Ben-Gvir: Israeli attack on Iran is a 'preliminary strike'

Israeli National Security Minister Itamar Ben-Gvir said on Saturday that the attack on Iran is a "preliminary strike," calling for the next step to be "targeting strategic assets."

Ben Gvir posted a new tweet on his official Twitter account on Saturday, saying that "targeting Iran's strategic assets should be the next step."

He explained that his statement "targeting Iran's strategic assets is his position and he will continue to announce it in any other forums or circles."

Ben-Gvir added, "Israel has a historic obligation to eliminate the Iranian threat calling for the destruction of Israel."

Iran announced at dawn on Saturday that Israel had targeted some military points in the provinces of Tehran, Khuzestan and Ilam, causing "limited damage."

Iran's Air Defense Organization said in a statement that Israel attacked military points in Tehran, Khuzestan and Ilam provinces, despite warnings from Iranian officials.

She explained that the air defense systems "successfully confronted the attacks, but limited damage occurred at some points, and that the extent of the attacks is being examined."

On Saturday morning, the Israeli army announced the end of the attack against Iran, 4 hours after it began, while Iran confirmed that it had successfully confronted "the Zionist entity's attempts to attack some points in Tehran and the country."

"I can now confirm that we have completed the Israeli response to the Iranian attacks against Israel," Israeli military spokesman Daniel Hagari said in a video clip.

For his part, an Iranian air defense official told the official IRNA news agency that "air defenses confronted the Zionist entity's attempts to attack some points in Tehran and the country."
