Yedioth: The Hilltop Boys are in direct contact with ministers and Knesset members

The Hebrew newspaper, Yedioth Ahronoth, said today, Monday, that the settler groups that lead the violence against the Palestinians in the West Bank, known as the "hilltop boys," are in direct contact with ministers in the Israeli government and members of the Knesset.

According to the newspaper, these settlers are in almost direct contact with the advisors of the ministers, Itamar Ben Gvir, Bezalel Smotrich, and members of the Knesset.

Sources say that these extremists consider the advisors of Ben Gvir and Smotrich as their address, and communicate with them directly.

In an unusual move, yesterday, Knesset member Limor Son Har Melch of the Ben Gvir party attended a session in an Israeli court that was considering extending the detention of 4 settlers who were arrested by the Shin Bet in connection with the recent attacks.

The newspaper says that some ministers and members of the Knesset receive testimonies directly from the suspects in the events.

The newspaper believes that the reality in the West Bank is getting closer and closer to real chaos, and the pace of events is causing restlessness and inconvenience among the Israeli security system.

It quoted a senior security official as saying, "The scope of the phenomenon is increasing, and if in the past we were talking about a few dozen rioters, today there is an atmosphere of committing massacre after massacre, in a hunting manner, village after village."

The newspaper notes that since Operation Eli, in which 4 settlers were killed, settler groups have committed more than 85 incidents of Jewish national crime against the Palestinians.
