Israel decided to submit a report to the International Court of Justice in The Hague, relating to the decisions against it that the court issued on January 26, following its examination of the lawsuit filed by South Africa against Israel, accusing it of committing genocide and demanding an end to the war on Gaza.

The Israeli public radio "Kan" reported today, Wednesday, that it is expected that the Israeli report, which will be submitted in approximately two weeks, will include Israel's response to the allegations against it and its discussion of the decisions of the International Court.

It is noteworthy that the International Court of Justice demanded that Israel submit a report on the interim measures that must be taken within a month since the hearing, and that it include the measures taken by Israel to prevent any acts related to genocide. The court also obligated Israel to prevent the destruction of evidence related to genocide, and to take measures to prevent incitement to genocide.

Kan added that it is expected that Israel will also respond, tomorrow, to another request recently submitted by South Africa to international justice, to consider Israel’s decision to expand its military operations in Rafah, and to determine whether it requires that the court use its authority to prevent further violations. for the rights of Palestinians in the Gaza Strip.

Israel's acquiescence to the decision of the International Court of Justice comes despite its claim that the international court does not have the authority to look into the situation in the Gaza Strip and its criticism of the decisions issued by the court.

However, following the issuance of these decisions, legal authorities recommended before the Israeli political level to implement the decisions of the International Court and submit the required report, so that Israel would not be considered as violating the decision.
