442 attacks by the occupation and settlers last month
The Wall and Settlement Resistance Commission said that the occupation forces and settlers carried out 442 attacks during the month of April, which ranged from direct assault on citizens, vandalism, land leveling, tree uprooting, property seizures, closures, and physical injuries.
In its monthly report on "violations of the occupation and measures of colonial expansion", the commission stated that these attacks concentrated in Nablus governorate with 67 attacks, followed by Bethlehem governorate with 60 attacks, then Salfit governorate with 59 attacks.
She pointed out that the number of attacks carried out by settlers in the month of April amounted to 138, including their attempt to establish a new settlement outpost in the Jordan Valley, specifically in Sakot, and these attacks were concentrated in the Bethlehem governorate with 36 attacks, and Nablus with 26 attacks.
Moayed Shaaban, the Settlement and Wall Resistance Commission, said, "In April, the occupation authorities issued 117 notices to demolish, halt construction, and evacuate Palestinian facilities, ranging from notices of demolition or stopping construction under the pretext of non-licensing and eviction under the pretext of training. Most of them were concentrated in the governorates of Salfit with 42 notices, and Hebron and Ramallah with 21 notices for each. Of which.
Shaaban added that the demolitions carried out by the occupation forces during the month of April amounted to 3 demolitions of 11 homes, a commercial establishment, and a source of livelihood, in the governorates of Tulkarm, Jerusalem, and Hebron.
He pointed out that 2,220 trees were damaged and uprooted at the hands of settlers, most of which were olive trees. These operations were concentrated in the governorates of Bethlehem, with the uprooting of 1,705 trees, and the Nablus governorate, with the uprooting of 385 trees.
Shaaban said that, in the same month, the occupation authorities issued three seizure orders for military purposes, which stipulated the confiscation of 53 dunums of citizens’ lands in the Qalqilya and Ramallah governorates. square meters of the lands of the village of Azzun, east of Qalqilya, while the third order ordered the confiscation of 20 dunums for the purposes of expanding a military point on the citizens’ lands in the village of Ni’lin, west of Ramallah.
