Ramallah - "Jerusalem" dot com - The Association of Arab Universities decided to select the Minister of Higher Education and Scientific Research , Mahmoud Abu Mowais, as a member of the Board of Directors of the Council of Social Responsibility of Arab Universities.

The Council enjoys an independent legal status, and was established by a decision of the Association of Arab Universities in 2021, and it is an active member within the educational institutions affiliated with the Union to achieve its goals aimed at serving higher education in the Arab world, and raising the level of performance of those concerned with higher education.

The Council is the first of its kind that works on framing, promoting, developing and activating social responsibility in Arab universities, through exchanging experiences and assisting in the development process of universities as a cornerstone in all sustainable development work.

In this context, Abu Mowais thanked the Association of Arab Universities, represented by its Secretary-General Amr Ezzat Salama, for this confidence, stressing moving forward in cooperation to serve the higher education sector in the Arab countries, and working to achieve Arab academic unity.
