For its part, Hamas mourned the two martyrs, and said: "Targeting the leaders and continuing the assassination policy against the resistance fighters will not succeed in achieving security for the occupation and its settlers, nor will it extinguish the rising resistance in the West Bank. Our revolution is born, and our generations know the path towards victory and liberation."

In a statement, the movement called for an escalation of resistance and revenge for the blood of the martyrs, and to respond to the cry of Al-Aqsa, which is under threat and Judaization.
