The Cabinet approves a series of resolutions, and Netanyahu and Galant threaten Hamas in Lebanon
The Israeli cabinet, the Cabinet , announced that it had approved a series of decisions related to responding to rocket fire from the Gaza Strip and southern Lebanon .
The Cabinet did not provide details about these decisions, saying only that they were made on the recommendation of the Israeli army and security agencies.
Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu said after the meeting, "We responded tonight and then it will cost our enemies a heavy price."
While Israeli Defense Minister Yoav Gallant said, "Our forces are ready to deal with all scenarios and on all fronts, and we will know how to confront any threat."
In the context, the Hebrew channel Reshet Kan reported that the cabinet focused in its discussions on the Lebanese arena and the scope of the response there, and everyone agreed on the necessity of responding and directing it against Hamas in Lebanon and those behind the rocket fire.
According to the channel, the bad economic situation in Lebanon and Hezbollah's message through mediators that it has nothing to do with the rockets were a decisive element in the cabinet's decision to determine the response against Hamas in Lebanon and those behind the rocket fire.
An Israeli political official told Ynet after the cabinet meeting: "Israel will also respond to firing from Lebanon... We will impose a price on those responsible in Gaza and Lebanon, and we will respond to specific targets. It is not expected that the Israeli response will lead to war."
