Horrific crimes and systematic torture against Palestinian detainees
The occupation army has been carrying out arrest campaigns in northern Gaza since the beginning of the ongoing siege 20 days ago, in light of the ongoing war of extermination for more than a year, which is an extension of the arrest operations that have affected thousands of our people in Gaza since the beginning of the war, accompanied by horrific crimes and systematic torture. As a result of the great difficulties facing institutions in following up on the arrest operations that have taken place and are taking place in Gaza, there is no accurate data on the arrest campaigns, part of which are detention and field investigation operations.
The reality of the situation and the data and scenes recently published from northern Gaza constitute a new indicator of the horror of the crimes, their intensity and their extent. These are the same scenes that have continued throughout the period of the war of extermination, regarding the detention operations and the arrest of thousands of citizens in open places, in humiliating and degrading conditions, and under the threat of weapons.
There are hundreds of detainees from Gaza who are still forcibly disappeared in Israeli prisons and camps. According to accounts from those released from the occupation prisons, there are detainees who were martyred in prisons and camps, and the occupation has not announced their identities or information, in addition to detainees who were executed in the field, and others who face crimes of torture, abuse and humiliation. Based on visits made to detainees from Gaza by some human rights organizations in light of the legal amendments that allowed their visits, the testimonies and testimonies over the past period have reflected shocking and horrific details, including starvation crimes, medical crimes, and torture crimes.
Since the beginning of the ongoing war of extermination against our people in Gaza, and the escalation of unprecedented arrest campaigns, the occupation has arrested thousands of civilians from different parts of Gaza during the ground invasion, including dozens of women, children, and medical teams that were prominently targeted along with the targeting of Palestinian hospitals, as they were a target of the extermination. The occupation continues to implement the crime of enforced disappearance against hundreds of detainees, and refuses to fully disclose their identities and places of detention. It also refuses to this day to allow the International Committee of the Red Cross to visit them, especially in the "Sde Teiman" camp prison, which is a prominent address for torture crimes and medical crimes, in addition to what the stories of detainees and others who were released and their testimonies about rape and sexual assaults there.
Despite the efforts made by a number of Palestinian human rights organizations and organizations in the territories of 1948, in light of some legal amendments made to the regulations pertaining to Gaza detainees, in order to know their places of detention and later seek to visit them, these attempts are being made under severe restrictions and great difficulties and have not yielded any results.
Human rights organizations and prisoner defense committees warned against carrying out field executions against detainees, especially since the occupation soldiers have adopted this crime in an unprecedented manner since the start of the ground invasion of Gaza in the largest genocide crime known to contemporary reality, committed by the occupation army under direct instructions from the extremist Israeli government.
Until now, it is clear that the demands made by human rights institutions, the cries of our people in Gaza, and the genocide taking place in front of the world, have not been enough for the world and the international human rights system to stop the war of extermination, and the world continues to keep the occupation in a state of exception from all the laws and customs imposed by the human rights system that human societies are subject to.
