Khamenei calls for not exaggerating or downplaying Israel's attack on Iran
Iranian Supreme Leader Ali Khamenei called on Sunday not to exaggerate or downplay the strikes launched by Israel on Iran, and he also spoke about confusing Tel Aviv's calculations and making it understand the extent of his country's strength.
"The Zionist regime's aggression that took place two nights ago should neither be exaggerated nor downplayed," Khamenei was quoted as saying by Iran's Tasnim news agency during a meeting with families of Iranians killed in Tehran.
He said that determining how to make Israel understand the extent of Iran's strength and will is a responsibility that falls on the officials, and that this must be done in the interest of Iran and its people.
The Iranian Supreme Leader stressed the need to "disrupt the calculations of the Zionist entity," and stressed the importance of establishing security in Iran.
He added, "Security is certainly one of the most important needs of any country and any society. If there is no security in society, there will be nothing, as there will be no economy, no science, no progress, and no family."
Israel launched an attack on Iran early Saturday morning, and explosions were heard in the Iranian capital, Tehran. Iranian authorities said they were able to successfully repel the attack, and said it resulted in the deaths of 4 Iranian soldiers.
