The Civil Defense said, on Thursday evening, October 24, 2024, that the Israeli army committed a horrific massacre in Jabalia refugee camp in the northern Gaza Strip, after bombing 11 houses in the area of Al-Houja Street, Block 7.
The Civil Defense added in a press statement: "A horrific massacre is being committed by the occupation army now in the area of Al-Houja Street, Block 7 in Jabalia, and there is talk of more than 150 dead and wounded, and there is no one to intervene to save them."
He explained that the targeted houses belong to the families (Al-Najjar - Abu Al-Auf - Salman - Hijazi - Abu Al-Qumsan - Aql - Abu Rashid - Abu Al-Tarabish - Zaqoul - Shaalan).
The Civil Defense indicated that the occupation bombed a residential block in the area, and citizens are sending distress calls to head to the place to help transport the wounded.
He said: "Until now, citizens are facing great difficulty in transporting the martyrs and the injured after the occupation disrupted the work of the civil defense and medical services in the northern Gaza Strip."
Earlier today, the civil defense said that since yesterday, it has received hundreds of appeals through its media platforms and social media sites from families who refused to leave their homes in the town of Beit Lahia and the Jabalia camp and town, demanding that it respond to their calls for the presence of injured and martyrs in some homes and roads.
He added: "Some of our crews are still present in the northern governorate, despite the occupation army forcing some of them yesterday to leave the firefighting, rescue and ambulance vehicles, and asking them to evacuate the Beit Lahia project area and head towards the southern areas, and allowed some of them to pass through its checkpoints while arresting 4 of them."
The civil defense called on the countries of the free world, international humanitarian organizations and the United Nations Office for Humanitarian Affairs to pressure the Israeli occupation to allow our crews present in the north to reach the remaining civil defense vehicles and return them to work to resume providing humanitarian services to citizens.
