Khamenei Vows 'Unforgettable Lessons' to Washington, Calls Trump's Signature 'Worthless'

Iran's Supreme Leader on Saturday issued strong warnings to the United States, vowing that it would receive 'unforgettable lessons' as a result of its escalating policies in the region. In a written message broadcast through official channels, he affirmed that recent American actions reflect a clear desire to ignite war, emphasizing that Tehran and its allies in the 'Axis of Resistance' will not stand idly by in the face of these threats.

The Iranian leader considered the memorandum of understanding signed by US President Donald Trump to end the war in the Middle East to have completely lost its value. He explained that repeated violations of promises by Washington have proven that the American signature is devoid of any credibility, describing American behavior as a mixture of brutality and tyranny inherent in White House policies.

This verbal escalation comes in the wake of military attacks carried out by Iran, targeting US military sites in Kuwait, Jordan, and Bahrain. Sources reported that these strikes were a direct response to a series of American airstrikes that targeted Iranian territory during the past period, signaling the conflict's entry into a new phase of direct confrontation.

In an interpretation of the statement's implications, informed sources indicated that the Iranian leader attempted to balance the language of military threat with support for internal state institutions. He called on citizens to trust the performance of Iranian officials, including the heads of the three branches of government, amid increasing criticism directed at the negotiation process with international powers.

The statement affirmed that all Iranian state institutions are working in full coordination to protect national security and preserve the country's supreme interests. It also praised the role played by the armed forces in confronting American moves, considering that the military field goes hand in hand with political efforts to protect Iranian sovereignty.

Despite the sharp tone, observers noted that the statement did not include an official announcement of a final withdrawal from the memorandum of understanding with Washington. However, there is a conviction in Tehran that the agreement has become practically stalled, given what Iran describes as the American side's failure to adhere to the 'step-for-step' principle on which the understandings were based.

Tehran accuses the US administration of reneging on essential provisions related to securing navigation in the Strait of Hormuz and granting the necessary oil exemptions for the Iranian economy. The accusations also include obstructing the release of frozen Iranian funds abroad and failing to adhere to a ceasefire on the burning regional fronts, including the Lebanese arena.

For its part, the Iranian Ministry of Foreign Affairs, through its officials, affirmed that Tehran has effectively suspended the implementation of its obligations contained in the memorandum of understanding in response to 'American violations.' The Foreign Ministry spokesman stressed that the continuation of American military attacks makes it difficult to return to the negotiating table under current circumstances, holding Washington fully responsible for the deterioration of the situation.

In a related context, the Iranian discourse focused on the role of the 'Axis of Resistance' as an active element in the next phase of the conflict. The Leader indicated that coordination between Tehran and its allies in the region will escalate to confront what he described as American arrogance, emphasizing that Iranian military capabilities are capable of creating a real deterrent balance.

The statement concluded by affirming that the Iranian government continues to work on two tracks; the first is to confront external pressures militarily and politically, and the second is to ensure the stability of citizens' daily lives and provide essential services. This comes in an attempt to absorb popular anger resulting from the repercussions of sanctions and increasing military tensions in the region.

The American enemy seeks to ignite war, and it must realize that the Iranian nation and the Axis of Resistance have unforgettable lessons to teach it.
