Haaretz: The Netanyahu government ignores Hamas paying the price of the West Bank attacks in Gaza
The Hebrew newspaper Haaretz said, on Wednesday, that the government of Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu is continuing the policy of the Bennett-Lapid government to avoid holding Hamas in the Gaza Strip responsible for the attacks in the West Bank.
According to the newspaper, the Hamas leadership in Gaza is an active partner in efforts to ignite the situation in the West Bank.
The newspaper considered that placing responsibility on Hamas in Gaza requires measures in the Strip, but the current government has avoided that so far.
She said: Israel still allows about 18,000 workers to enter from the Strip to the Green Line, which is the price of calm and stability that it pays to Hamas, but at the present time it also involves ignoring the dangerous activities of the movement directed at the West Bank.
And I considered holding Netanyahu responsible for what is happening to Iran as the easiest option to blame it, especially since there is not much to be done against it anyway.
She pointed out that Iran, Hamas and Hezbollah are constantly seeking to ignite the situation in the West Bank and are trying to smuggle explosive devices in various ways, in an attempt to turn the recent wave of attacks into more deadly ones.
