A young man was martyred Sunday evening by Israeli occupation forces at the entrance to the "Homesh" settlement, built on Palestinian land, south of Jenin.
The Ministry of Health stated that the General Authority for Civil Affairs was informed of the death of Suleiman Fawaz Manasra (24 years old), a resident of the town of Qabatiya, after occupation soldiers fired live bullets at him at the entrance to the "Homesh" settlement, and that his body was detained.
Local sources reported hearing heavy live fire at the entrance to the settlement built on lands in the town of Silat al-Dhahr, south of Jenin. Eyewitnesses reported seeing a body lying on the ground and a gathering of occupation forces around it.
The occupation forces also closed the road between the cities of Jenin and Nablus, and the entrance to the town of Bazariya, alleging that a shooting operation had been carried out in the area.
With the martyrdom of Manasra, the number of martyrs in Jenin Governorate since the beginning of the Israeli aggression on the city and camp of Jenin has risen to 39.
