A meeting of the leaders of the Israeli government parties to try to restore stability to it

A translation of "Al-Quds" dot com - The leaders of the Israeli government coalition parties are scheduled to meet today, Sunday, as part of their regular weekly meeting, but it is the first since the recent political crisis that befell their government after the resignation of the head of the coalition, Idit Silman, from the Yamina party, which led to its loss. The majority in the Knesset, which will be discussed during the meeting.

According to the Hebrew newspaper Haaretz, Bennett spoke in recent days with all his partners, but no joint meeting was held, indicating that today's meeting will focus on the need to work on the stability of the coalition and prevent the defection or resignation of any other Knesset member from the coalition parties before resolving the majority problem.

While sources in the government coalition estimate that the opposition will find it difficult to find another dissident or resigned, and that the coalition can be expanded by finding dissidents from the opposition or obtaining the support of the Joint Arab List, the Likud and other opposition parties expect the government to fall soon.

Bennett preempted this by announcing his party's Knesset member, "Amichai Shikli," as a dissident, a step aimed at preventing the opposition from exploiting the possibility of submitting his resignation, thus losing the coalition other seats in the Knesset.
