FM: All Palestinian Nationals evacuated from Sudan

The political advisor to the Minister of Foreign Affairs and Expatriates, Ambassador Ahmed Al-Deek, said that the last buses in the evacuation operation set off this morning successfully from Khartoum towards Port Sudan, carrying the rear of the forces of the Palestinian revolution, who were present throughout the last stage in Khartoum.


Al-Deek said in a press statement that the plane carrying the first group of Palestinians who arrived in Jeddah took off towards Queen Alia International Airport in the Hashemite Kingdom of Jordan, which included military students, as the group will head this afternoon from the airport to the homeland, and it will be They were greeted by many officials and their families.


He pointed out that the second group, which went to the Arqin crossing, has already arrived safely at the crossing, and the staff of the Embassy of the State of Palestine in Cairo is doing what is necessary to finalize the arrangements for their entry, with full cooperation and coordination and with great facilities from the Arab Republic of Egypt, where they will be transported in buses equipped by the embassy, towards the Rafah crossing. On their way to their families and loved ones in the Gaza Strip.


Al-Deek pointed out that the Crisis Cell in the Ministry and the Embassy of the State of Palestine in Khartoum are following up around the clock the issue of the evacuation of approximately 42 students who arrived in Port Sudan in different ways and are awaiting their evacuation soon via Saudi ships.

He explained that, thus, the process of evacuating all our nationals and students of the State of Palestine who expressed their desire and communicated with the ministry to leave Sudan in general and Khartoum in particular would have been completed, with exorbitant costs that were covered by an honor from President Mahmoud Abbas.


The advisor to the Minister of Foreign Affairs said that the crisis cells will continue their work in following up all citizens and students who decided to stay in Sudan for various considerations related to them, and they are in constant contact with them to check on their health and safety, and will continue their work around the clock to provide evacuation or assistance for any emerging cases.
