He pointed out that his forces focus their work in more than one area and not only by searching for Tamimi, saying: "We are working against the lions' den , and in the end we will be able to remove this infrastructure and end this phenomenon."

Gantz touched on the recent decline in attacks in Syria, and whether this was the result of Russian pressure, saying: "There was no Russian pressure to stop our attacks in Syria."

He added, "We move and work when needed, not according to other agendas."

Regarding Ukraine, the Israeli army minister said that his government has provided humanitarian aid and received refugees, and has other considerations, including that it has common borders with Syria, in reference to the Russian presence there.

He added, "We are ready to provide any necessary assistance, and we cannot include weapons in this story... Ukraine is supported by a lot of Western aid, and now realizes that it must first and foremost defend itself on its own."
