The extremist Ben Gvir calls for executing Palestinian detainees by shooting them in the head

The extremist Israeli Minister of National Security Affairs, Itamar Ben Gvir, called for the execution of detainees in Israeli occupation prisons by shooting them in the head.

Ben Gvir said in a video clip that Palestinian detainees should be killed by being shot in the head. He called for the law regarding the execution of detainees to be passed in the Israeli Knesset for the third reading, pledging to provide a little food to keep them alive until the law is enacted.

The General Assembly of the Israeli Knesset approved, in preliminary reading, in early March 2023, the imposition of the death penalty on Palestinian detainees.

The bill, which requires two more Knesset approvals in order to become effective, requires the court to impose the death penalty on anyone who “commits a racially motivated murder with the aim of harming the State of Israel.”

The head of the Prisoners' Club, Abdullah Al-Zaghari, confirmed that the statements of the fascist and extremist Minister Ben Gvir represent a system that practices genocide against the Palestinian people, and only speaks in the language of killing and fighting any Palestinian presence in any form.

He added that Ben Gvir's statements went beyond the threat stage, as the occupation prison administration, for which he is responsible, has actually carried out the killing and execution of Palestinian prisoners and detainees since the beginning of the ongoing war of genocide.

The number of dead of the captive movement in the Israeli occupation prisons has reached 255 since 1967, including 18 detainees whose martyrdom was announced since the aggression began, in addition to dozens of Gaza detainees whose names and circumstances of their martyrdom were not disclosed by the occupation.

The Israeli occupation forces have arrested more than 9,450 citizens from the West Bank, including occupied Jerusalem, since October 7, 2023, along with thousands of citizens from Gaza, and hundreds of Palestinians from the territory occupied in 1948.

Simultaneously, in an unprecedented manner, the acts of torture practiced against detainees escalated, according to dozens of testimonies followed up by the relevant institutions, in addition to unprecedented crimes carried out against them, most notably torture, starvation, medical neglect, and forced disappearance, in addition to the tragic and harsh conditions of detention and mass isolation. And abuse operations.
