Gaza Health: 19 martyrs and 60 injured due to occupation attacks within two days

Medical sources in the Gaza Strip reported today, Saturday, the martyrdom of 19 Palestinian individuals and the injury of about 60 others with varying degrees of wounds, as a result of a series of Israeli attacks that occurred over the past forty-eight hours. The sources clarified that among the martyrs, one person succumbed to previous injuries, in addition to the retrieval of the bodies of two martyrs from areas subjected to shelling, reflecting the continued escalation on the ground despite existing understandings.

The Ministry of Health confirmed in its press statement that civil defense and ambulance crews face extreme difficulties in reaching a number of victims who are still trapped under the rubble of destroyed homes and in rugged roads. This obstruction comes as a result of direct and continuous targeting by the occupation forces of anyone attempting to approach these areas, which increases the likelihood of a rise in fatalities among the injured who have not received necessary medical care in a timely manner.

Regarding the toll of truce violations, the medical report issued by the Ministry revealed that the number of martyrs who have fallen since the signing of the ceasefire agreement on October 11, 2025, has reached 1144 martyrs. Medical records also registered 3703 injuries since that date, while specialized teams have managed to retrieve 802 bodies from under the rubble, amidst accusations against the occupation of systematically demolishing facilities and residential neighborhoods.

Concerning the comprehensive statistics since the start of the aggression on October 7, 2023, health authorities announced that the cumulative toll of martyrs has risen to 73,269 martyrs, including those who reached hospitals or whose data was documented. These figures reflect the unprecedented scale of the humanitarian catastrophe experienced by the Strip, where medical corridors are crowded with thousands of cases requiring urgent surgical interventions amid a severe shortage of essential medical supplies.

As for the number of wounded and injured, official records have documented 173,811 injuries arriving at various health facilities in the governorates of the Gaza Strip since the outbreak of the war. The occupation forces continue their grave violations of the active truce through artillery shelling and direct gunfire, placing the international community before its responsibilities to stop these transgressions and protect civilians and medical facilities that have not been spared from direct targeting.

A number of victims are still trapped under the rubble and in the streets, with ambulance crews unable to reach them due to occupation targeting.
