2322 administrative detainees from the outset of this year

The Commission for Detainees and Ex-Detainees Affairs revealed, this morning, Monday, that the total number of administrative detention decisions since the beginning of this year 2023, until the end of last August, amounted to (2322) new or renewal decisions.

The authority stated that in the past month of August, the Israeli military courts issued (362) administrative detention orders, (230) new detention orders, and (132) renewal orders, in a similar manner to the previous month, in which the total number of administrative decisions reached (370). .

The Commission indicated that the number of appeal files submitted by the Commission on administrative detention decisions, which were considered, amounted to (111) files during the month of August only, as the Israeli courts rejected the majority of them, without giving any real or convincing reasons for this rejection.

The Commission confirmed that the total numbers and statistics above exposed the Israeli judicial system, which insists on implementing the instructions and orders of intelligence officers and the Shin Bet security service in arresting the Palestinian people, without indicting them or bringing them to court.

The committee called for real international action to stop this farce, and to put an end to the fascist occupation system, which operates according to the instructions of the extremist Israeli Itamar Ben Gvir, and behind him the political and military components of the occupying state, who all seek to create a complex life inside prisons and detention centers, based on restrictions, punishments and deprivation.
