Captive Club: The occupation has arrested 170 citizens since the beginning of the year

Ramallah - "Jerusalem" dot com - The Captive Club said, on Thursday, that the occupation forces arrested more than (170) citizens from the West Bank, including Jerusalem, in the first 12 days of this year, and some towns and camps witnessed repeated arrest campaigns. Most notably, the town of Beit Ummar / Hebron, the Dheisheh camp, and the Qalandia camp, which witnessed last night a massive campaign of arrests against (14) citizens, and they are among (25) citizens who were arrested last night, and until this morning, during which Samir Aslan (41 years) was martyred. He is the father of the detainee, the boy Ramzi Aslan, in addition to the arrest of the girl, Saja Abdel Rahman Jaber, from Hebron, where she was arrested a day after the demolition of her family home.


And the Captive Club continued in a statement; The arrests escalated at the military checkpoints during the past few days, as well as the arrests after summons made by the occupation intelligence to a group of citizens, in addition to the arrest of others with the aim of pressuring a family member to turn themselves in.


The Captive Club indicated that the arrests affected all groups, including children, women, the elderly, the sick, in addition to the wounded, and were accompanied by widespread sabotage and abuse.


It is worth mentioning; That 7,000 cases of arrests were recorded during the past year 2022, as arrests constitute one of the most consistent and systematic policies that the Israeli occupation uses on a daily basis, in an attempt to undermine any escalating confrontation against it, and to impose more control and monitoring of citizens, and more measures Systematic abuse.
