New leaks reveal the features of the Israeli army’s failure on October 7

Hebrew media revealed new leaks that highlight some of the features of the Israeli failure in dealing with the Palestinian resistance during the Al-Aqsa Flood operation on October 7th.

A report on Israeli Channel 12 said that most of the military sites located on the border with the Gaza Strip had failed a routine inspection campaign, conducted by the army 3 days before the October 7 operation.

The Times of Israel quoted the report as saying that the surprise inspection was conducted by the army on October 4, exactly 72 hours before the Al-Aqsa flood.

According to the report, only one military base in the division stationed on the Gaza border was able to obtain marks of success in the inspection.

Among the results revealed by the channel’s report is that the military sites on the Gaza border failed to prevent major intrusions, such as preventing unauthorized persons from entering on foot or by car without permission; As well as failure to prevent unauthorized persons from entering war rooms; failure to prevent weapons from being taken from the ammunition room; Or prevent the theft of sensitive materials and store keys.

Channel 12 also broadcast leaked footage revealing the extent of the turmoil faced by Israeli army personnel in the face of the Al-Aqsa flood.

One of the officials responsible for operating the drones during Operation Al-Aqsa Flood, according to Channel 12, said: “We spoke with a security official who told us that the enemy was present in the Kibbutz Meflasim area, but he did not know where they were and how many there were.”

Other audio recordings also indicated attempts by the Israeli military to distinguish between resistance fighters and Shin Bet agents who were present on the ground in various locations after the storming of settlements near Gaza.

The Times of Israel reported that these footage and recordings show for the first time the decisions made by those responsible for the Israeli Air Force’s drone squadron while trying to understand the chaos spreading on the ground with no clear instructions.

It also stressed that the Israeli army faced difficulty in responding, after overrunning the bases closest to the border, so that the chain of command appeared to be disrupted amid the chaos.
