And the Saudi Press Agency reported that the Supreme Court announced that “tomorrow, Friday, is the first day of Eid Al-Fitr for this year 1444 AH, after the sighting of the crescent of the month of Shawwal was confirmed,” and thus the month of Ramadan will end on its 29th day.

Religious authorities in some Shiite-majority countries said that Friday is the completion of Ramadan, and therefore Saturday is the first day of Eid.
The office of Iranian Supreme Leader Ayatollah Ali Khamenei and the highest Shiite authority in Iraq, Sayyid Ali al-Sistani, said that due to the lack of sighting of the crescent on Friday evening, "Saturday will be the day of Eid al-Fitr."
In Lebanon, Sunni Muslims celebrate the holiday on Friday, and so do the Shiites who imitate the late religious authority, Sayyid Muhammad Hussein Fadlallah, while the rest of the Shiites celebrate the holiday on Saturday.
