others. Despite this, it has not been punished by either FIFA or UEFA with exclusion from tournaments, as was the case with Russia, which entered into a war with Ukraine.

Čeferin claimed that he is not in favor of imposing sanctions on athletes on the grounds that they are not responsible for the wars waged by their countries.

He stated, in remarks highlighted by the British site "Give Me Sport," "What is happening to civilians there (in Gaza) hurts and pains me, but on the other hand, I am not in favor of imposing sanctions on athletes."

He added, "What can a player or athlete do for their government to stop the war? It is very difficult. Now, it has been about three and a half years since the exclusion of Russian teams; has the war between Russia and Ukraine stopped? No, it has not stopped."

At the same time, the UEFA president dismissed the prevailing belief that football can solve political crises between conflicting countries, emphasizing that this is "not true."

Čeferin continued, "I do not understand the fact that it is said that football should solve these problems (wars); this is absolutely impossible."

He concluded, "I cannot comprehend how a politician capable of doing so much to stop the massacre anywhere can go to sleep while seeing children and civilians dead."

Čeferin had appeared in mid-August with two Palestinian children, Tala (12 years old) and Mohammed (9 years old), during the medal presentation after the UEFA Super Cup match between Paris Saint-Germain and Tottenham Hotspur.

Before the start of that match, nine refugee children from Afghanistan, Iraq, Nigeria, Palestine, and Ukraine held a banner that read, "Stop killing children, stop killing civilians."

The Israeli team Maccabi Tel Aviv is participating in the UEFA Europa League and will play in the group stage against teams such as Aston Villa (England), Dinamo Zagreb (Croatia), Olympique Lyon (France), Bologna (Italy), as well as Freiburg and Stuttgart (Germany), PAOK Salonika (Greece), and Midtjylland (Denmark).

The Israeli national team is competing for a spot to qualify for the 2026 World Cup through the European qualifiers, where it is in Group 9 alongside Norway, Italy, Estonia, and Moldova.

UN experts: Countries must stop Israel before silencing all journalists in Gaza.

Experts at the United Nations, including the Special Rapporteur on the situation of human rights in the occupied Palestinian territories, Francesca Albanese, and the Special Rapporteur on the promotion and protection of the right to freedom of opinion and expression, Irene Khan, expressed their deep concern over the continued targeting of Palestinian journalists, which has resulted in the martyrdom of several of them in recent days, including two female journalists, during Israeli airstrikes.

The experts stated in a statement today, Thursday, that "at least 248 journalists in Gaza have been killed so far, a number that exceeds any other conflict in modern times, including Maryam Abu Daqa, the independent visual journalist for the Associated Press, Al Jazeera journalist Mohammed Salama, independent journalist Muath Abu Taha, Reuters photojournalist Hossam Al-Masri, and Ahmed Abu Aziz, who worked for several media outlets, including Middle East Eye and Islam Abed, who was killed in an airstrike on an apartment in Gaza City."

With $45 million... Google signs a contract to support Netanyahu's campaign that denies the famine in Gaza.

Government disclosures from the occupying entity revealed that Google signed a contract worth $45 million with the office of the Prime Minister of the occupying entity, Benjamin Netanyahu. The contract, which lasts for six months, aims to fund advertising campaigns across the company's platforms that promote the occupying entity's narrative of the war and deny the existence of famine in the Gaza Strip.

According to the disclosures, Google and its platform 'YouTube' are classified as 'key players' in the media campaign managed by the government advertising office of the occupying entity 'Lifam'. In addition to YouTube, the spending includes millions more on platforms such as 'X' (formerly Twitter), 'Outbrain', and 'Teads', to ensure wide dissemination of the occupying entity's propaganda messages.

The campaigns funded under this contract include advertising messages and videos that directly assert that 'there is food in Gaza'. These messages stand in direct contradiction to the official United Nations announcement of famine in the sector, and its warning of the risk of mass starvation.

Families of Israeli prisoners are calling for demonstrations to pressure for a prisoner exchange deal.

The Israeli families of prisoners in Gaza called today, Thursday, for widespread demonstrations to pressure for a prisoner exchange agreement, accusing the Israeli government of obstructing efforts to end the war, in contrast to Hamas's eagerness to achieve it.

The organization stated in a statement that "time is running out," considering that the coming days will be crucial for the fate of the Israeli prisoners and the Israeli society as a whole.

It urged citizens to take to the streets to demand the return of all prisoners and the end of the war, and appealed to Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu and the mediators, including the U.S. administration, for an immediate call to resume negotiations.

It added that "the awaited good news for Israeli society lies in accepting the proposal of Yitkov to be part of a comprehensive agreement for the return of the 48 prisoners."

In a related context, dozens of high school students in the city of "Ramat Hasharon" in central Israel held a protest march during which they raised slogans demanding an immediate exchange deal.

Liran Berman, a brother of two prisoners in Gaza, stated that "Hamas seems more eager to conclude the deal and end the war than the Israeli government."

Berman added that Hamas's efforts to return the Israeli prisoners face internal obstacles from the Israeli side.

Meanwhile, former prisoner Omer Finkert expressed his "frustration with the escalation of fighting and his disappointment with all parties," noting that he had hoped for the return of the Israeli prisoners at this stage.

"Netanyahu the obstructer," for his part, accused former Chief of Staff Gadi Eisenkot of Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu, who is wanted by the International Criminal Court, of obstructing the deal despite Chief of Staff Eyal Zamir's announcement of meeting the conditions for the return of the prisoners, denying that far-right ministers like Itamar Ben Gvir and Bezalel Smotrich are the ones obstructing the agreement.

Eisenkot clarified in statements to the army radio that Netanyahu described the demonstrators and the families of the prisoners as "fascist brigades," so he should be reminded of the demonstrations he participated in 30 years ago.

In contrast, Israeli Heritage Minister Amihai Eliyahu, who called for bombing Gaza with a nuclear bomb, stated that "the only solution to return the hostages and ensure that this does not happen again in the future is to defeat Hamas," adding that the Chief of Staff should resign if he is unable to achieve that.

Disagreements within Israel have escalated recently after Hamas announced its and the Palestinian factions' acceptance of the proposal presented by the mediators (Qatar and Egypt), but Israel responded to this step with indifference, then announced its rejection of "partial deals," as it described them.

Gaza: The total number of dead reaches 64,231.. 84 martyrs in 24 hours and new deaths from famine.

The Palestinian Ministry of Health in the Gaza Strip announced in its daily statistical report issued on September 4, 2025, that 84 citizens were killed and 338 others were injured in the past 24 hours due to the ongoing aggression of the occupation.

Thus, the horrific total of victims since October 7, 2023, rises to 64,231 dead and 161,583 injured.

The report indicated that the announced figures represent only those who reached the hospitals, as a large number of victims remain under the rubble and in the streets, and rescue and civil defense teams face significant difficulties in reaching them.

In an important update to the records, the ministry clarified that 401 dead have been added to the cumulative statistics, who are those whose data has been completed and officially approved by the judicial committee responsible for following up on the missing persons file.

The humanitarian tragedy continues with other dimensions, as the ministry recorded the martyrdom of 17 people and the injury of 174 others in the past 24 hours while trying to obtain assistance, raising the total of "martyrs of livelihood" to 2,356 dead and more than 17,244 injured.

On another note, famine and malnutrition have led to the death of 3 new individuals in recent hours, bringing the total number of deaths due to these causes to 370 cases, including 131 children, indicating a serious escalation of the health and humanitarian disaster in the sector.

In light of these tragic figures, the Ministry of Health renewed its urgent appeal to the families of the dead and the missing to complete their data through the official channels it has announced, in order to fulfill and document all data within the official records to ensure that no name is lost from the records of the victims of the aggression.

Israeli writer: Accumulated reasons pushing towards ending the Gaza war

The Hebrew newspaper "Yedioth Ahronoth" published an editorial on September 3, 2025, by writer Merav Bitito, in which she recounts several reasons for ending the war and presents a series of justifications that she sees as sufficient to put an end to the reckless aggression of the Israeli occupation ongoing in Gaza.

Bitito pointed out that: "What the Chief of Staff said, as a senior military reference and a full partner in political decisions." The article also warned that: "The step of occupying Gaza endangers the lives of the hostages, and there is no point in entering the city crowded with fighters and tunnels without a pre-arranged plan for military governance, at a time when soldiers are suffering from fatigue and exhaustion."

Bitito noted that the state of the Israeli occupation, as a Jewish state, is prohibited by the Torah from sacrificing its children, considering that: "The prisoners and soldiers have become part of a continuous ritual of worship for blood and land," while she pointed out that: "Without a single rabbi appearing to stop this 'collective worship,' rather, the war leaders continue what she described as 'desecration in the name of the Lord' by exhausting more families."

The writer relied on history to affirm that long wars do not yield better results, referring to the testimony of the father of one of the soldiers who compared the ongoing war in Gaza for two years to the Vietnam War, which lasted twenty years, and called for an "Israeli Nixon" to free themselves from illusions, reminding that most successful wars in the last century were relatively short.

The writer considered that the state of the Israeli occupation is not actually ready to continue fighting, as recruitment data does not reflect reality, where silent rejection of reserve service is increasing, while the army manipulates the announced compliance rate, while many soldiers prefer to stay with their families after repeated rounds of summons.

The writer pointed out that: "The Chief of Staff who is shouting for change, and the head of the Shin Bet who resigned and took responsibility, up to the state comptroller and police leaders who see that public trust is taking a fatal blow."

She added that: "The Ministry of Health published new research showing that one in three Israelis suffers from anxiety or depression due to the war, which is double the rate compared to the period before October 7, amid the collapse of mental health services and the government's inability to provide an appropriate response."

The writer addressed the economic cost, noting that: "The cost of living has reached record levels while state funds are going to finance shells more than ever, and budgets for civilian ministries are facing continuous cuts, while the stock market plummets and the credit rating weakens, while reserve soldiers with interests and workers pay the price of their long absence from their jobs."

She mentioned international isolation, confirming that the state of the Israeli occupation has become ostracized in the West, and that heads of state are retracting previous promises and ignoring the rise of anti-Semitism in their countries.

The writer considered that the Israeli occupation government clings to the slogan "A people alone dwells" while the outside world is the one that determines the final word.

She added another reason, which is the loss of faith in humanity, civil unity, and the ability for national rehabilitation, warning that: "The continuation of the war without end reduces the resources allocated for healing wounds," affirming that there is nothing Israelis want more than the day when "this nightmare" ends, through a comprehensive deal that returns the prisoners, ends the war, and allows soldiers to return home safely.

Bitito concluded by saying that: "These combined reasons make ending the war an urgent necessity, not only to save the soldiers and hostages but also to restore hope to the people and their future."

Doctors Without Borders: Palestinians are facing forced mass displacement in the West Bank.

Doctors Without Borders stated that citizens in the West Bank are facing forced mass displacement at the hands of the Israeli occupation army and its settlers, which increases the risk of ethnic cleansing in the occupied territories.

A statement issued by the organization today, Thursday, indicated that Israel's policies based on annexing land in the West Bank constitute a serious violation of international humanitarian law and international human rights law.

The organization reported that "its teams witnessed in 2025 policies and practices designed shamelessly to deport Palestinians from their land and prevent any possibility of return."

It concluded that "ending the occupation remains the only way to alleviate the severe suffering faced by Palestinians."

The organization urged countries, including the United States and EU member states, to exert serious pressure to stop practices that harm Palestinians and displace them, and to ensure the end of the illegal occupation.

It noted that it "witnesses how the suffering caused by the occupation has become a more natural reality than ever in the organization's 36-year history of providing medical and psychological care in Palestine."

Channel 13 Hebrew revealed that Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu held a meeting at the beginning of this week, with the participation of several officials from the Mossad regarding the plan for the displacement from the besieged Gaza Strip.

According to the same channel, the discussion focused on ways to advance the displacement plan from Gaza and the possible diplomatic means to implement it, while it mentioned that Netanyahu tasked the Mossad with identifying the countries that would agree to accommodate those leaving Gaza.

Additionally, the Washington Post reported, through a leak described as the most dangerous of its kind since the outbreak of the Israeli aggression on Gaza, that a shocking plan was circulated within the halls of the White House, aiming to completely empty the strip of its inhabitants and transform it into a high-tech "Riviera" under American oversight.

According to the same newspaper, while the Trump administration described the plan as "crazy," human rights advocates see it as nothing more than a soft cover for crimes of ethnic cleansing and genocide being planned at the table and in cold blood.

It continued: The plan, which came in a 38-page document, proposes: temporary resettlement for more than two million Palestinians, presented as a "development project" worth $100 billion, utilizing artificial intelligence and investment visions that mimic the ambitions of Saudi Neom, but behind these shiny terms lies the features of a new settlement project that does not recognize Palestinian sovereignty and aims to engineer comprehensive demographics under flashy economic labels.

Furthermore, the newspaper elaborated: The Trump administration rejected a plan being circulated in the White House to develop a "Gaza Riviera" as a series of major cities with high technology, describing it as a "crazy" attempt to provide cover for the widespread ethnic cleansing of the inhabitants of the Palestinian territories.

The Washington Post had previously published a leaked bulletin of the plan that would involve the forced displacement of the entire population of Gaza, which numbers two million, and placing the strip under American oversight for no less than a decade.

It added: The proposal, dubbed the "Gaza Restructuring and Economic Acceleration Fund" or "the Great Fund," was developed by some Israelis themselves who created and operated the U.S.- and Israel-backed Gaza Humanitarian Foundation, with contributions from the Boston Consulting Group in financial planning.

It went on to say that the bulletin was leaked days after Trump held a meeting in the White House to discuss planning for the next day in Gaza, attended by former British Prime Minister Tony Blair, who contributed his views on Gaza's future to the Trump administration and Trump’s son-in-law, Jared Kushner.

Gaza is being annihilated.. The Israeli army levels a school to the ground in the Zaitoun

The Israeli army demolished a school in the Zeitoun neighborhood south of Gaza City, as part of its ongoing aggression against the city in preparation for its complete occupation.

On Thursday, a video circulated on social media, captured by an Israeli drone, showing the army demolishing the "Al-Furqan Elementary School for Girls" and leveling it to the ground.

The footage showed a massive explosion at the school site and its surroundings, while the area appeared completely devastated with destroyed buildings and streets.

This comes after the Israeli army launched a new aggression on Gaza City on August 13, which has resulted in the deaths of 1,100 Palestinians and injuries to 6,008 others.

On Wednesday evening, the army officially launched an operation named "Gideon's Chariots 2," aimed at the complete occupation of Gaza City, escalating the catastrophic humanitarian situation of the Palestinians.

The army has made "Al-Furqan School" a gathering point for its tanks and vehicles participating in the military operation in the area.

The Israeli army often uses buildings and homes in the areas it invades in Gaza as bases for gathering its vehicles and soldiers, before setting them on fire or demolishing them after completing its operations.

With American support, Israel has been committing genocide in Gaza since October 7, 2023, which includes killing, starvation, destruction, and forced displacement.

The Israeli army arrests a number of Palestinians, including leaders of the "Fatah" movement.

The Israeli army arrested a number of Palestinians in the occupied West Bank on Thursday, including leaders of the "Fatah" movement led by Palestinian President Mahmoud Abbas.

Local sources reported that the Israeli army carried out a series of raids early Thursday targeting several cities and towns in the occupied West Bank, concentrated in the governorates of Salfit and Nablus (north), and Bethlehem and Hebron (south).

The "Fatah" movement stated in a statement that "the occupation forces arrested the Secretary of the Fatah movement in the Salfit region, Abdul Sattar Awad, the youth leader Muammar Ziqan, the director of the Fatah movement's office in the region, Adel Al-Khafsh, and the youth coordinator in Salfit governorate, Issam Harb."

The Israeli army also arrested at least 5 Palestinians during the raid in Nablus, 6 from Hebron, and another from Bethlehem, according to local sources.

Alongside the genocide in Gaza, the Israeli army and settlers have escalated their attacks in the West Bank, including East Jerusalem, resulting in the deaths of at least 1,017 Palestinians and injuries to about 7,000 others, in addition to the arrest of more than 18,500.

With American support, Israel has been committing genocide in Gaza since October 7, 2023, resulting in 63,746 deaths and 161,245 injuries among Palestinians, most of whom are children and women, over 9,000 missing, hundreds of thousands displaced, and famine that has killed 367 Palestinians, including 131 children.

For decades, Israel has occupied Palestine and lands in Syria and Lebanon, refusing to withdraw and establish an independent Palestinian state with East Jerusalem as its capital, based on the borders prior to the 1967 war.

Israeli Army: It is not certain that the occupation of Gaza City will change Hamas's position.

The Israeli army considers that "it is not at all certain" that the occupation of Gaza City will change Hamas's position in the enclave, which has been subjected to a genocidal war for nearly two years.

Israeli public broadcasting reported on Thursday, citing an unnamed representative of the Israeli army, who said yesterday in a closed session of the parliamentary Foreign Affairs and Security Committee, that "it is not certain that the occupation of Gaza City will move Hamas," according to his expression.

On Wednesday evening, the Israeli army launched an aggression named "Gideon's Chariots 2," to completely occupy Gaza City (north), which escalates the catastrophic inhumane conditions of the Palestinians.

This comes as part of the ongoing genocide that Israel has been conducting against the Palestinians in the Gaza Strip for nearly two years.

In response to a question from a member of the Knesset from the Likud party, Amit Halevi, "Does the occupation of Gaza City even move Hamas?" the military representative said: "I did not say it would affect Hamas; this is not certain at all; the city has symbolic importance."

The agency added: "It was raised in the discussion that according to Israeli army estimates, about 800,000 people remained in Gaza City as of yesterday," according to its claim.

According to the broadcasting agency, "Hamas is moving diplomatically and preparing militarily to prevent the occupation of Gaza City."

It claimed that Hamas "is exerting intense pressure on Egypt and Qatar to convince the United States to stop the Israeli operation, under the pretext of agreeing to the mediators' plan, which Israel rejects."

It added: "On the military front, Hamas is preparing all available military means around the city to try to inflict damage on the Israeli army forces if the maneuver deepens, and Hamas's preparations also include attempts to launch attacks, not just to defend itself."

On August 18, Hamas agreed to a proposal from mediators regarding a partial ceasefire and prisoner exchange in Gaza, but Israel did not respond to the mediators, despite the alignment of its terms with a previous proposal put forth by U.S. envoy Steve Whitkoff, which Tel Aviv had agreed to.

Instead, Netanyahu is pushing for the occupation of Gaza City under the pretext of releasing prisoners and defeating Hamas, amid significant skepticism about the feasibility of achieving this from opponents and former officials, with the Israeli army confirming that the operation poses a risk to the lives of the prisoners.

With U.S. support, Israel has been committing genocide in Gaza since October 7, 2023, including killing, starvation, destruction, and forced displacement, ignoring all international calls and orders from the International Court of Justice to stop.

This genocide has resulted in 63,746 dead and 161,245 injured Palestinians, most of whom are children and women, more than 9,000 missing, hundreds of thousands displaced, and famine that has killed 367 Palestinians, including 131 children.

Isaac Breik: The plan to occupy Gaza will be catastrophic for Israel and will not weaken Hamas.

Reserve Major General in the Israeli army, Isaac Brik, warned that the plan to reoccupy Gaza could lead to "catastrophic results" for Israel, noting that the army lacks the ground capabilities and combat means necessary to decisively win the battle against Hamas.

Brik stated in remarks to the Israeli newspaper Maariv today, Thursday, that Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu's plan, who is wanted by the International Criminal Court, regarding the reoccupation of Gaza City, which he imposed on the army despite the opposition of Chief of Staff Eyal Zamir, represents a "death trap" for Israeli soldiers and captives.

He added that when the Israeli army enters Gaza City, all of Hamas's control centers will move to other areas outside the city, so the center of power will shift elsewhere, and the presence of the army in parts of Gaza City will not affect the continuation of Hamas's operations.

Brik confirmed that Hamas has not been defeated despite statements from military leadership, adding that the movement still relies on a vast network of tunnels extending hundreds of kilometers, of which only a small part has been destroyed.

Brik criticized the policies adopted by Netanyahu over the past years, accusing him of being responsible for transferring Qatari funds to Hamas, which benefited from them in building hundreds of kilometers of tunnels, as he described.

He also accused him of being responsible for reducing the size of ground forces to a third of what it was two decades ago, which weakened the army's ability to remain in the areas it enters and forced it to rely on repeated airstrikes.

The reserve major general pointed out that the army has not established specialized forces to deal with tunnels, nor has it developed sufficient technologies to destroy them, considering that the official data on the destruction of Hamas's infrastructure is "misleading."

He said that the continuation of fighting inside Gaza City will lead to significant losses among Palestinian civilians and Israeli soldiers alike, and will result in an explosion that Israel has never witnessed before, which could even push Israel's last allies to stop supporting it.

Brik added that reoccupying Gaza "will not lead to the defeat of Hamas, but will leave Israel without a military achievement, internationally isolated, and burdened with severe human, economic, and social losses."

Israeli Chief of Staff Eyal Zamir announced yesterday that the army has begun the second phase of Operation "Gideon's Chariots" in Gaza to achieve what he called the war's objectives.

In contrast, the Israeli Broadcasting Authority reported yesterday that a representative of the Israeli army during a closed session of the Foreign Affairs and Security Committee stated that Gaza City holds symbolic significance, noting that it is not certain that occupying the city will weaken Hamas.

Disagreements within Israel have escalated recently after Hamas announced its and the Palestinian factions' acceptance of the proposal presented by the mediators (Qatar and Egypt), but Israel responded to this step with indifference, then announced its rejection of "partial deals," as it described.

Israel followed that step by announcing its approval of a military plan to occupy Gaza City, which includes calling up 60,000 reservists, at a time when fears are increasing regarding the worsening humanitarian crisis faced by more than two million Palestinians in the besieged enclave.

Former Scottish Prime Minister accuses Britain of complicity in "the genocide of Gaza"

The former Scottish Prime Minister, Humza Yousaf, stated that he has never witnessed terrifying scenes in his life like those happening in the besieged Gaza Strip, considering at the same time that: "Hundreds of thousands of people have been martyred there in front of the eyes and ears of the world, while governments remained silent."

Yousaf described, in an interview with Al-Ghad TV on Tuesday, the silent governments as: "Complicit in the war by supporting the occupying state of Israel and exporting weapons to it."

In the same context, Yousaf pointed out that: The United Kingdom sold weapons to the occupying state of Israel during the ongoing genocide in the entire besieged Gaza Strip, affirming by saying that: "The whole world is involved to varying degrees in what is happening in the genocide in Gaza."

The former Prime Minister clarified that: "The British government bears a historical responsibility for what is happening between the Israeli occupation and Palestine," referring to the fact that: "Britain has previously played a role in complicating the Palestinian issue," noting that it has not played a positive and fair role in resolving the problem, and has continued over the past months to send weapons to the occupation and provide intelligence information to assist it in the war on Gaza.

Yousaf also pointed out that: The British Prime Minister, Keir Starmer, is aware of what is happening in Gaza, yet his government's actions do not reflect his statements, adding that: "The majority of the Irish people stand with the Palestinian people, while the government remains disconnected from the will of the street."

He revealed that his country has not maintained any diplomatic relations with the Israeli occupation government since the genocide, and that it condemns the efforts of ethnic cleansing.

He announced that the parliament is preparing to support the recognition of the Palestinian state, expressing hope that this would send a message to the world about the necessity of condemning what he described as the brutality of the Israeli occupation state.

Alongside the genocide in Gaza, at least 1,017 Palestinians have been martyred due to the ongoing reckless aggression of the Israeli occupation army and settlers in the West Bank, including East Jerusalem, and around 7,000 others have been injured, in addition to the arrest of more than 18,500, according to Palestinian data.

With American support, the occupying state has been committing genocide in Gaza since October 2023, resulting in 63,746 martyrs and 161,245 injured Palestinians, most of whom are children and women, over 9,000 missing, and hundreds of thousands displaced, along with a famine that has killed 367 Palestinians, including 131 children.

For its part, Israeli sources reported that: "Tensions between the military and political leadership have sharply escalated, and this occurred just during the past week." They added that: "Zamir confronted Netanyahu directly in a recent meeting regarding plans to expand the Gaza war."

Additionally, the sources indicated that: "Zamir urged ministers to consider the ceasefire proposal presented by the mediators, which was accepted by Hamas," highlighting that: "There are ministers who expressed their support for Zamir, including members of the Likud party."

Trump's Empty Promises

Hamada Farane

Hamada Farane

Opinion Writer

With a capitalist mentality, the investor who knows only narrow interests and expected profits, the most biased American president, Trump, who supports the aggressive, colonial, and replacement expansionist program, presents a multi-faceted proposal to solve the "Gaza" problem: human resilience.

His goal is to eliminate resistance as number one, and to reduce the human presence in the Gaza Strip as number two.

He has given Netanyahu a deadline of two to three weeks to continue his attack, destruction, killing, devastation, and extermination of the Gaza Strip and its people, after providing him with all the data that allows him to continue the attack and the killing and liquidation of Palestinian civilians, who in the eyes of the colonial leaders, such as ministers Ben Gvir, Smotrich, Katz, and the Chief of Staff, are merely inferior animals unworthy of life. Therefore, they are working to physically eliminate them and rid themselves of them through ethnic cleansing and genocide, considering them the breeding ground for resistance, thus working to eliminate the material human foundation that gives rise to it, aiming to reduce the presence of resistance and its continuity.

Theoretically, Trump seeks to create an enticing alternative to the Gaza Strip: Riviera Trump, a resort, a center of luxury, one of the destinations for enjoyment on the Mediterranean coast, which could be a casino, or casinos, amusement parks, etc.

Trump presents the alternative with enticing vocabulary, as a substitute for resistance, a substitute for human density, a substitute for poverty, a substitute for national dignity. Can he achieve his desires and ambitions?

What have the Americans promised regarding Iraq, Syria, Libya, Yemen, Sudan, and before them regarding Afghanistan, and historically regarding Vietnam, Cambodia, Korea, and before them regarding Cuba and Latin American countries?

Many promises, multiple emotional appeals, spreading illusions, dreams, and the outcome, as we see it, is tangible in Lebanon, Syria, Iraq, Yemen, and Sudan: divisions, wars, ruptures, and client regimes that do not even have the capacity to pay their employees' dues.

Who imposed hunger, disease, and killing in the Gaza Strip and caused it, before and after October 7? Who imposed settlement and the fragmentation of the Palestinian West Bank and made life difficult for its people? Who is working to tear apart the Syrian people between Arabs and Kurds? Between Sunnis, Alawites, and Druze? Who is working to tear apart Iraq between Arabs and Kurds, between Sunnis and Shiites? And in Yemen as well, and between Arabs and Africans in Sudan? Between Arabs and Amazigh in the Arab countries of North Africa?

Demagogic and misleading rhetoric will not be accepted by the Palestinian people, who will continue to struggle and make sacrifices for freedom, independence, and the return of refugees to their homes and properties confiscated and plundered by the colonial expansionist occupation project.

Finally, who proposed the project of "Greater Israel" and its expansion at the expense of Lebanon, Syria, Jordan, Iraq, and Saudi Arabia?

The State of Palestine, as it was in Palestine, will remain and will be in Palestine, as it should be, no matter how long it takes and how great the sacrifices are, for the Palestinian response is with its only choice: struggle and the continuation of struggle, and to remain in the homeland and steadfast in it and for it.

Gaza on its 699th day... Massacres against those waiting for aid, Hamas's conditions for the deal, and leaks about "relocation" plans.

The targeting of the occupying army at desperate civilian gatherings waiting for aid shipments, as the Israeli aggression on the Gaza Strip enters its 699th day, exacerbates the humanitarian disaster to unprecedented levels with the United Nations officially declaring famine, while the occupation continues its massacres against civilians, especially those waiting for assistance.

This announcement comes as a culmination of months of suffocating blockade, closure of crossings, and prevention of aid entry, a policy of "systematic starvation" that has led to the deaths of 367 people, including 131 children, due to malnutrition, according to medical sources.

The airstrikes also targeted the tents of displaced persons in the Mawasi area of Rafah and the Al-Maghazi camp, as well as homes in the neighborhoods of Sheikh Radwan, Al-Shuja'iyya, and Al-Zeitoun in Gaza City.

Amidst the political stalemate, Hamas renewed its confirmation of readiness for a comprehensive deal, specifying five essential conditions: a complete end to the war, the release of all hostages in exchange for an agreed number of Palestinian prisoners, the withdrawal of all occupying forces from the entire strip, the opening of all crossings to allow for the entry of aid and relief, and the immediate start of the reconstruction process.

Alongside the battles, the occupation's plans for the future of Gaza are unfolding, as Channel 13 revealed that Netanyahu held a secret meeting with the Mossad to discuss the displacement plan and identify countries that might receive Palestinians from Gaza.

Democrats strongly criticize the U.S. State Department for the lack of "basic oversight" of the Gaza Humanitarian Foundation.

Senior members of the Democratic Senate have called on U.S. Secretary of State Marco Rubio and U.S. Ambassador to Israel Mike Huckabee to disclose details regarding the funding and oversight of the Gaza Humanitarian Foundation (GHF), amid concerns over rising death tolls near relief sites, the foundation's clear coordination with the Israeli army, and reports of its use of private military contractors linked to intelligence operations.

The letter, signed by Senators Elizabeth Warren (D-Massachusetts), Chris Van Hollen (D-Maryland), and Peter Welch (D-Vermont), accuses the State Department of "failing to answer basic questions about GHF in a timely manner," and states that "the department's disregard for internal protocols and staff warnings is particularly concerning, given that it is unlikely to be able to conduct basic oversight of the funds it has provided to GHF."

It is noted that the letter, addressed to Rubio, Huckabee, and Russell Vought, the Director of the Office of Management and Budget and current head of the U.S. Agency for International Development, was delivered to the State Department over the weekend, according to Senator Chris Van Hollen's statement on Wednesday evening on MSNBC.

The letter reportedly states: "The State Department should immediately cease funding the Gaza Humanitarian Foundation, redirect the funding, or return it to experienced relief organizations, given the strong and increasing evidence of the foundation's (GHF) failure to fulfill its humanitarian mission."

U.S. President Donald Trump has stated that the United States spent $60 million in food aid for Gaza, while the State Department has only publicly announced its approval of a $30 million grant to the foundation last June.

A senior official at the department told a Jerusalem Post reporter last month that the department had only sent $15 million by mid-August.

The State Department has not published details of the grant it provided to the foundation, an omission that Senate members consider a violation of U.S. law. The United Nations reported in mid-August that nearly 1,000 Palestinians had died near the foundation's sites since it began operations at the end of May. New concerns arise as the agency was mentioned in a draft plan called "Riviera Gaza," which critics say would provide cover for a large-scale ethnic cleansing of the Palestinian population, reportedly devised by associates of the Gaza Humanitarian Foundation (GHF). However, the 38-page plan, which has not been officially adopted as U.S. policy, would be one way to meet Donald Trump's calls for "control" over the Gaza Strip.

The plan, first revealed by the Washington Post, also relied on consultants from the Boston Consulting Group (the Boston Consulting Group stated that the work was not approved and that it had fired two senior partners who led the financial modeling of the plan).

In their letter, Democratic senators also criticized the Gaza Humanitarian Foundation for its ties to the Israeli occupation authorities and its use of private military contractors who reportedly conducted intelligence operations. The senators wrote: "Humanitarian aid to starving populations should not be a pretext for military intelligence operations."

The senators also requested copies of award documents, internal reviews, export licenses for military services, and other legally required audit procedures for the operations of the global funding foundation, which have not yet been published.

A record number of Palestinian prisoners in occupation jails

A human rights organization stated that the number of Palestinian prisoners in the occupation's prisons has reached a record high since the beginning of the genocide in Gaza until this September.

The organization "Hamoked" reported that the total number of prisoners has reached 11,040, which is the highest recorded number to date, based on data issued by the occupation's prison administration.

According to the report, more than half of these prisoners are held outside the legal procedures, with 3,577 classified under administrative detention, while 2,662 are categorized as "unlawful combatants."

The organization clarified that a significant portion of these arrests occurred during the genocide in Gaza, which erupted about two years ago.

The administrative detention system allows the occupation authorities to detain individuals based on the whims of the military governor of the area, for renewable periods of up to six months or more, without formal charges or trial, which the occupation authorities use intensively.
