France will hold a conference called for by the Palestinian Authority, but Israel was not invited
The French Foreign Ministry stated that “participating countries such as Egypt, Jordan, the Gulf states and the Palestinian Authority will be invited to attend. But Israel will not be invited.”
Next Thursday (November 9), France will hold an international conference on humanitarian aid to Gaza. The conference is being held as part of the "Peace Forum" in Paris, which will continue throughout the weekend. French President Emmanuel Macron said, "The war on terrorism does not justify sacrificing civilians in the ongoing operations in Gaza."
The French Foreign Ministry stated, "Partner countries in the Middle East such as Egypt, Jordan, the Gulf states and the Arab League will be invited to attend the conference. The Palestinian Authority will be invited - but not Israel." European Union countries and G20 powers, with the exception of Russia, were also invited.
The participants will be alongside United Nations agencies and non-governmental organizations at the level of heads of state and government and foreign ministers. The first part of the committee will deal with aid in the areas of food, medicine, fuel and electricity, while ensuring that the aid does not reach the Hamas organization. The second part includes promises of new donations and a discussion of establishing Humanitarian corridors to transport aid and evacuate the wounded in the Gaza Strip.
