The Euro-Mediterranean Human Rights Observatory said that the Israeli occupation army is escalating its targeting of all aspects and basic components of life in the governorates of Gaza and the northern Gaza Strip, to make them an unlivable place and push their residents to forcibly and unwillingly migrate towards the southern governorates.

The Observatory added in a statement on Saturday that the occupation army is intensifying its attacks in parallel with its continuation for the tenth consecutive month of carrying out the crime of genocide based on crimes of mass murder, starvation, thirst, deprivation of medical care, intimidation, arbitrary arrests, torture, expelling residents from their homes and places of residence, and emptying the land.

He confirmed the documentation of the expansion of the occupation army in launching raids aimed at eliminating the simplest aspects of life in the Gaza Strip, such as directly targeting vendors on stalls and Internet distribution points.

He pointed out that the occupation army targeted spontaneous gatherings of residents, including women while preparing food or filling water, in addition to continuing to target homes and shelter centers.

He pointed out that the occupation army seems to insist on preventing any attempt to restore the minimum aspects and means of living in Gaza City and the northern Gaza Strip, and to make life impossible there, to coerce the residents and push them to forcibly respond to evacuation orders.

He stressed that, in parallel with the escalation of raids, Israeli forces are making calls to the phones of residents in Gaza and its north, including recorded voice messages asking them to move to the south of the Gaza Valley.

He revealed that he had received testimonies that the occupation army uses electronic monitoring devices to identify people who pass through Salah al-Din and al-Rashid Streets, which they designated for passage from Gaza City to the south of the Strip.

He said: The occupation army directed residents to head to the central Gaza Strip, at a time when it intensified the aerial bombardment on those areas and launched dozens of raids that led to the death of more than 160 people, the majority of whom were women and children, including a large number of displaced people, during the past week.

He stressed that “Israel” deliberately intends, through killing and starvation, to impose forced displacement on the residents of the Gaza Strip and destroy all basic necessities of life, including targeting United Nations headquarters and committing mass murders there, each of which constitutes a full-fledged international crime in and of itself.
