Martyrs in Gaza and the occupation moves the 'Yellow Line' to deepen its control east of Deir al-Balah

Three Palestinian citizens were martyred and others sustained various injuries this Saturday morning, as a result of an attack carried out by Israeli occupation drones targeting a gathering of civilians in Al-Zaytoun neighborhood in Gaza City. Medical sources reported that the bodies of the martyrs and the injured were transferred to Al-Ma'madani Hospital, after a 'quadcopter' drone targeted a group of citizens near Dawla intersection in the aforementioned neighborhood.

In a simultaneous field escalation, occupation forces continued their violations of the ceasefire agreement in effect in the Gaza Strip, as a drone targeted the Al-Zahraa school camp, which houses hundreds of displaced people in Al-Shuja'iyya neighborhood, east of the city. This direct targeting resulted in the injury of one citizen, amidst a state of panic among the displaced families who lack the most basic safety requirements.

The northern and central areas of the Strip were not spared from these attacks, as occupation vehicles stationed north of Beit Lahia town fired flares heavily into the sky of the area, raising fears of imminent ground movements. Vehicles stationed near the pharmaceutical factory at what is known as the 'Yellow Line' also opened fire with their machine guns towards agricultural lands and homes east of Deir al-Balah city.

The early hours of dawn witnessed a remarkable military movement, as the Israeli army expanded its occupation in the eastern areas of Deir al-Balah city in the central Gaza Strip. Several military vehicles, supported by a heavy bulldozer, advanced dozens of meters into the vicinity of 'Abu Miri' roundabout, under heavy artillery shelling and indiscriminate firing to secure the incursion.

Israeli bulldozers moved the concrete blocks that define the 'Yellow Line' for a distance of up to 100 meters westward, before the invading force withdrew to its previous positions. This field measure aims to seize more Palestinian lands and annex them to the buffer security zone imposed by the occupation along the eastern borders of the Strip.

Dozens of Palestinian families in the targeted area woke up to a new reality, finding that their homes were now located behind the new concrete blocks. This geographical change practically means that these homes fall under direct military occupation control, depriving their owners of access to them or free movement in their vicinity.

'The Yellow Line' is known as a security strip imposed by Israel deep inside the Gaza Strip, where it prevents Palestinians from approaching it or utilizing the lands within it. Reports indicate that the occupation exploited the period after the October 2025 agreement to increase the area of this strip, raising the percentage of lands under its control from 53% to about 70% of the total area of the Strip.

These developments come amidst the continued bloodshed, as the latest data from the Ministry of Health indicate that the continuous Israeli violations since the signing of the agreement have led to the martyrdom of 1127 people. These attacks have also resulted in the injury of 3643 Palestinians, amidst international silence regarding the systematic field expansion practiced by the Israeli army at the expense of citizens' lands.

Dozens of families were surprised that the concrete blocks had moved past their homes westward, meaning they were now within the Israeli army's control.
