More than 88 digital violations against Palestinian digital content last month

During the month of March, Sada Social Center documented more than 88 digital violations against Palestinian content on social media platforms.


According to a statement by the Sada Social Center, the Mita company ranks at the top of the violations, with 71 various violations (Facebook 56 and Instagram 15), followed by the Twitter platform 13 and the TikTok and YouTube applications with two violations each.


The highest percentage of violations during the month was for press organizations and media professionals, where the number of violations amounted to 69.3%, and it varied between deleting pages, personal accounts, publications, restrictions, deleting contents, and banning live broadcasts.


The percentage of males targeted during the month was 52%, while the percentage of females was 18% of the total monthly violations, access restriction 11.3%, and complete deletion of the page or personal account 19.3%.


While the geographical distribution of violations was as follows: the West Bank 60%, Gaza 13.6%, the interior and Jerusalem 9%, and abroad 11.3%.


The center monitored more than 21 publications that contained hate speech and incitement against the Palestinians.
