Palestinian PM briefs US Senator Blumenthal on latest developments
Prime Minister Mohammad Mustafa received today, Sunday, in his office in Ramallah, US Democratic Senator Richard Blumenthal, in the presence of Minister of Justice Sharhabil Al-Zaim, and Minister of Planning and International Cooperation Wael Zaqout.
Mustafa briefed Senator Blumenthal on the latest developments in the Palestinian territories, in light of the ongoing war of extermination against our people in the Gaza Strip, and the escalation of attacks by settlers and occupation forces in the West Bank, including Jerusalem.
The Prime Minister referred to the plans that the government is working on developing to move immediately after the aggression stops, especially emergency relief, unifying the work of institutions, institutional reform, developing the quality of services provided, and comprehensive reconstruction "Reconstruction of Palestine", in addition to working to achieve financial and economic stability, and creating a good climate for investment.
Mustafa explained to the guest senator the major challenges imposed by the occupation’s measures, whether through daily incursions into Palestinian areas, checkpoints and obstacles to the movement of individuals and goods, settlement expansion and settler attacks, in addition to the financial siege and illegal deductions from Palestinian tax revenues.
