Israeli Occupation demolishes Palestinian homes and facilities in the West Bank

Today, Thursday, the Israeli occupation forces demolished a house and an agricultural room in Hebron, in the southern West Bank.


The official news agency (Wafa) reported that the occupation forces stormed the Hasaka area, northwest of Hebron, and demolished a house under construction, consisting of three floors and a roof, belonging to the citizen Abdul Karim Zaloum.


She added that the occupation forces stormed the Farsh al-Hawa area, demolished an agricultural room, destroyed its contents, and damaged a number of fruit trees and retaining walls, belonging to citizen Safwat al-Qawasmeh.


Since the beginning of the occupation's comprehensive aggression against our people in the Gaza Strip and the West Bank in October 2023, and in parallel with the unprecedented destruction of homes, buildings and facilities in the Strip, the demolition of citizens' homes has escalated, especially in the so-called area (C), which constitutes about 60% of the area of the West Bank.


Data from the Wall and Settlement Resistance Commission shows that the occupation authorities demolished 318 facilities in the West Bank during the first half of 2024, compared to the demolition of 313 facilities during the entire year of 2023, indicating an unprecedented escalation in demolitions.


Jericho and the Jordan Valley:

Today, Thursday, Israeli occupation bulldozers demolished 3 residential facilities for citizens in the village of Al-Jiftlik in the Jordan Valley.


Local sources reported that the occupation forces demolished two residential structures with tin roofs, one of which was 120 square meters and the other 160 square meters, belonging to citizen Ayed Dais from "Tal Al-Samadi", and another residential structure belonging to citizen Anwar Joda from "Khirbet Allan" in the village of Al-Jiftlik in the Jordan Valley.


Bethlehem:


Today, Thursday, the Israeli occupation forces demolished a residential apartment in the village of Al-Walaja, northwest of Bethlehem.


The head of the village council in Al-Walaja, Khader Al-Araj, reported that an occupation army force accompanied by bulldozers stormed the Ain Hawiza area in the village and demolished a residential apartment belonging to the citizen Ahmed Samir Abu Khayara.


He explained that the occupation demolished the apartment that was under construction under the pretext of building without a permit. It is the second floor of the house of citizen Abu Khayara.


On July 15, the occupation forces demolished five houses in the cemetery neighbourhood in the Ain Juwaizah area in the village of Al-Walaja.
